I am a newbie here to the dis boards and I have just decided to go back to visit WDW this October!!
I am looking forward to this trip for many reasons!!

1. I love walking into the MK and seeing Walt and Mickey in front of the castle. There is magic all around!!
2. My very good and dear friend who is also a dis board member lives close to the magic and I cannot wait to see her again!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. I am looking forward to the Food and wine festival at EPCOT! YUMMY spanikopitas and baklavas at the Greece stand!!!
4. I am looking forward to riding SOARIN again! Such a thrill!!!
5. Riding Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl at AK is such a thrill with my fiance! He is such a big kid when it comes to these two attractions!!!
6. LOVE riding POTC with my honey!
7. Looking forward to seeing the new Toy Story attraction at Hollywood Studios!
8. Cotton candy only tastes the best on Main St. USA when shared with loved ones!!!!
9. Attending the Pirate and Princess Party!!!
---I can go on and on with what I am excited about.
I have enjoyed reading other's trip reports and seeing your pictures that I cannot wait to post mine!!

Have been reading alot of others pre trip reports and post trip reports and I have been in such a Disney mood all day!! (no different than any other day!)

I am a huge Disney Store shopper! I work near a mall that has the Disney store and during Christmas time I would go in to see what kind of good sales there were.

My fiance is a huge Jack Skellington fan and loves Stitch!
I love all of the characters! But Tink is my favorite!! she's just sooo sassy!!
So with that said, when I went to the Disney store, I happened to find some really good sales on t-shirts!! I of course bought them and put them away for our furture Disney trip! I love going on vacation with new Disney shirts!!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was back at the Disney Store in the mall and there a great Jack t-shirt for Jeff (on sale for 4.99!!) and I found two very beautiful Art Nouveau shirts for me. One has Princess Jasmine and the second has all of the princesses. I really wanted Ariel, as she is just soo awesome. But I love Jasmine too!!
In addition to the two art nouveau t-shirts that I found for myself, I found a really cool Sally shirt! It will be perfect to wear when Jeff wears his Jack shirt!!
I am sooo giddy!!

Now that I know that I am coming to WDW this Oct. I am having a hard time deciding where to stay. I know that I can save a TON of money by staying at the Pop Century or one of the AS resorts. But I really wanted to stay at the POLY. A girl can dream can't she!!!??? I then thought, well maybe I can stay at the Coronado Springs. I have never stayed there before and It's moderate and not pricy like Poly.
I was looking at some other Dis board members trip reports and I loved the pics that I saw of the Coronado! The room also looks great!!!

Only time will tell where I end up! I need to do it soon though!!!

I was just browsing disneyshopping online. Makes me happy to see all of the fun and exciting merchandise that's out there for us Disney Fans to buy.
Saw another t-shirt for Jeff for 4.99!! Awesome!
I will probably check out the store at the mall sometime this week!

Toy Story Mania is so awesome!! You will love it! I went to WDW in October of 2006 and it was such a great time to visit...the weather was nice (actually it was a little on the humid side-I guess they set records the few days we were there) and the crowds were not bad at all. Looking forward to more.

Can't wait for you to come down for F&W!

Colorado Springs is cool....big but nice....I stayed there after my friend Colette & I went on the 3nt DW cruise. For the mods my fave is still POFQ I love the feel of that property. I understand wanting to stay at the Poly - believe me! I've stayed at all the mods and values (except AS Sports) but have yet to stay at any of the deluxes.

Don't shop too much before you come down....remember to save some $ for F & W!

my very good and dear friend near the Magic!!!

I was also looking at the POFQ. saw some great pictures from others trip reports!!!! I love the feel of N-Awlins! and the pool is also very awesome there!!!

don't worry I am not going to spend too much before I get there!! I just can't pass up a good t-shirt sale!!!

Had a spanikopita and chicken souvlaki today for lunch. Just not the same unless I am at EPCOT F&W festival!!!

I think it's hotter here in NY than FL today!! UGH!! I have such a headache from the heat!!!!

Wow---I meant to say Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party.
I don't think that there are any Pirate and Princess Parties scheduled for this time. I haven't actually checked though.

Went onto the Halloween Horror nights website today. Very excited that the tickets are on sale!
Yes, we are also going there for 2 days. Jeff loves Horror and I agreed to go with him!! I did this once back in 2004 and I walked thru the haunted houses with my eyes pratically closed. MNSSHP is more my speed!! hah!

Just got off the phone with Disney and I am excited beucase I made some of my ADR's!!!!

Monday October 13th we are having breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at the POLY!! First time for both me and my hunny!!!

that night we are having dinner at one of my favorite restaurants Tony's Town Square!

Tuesday I have made reservations for Breakfast with Donald Duck and friends at Tusker House!! I did this one when it was at Restaurantosaurus and I loved it then, so I am sure that I will love it here!!!!

Wednesday I have lunch planned at the coolest place ever!!!!! Sci-Fi Drive In!!

That's all I have planned so far.

I could not get ADR at Cinderella's Royal table for Breakfast or Lunch

I will keep trying though.
I might make ADR's for Akershus. It's beautiful there!
It's also Food and Wine festival, so we will probably be spending a good amount of time getting some food from the different countries!!!

Okay...I am having trouble deciding on where to stay.

Yes, I am that person who has made their ADR's but still has no place to stay.

I of course would ultimately love to stay at a Deluxe property on the monorail, but budget will not allow this!

So, this is where I stand.
I can afford the Caribbean Beach or the Coronado Springs and I am having trouble deciding which one is for me.
Help!! please!!

On another note, I called back to check on breakfast with Cindy and friends at the castle and of course there was still no space. So, I made an ADR for Akershus. I of course will continure to check!! I am desparate to eat at the castle.

I lived in Orlando for three years and went to Disney all of the time, and I still have not eaten in the castle!!

anyhow, I am happy to just be going to disney to see all of the magic and all of the changes at Disney.
By the way, I just heard that they are officially closing all of the nightclubs at Pleasure Island. I liked going there.
Mannequins was hysterical!!! I could never got on anf off the dance floor!!
I hear that they are going to add more shopping and restaurants. I guess time will tell!!!

Hi Suz!!

I've stayed at both CBR and CSR - both are nice...Coronado is huge-that's the only negative I see for that hotel. CBR will give you the beachy feel, but if you do end up going on the Wonder - you'll get the best beach at Castaway Cay. CBR is closer to Epcot. Not sure if this helps or not

Do you have to work on the 4th?

What is this I hear??? No primeval whirl the week that I am planning my vacation>>>!!!!!!!??????!!!!!!!??????!!!!!???

Am I crazy for considering changing my vacation dates?? When I used to live in FL and an attraction was closed for refurbishment I used to think about others who have come far for their vacation and now their favorite attraction is closed!!! It's a terrible feeling!!! Now I am one of those people!!

I was really excited for my October vacation!! Mickey's not so scary!! Food and wine!! Halloween Horror nights!! Get to see my friends!!!
I would still get to see my friends if I changed to November, but I would be giving up Mickey's Not so scary and Halloween Horror Nights and Food and Wine!!!!!!

But on the other hand, Mickey's very merry christmas party starts on November 10th!!! I have never been to that!!!! I just checked the office calandar and I can come Nov 9-16th. I know that the ABC weekend is 15th and 16th, but I could start at Disney and end the vacation at Universal.
In Oct I was going to start at Unviersal and end at Disney.
Great----Now I have a headache!!!!

Please someone--help me make sense of this!!!!

I must be crazy, this is more trouble than it's worth!!
I just called and No breakfast at cindy's is available!!!

I already have my ADR's for Oct! I already have flights on hold for Oct and I already know of what is available for Oct for resort availability!


If we miss Primeval Whirl this time around, we will just have an excuse to get back to disney sooner!! right???!!!

It appears that Primeval Whirl will be closed until Nov 15th!!!
Well, there goes that!!
I was going to change to Nov 9-16th.
humph!

I miss those days of being a resident of Orlando and I could get to the parks whenever and not have to worry if an attraction was closed because I knew that when it reopened, that I could go on.
Now I have to worry about things like this and it just gives me a headache.

I still might change to Nov 9-16th anyhow. My good friend in FL is pregnant and her baby shower might be that week.
I hope that all falls into place soon!
I hate not knowing the specifics.
I really miss Disney!!!
