We will be at DLR Oct 13-17. We have never been to Fantasmic and would like to see it. I'm wondering what the usual operating schedule for the fall months is like. We will be attending Trick or Treat party on either 15th or 16th. We leave at 11:00pm on the 17th so won't have the option to go on the Saturday. Does fantasmic operate on Fridays as well? And if so is there usually more than one show at this time of year?

If it's the same as in the past, Fantasmic should have 2 shows on Friday nights also, at 9:00 and 10:30 p.m.:)

We stayed at DLR in Sept 2008 and Fantasmic was closed.

BIG FYI!!
When I chatted online at disneyland.com for vacation package information I asked about the fantasmic show and whether it would be closed again in sept this year and I was told (in disney speak) to keep my eyes open this summer because there are always new things being planned. What she said made me think they are going to be replacing Fantasmic with a new show.

I hope it is still operating. Oh well will just have to wait and see. My DD wants to do the Trick or Treat party twice, so we can always do this again on the Friday night.

there is no way they are replacing it.
They are adding LOTS of new things to it they added part last year an they are adding more NOW thats why its closed till its suppose to open. But from what ive heard it will be open this year (sep oct nov dec (im praying for it to all be correct.)
we are trying to go 29th nov

ps the trick or treat party..theres no reason to do it twice you your kid an how ever many more ppl you have with you each get a bag an it gets heavy an there is alot of candy in one night.) we bought the 10doller bag that says trick or treat or something.. well we fit all three our bags in it an it was soo heavy

Thanks for that information Jadedarkstar! I was so worried but what you said makes sense. I am hoping it is running when we are there in late Sept.

The halloween party is a real novelty since we don't have halloween here in Australia. Its the atmosphere we enjoy. We did it last year and my dd loved the decorations and seeing all the costumes etc. If we do have the chance to do Fantasmic on the Friday we will but if not we may go to the party again. Christmas is our usual time to visit, but family commitments have postponed that until 2010.

Fantasmic was down for refurb, from early-Sept. '08 to mid-Nov. '08, to add the new digital projectors.

Fantasmic is currently down for refurb, from Mar. 29 to June 11, 2009, to add the new 40-foot tall dragon; Flotsam and Jetsam; and I've heard a new crocodile.

Fantasmic was also down for refurb in the spring of 2008 to add better lighting.

I forget the dates, but the water around TSI (Rivers of America) is going to be drained sometime in the mid-January to March 2010 time frame, so Fantasmic will be down in early 2010 for 2 or 3 months.

In the last year Fantasmic has received a new lighting system, new digital projectors, and a new 40-foot dragon. And Fantasmic is still very popular. JMHO, this fall I would expect Fantasmic to be running on weekends, like previous years.

im sure it will be there for a long time (next year too) i dont think they would get rid of something they just spent money on to upgrade it
