October BLT at 7 months?

I'm tentatively trying to budget my points out for the next couple of years. We are wanting to head down October of 2015. I plan to book an AKV dedicated 2 bd at 11 months. We are thinking about trying to switch at 7 months. If I am on the phone right at 7 months when they open is there a chance to get a BLT LV dedicated 2 bd? I know it's a very very busy time of year! To make things worse it would be Saturday to Saturday, starting Columbus weekend.

Oct is a high DVC demand time and middle of Oct is among the highest and you may have to wait list. At 7 months out in 2013 and 2014 for a BLT lake view 2BR, the Sat through Monday of Columbus Day weekend was gone and so was the Thursday and Friday night at the end of the week.

Don't the phone lines open an hour after online reservations do for a given day? The online bird gets the worm?

Thanks drusba! I figured you would know about the last couple of years Maybe we will just stick to September and save some points in the process. MNSSHP is pretty much the whole month of September now anyway.

Drusba, for a trip over Thanksgiving we are thinking about attempting to switch at the 7 month mark to VWL. Arrive the Saturday before and leave the Friday after Thanksgiving. For that period beginning Sat before Thanksgivng in both 2013 and 2014, nothing was open at VWL 7 months out for the entire 6 nights. Studios (and 2BR lock-offs) were gone most nights, though open Sat and Sun in 2014 and Sat and Mon in 2013, 2BR dedicateds were gone both years Tues thru Thanksgiving night but open before Tues, and 1BRs were filled Tues thru Thanksging night in 2014 and Tuesday and Wedenesday in 2013, and open the other nights.

Being a "small resort" seems not to be the major driver of filling VWL before 7 months out since VWL is actually open more often than other near park resorts during Oct and other parts of Nov and generally open 7 months out from mid-Jan to late Sep.
