October AP Rates are out

Just got off the phone with CRO. Total bust for me. We're going to be there October 22-27 I checked availability for YC/BC, Poly and GF. No AP rates at all for those dates.

Luckily we have a group rate at BWI since DH is running the TOT 13K Race. I've never seen such a small release of AP rates.

The only availability they had for a party of 5 was at Saratoga Springs.

THis is our first "Halloween" trip. We're booked at BWI, but I was a little nervous about the scary clown pool. We got a good rate though - $288 plus tax. I guess now I'll just hope for a newly refurbished room, or dream about an upgrade!

My WL ressie for 10/25 - 11/2 went from $2,655 to $1,800. I had to switch from a woods view room to a standard view, because the woods view rooms were already gone (in the first hour!), but she suggested that I try calling back later if I want to get the woods view room, in case something opens up. (I could have had a courtyard view room for $2,3xx, but I'd rather spend that extra $500 on something else!)

We booked a YC water view room at $295 a night plus tax for 10/25 - 11/2.
Originally I wanted the BWI but nothing was available for my dates and I called at 7:25 am EST.

I called this morning for ASMU and it was ONE dollar less than the AAA rate. I just suck with the AAA rate. (going 10/19-24). We needed 2 rooms or a suite and it was definately still the best deal for what we needed.
I was offered the 3BR Grand Villa for $1300/night riiiiiiiight.

The worst part now is that I want WL for our 12/4-7 trip and there is no AP rate OR AAA rate for that time. The CM told me to keep calling as they may open up some rates for that time. Hope so. Otherwise, I am out of luck. booooo!

I just booked standard POFQ for Oct 3 & 4 at $128 (includes taxes). I think she said the pretax rate was $114. I am excited because I always want POFQ and they never have discounts there when I call. This is the last moderate we have to try!

I have a current AAA rate for the Poly Sept 27-Oct 5th. I called to see what they could do. There was none for Sept 27 left because that fell under last AP rates released. I would have been able to get Sept 28-Oct 5th at the Poly with an AP discount though as it was available. I would have saved $50 per night for some of the nights and $12 per night on other nights. A grand total of $200 less then my AAA discount. I decided not to take it. I would have had to get an AP to get it and it wasn't worth it. I only need a 5 day park ticket for this trip so it wasn't worth it. I am sticking with my AAA rate.

I got $74 per night AP rate for Oct 8-14 ($84 for the weekend nights) at Pop. Nothing available at any moderate or deluxe, so I changed my ressie from POFQ to Pop. Never stayed at Pop so I'll give it a try. I'm also going to keep trying for POFQ or AKL.

I called about 45 mins. ago and got CR garden wing for oct.22,23 for $326.25 per night with the AP and BC for the next 4 nights at $331.88...

now they are pushing adding the dining package, which SOUNDS good, but holy cow, trying to get ADRs for a party of 5 is darn near impossible! i'm not sure it's worth the hassle of scrambling trying to find restaurants that have space for us (and i can't imagine doing a sitdown EVERY day!)...but it is SO tempting!

ooooohhhh.....they may be updating the site....give it a few minutes. It was still showing 9/27 as the last date for stays when I looked last time.

ETA: just checked AP site and I'm still getting the dates through 9/27. hmmmm......

I just tried to get Oct 23-26, I wanted CR - nope!

All they had were:
Wilderness Lodge VP Suite (6K!!!!!!)
POR - Have to get 2 rooms
All Star Sports

I got back in but the time before it would time out when I tried to log in when booking.

Now I go back in and NO rooms at ANY value resort for my dates!!!

I'm so upset.

We’re going 10/25-11/2

We had rack rate at the Poly GV, but couldn’t get it. Nothing at the CR. We ended up with GV at the GF. Not much less than our original rack rate, but still less. I’m thinking of trying another resort. DH doesn't want a beach theme in the fall though.

The AP rates listed are not that great at all. We were hoping to go 10/21-27 but our AP rate for july was better than these :O( Guess I'll call and give it a shot
