October 7, 2006 Western "Latitude Adjustment Cruise"

Palo.......hummmmm.....Palo vets help me here.....For those who haven't been........If you like Italian, you will love Palo. It is what I would call "real/fine" Italian. I personally have not been to Italy, but I love Italian food and this is good food. We were fortunate enough on our '04 cruise to get "the back room" at Palo. I think it seats around 12 to 14 people. Our server served us appetizers family style. We all ordered individual entrées. We were full after appetizers, but you can't stop. I had Lasagna Bolognese.....I love lasagna...It is better than excellent. Then there is the Chocolate Soufflé, they pour hot chocolate and vanilla sauces on it at the table..... Don't miss Palo. It might be the in the top 5 highlights of your trip. When to go?? While they no longer require a jacket in Palo, I wouldn't go without one. If you can get ressies on formal or semi-formal night, you are already wearing a jacket Are you hungry yet? Only 174 days till we cruise.
BTW Mr. 1971visitor, in case a certain picture comes to mind, remember there have a been a few pictures of you in the local paper lately

Danielle got us a cabin, so we're official. I didn't want to announce earlier because DW wasn't really sure about doing a B2B. But I explained we'd pace ourselves and not over eat, going to Luminere's for breakfast instead of the Buffet. The great news is our DD is PREGNANT We are very hopefully it'll be a girl but we'll settle for another boy. We were in cabin 2566 but I saw it was near a club, the converted conference rooms so we had a real problem finding the same cabin open on both cruises but success we're in 2598 Aft where we like to be, under the adult pool. I also requested a specific server and they put it in our reservation. If you read my report from the 4/15 cruise you'll understand. Thanks to MaryMargeret for keeping us up front. Before you board look up to Deck 10 and we'll wave around 11am.

Good to hear you are official. I read your trip reports and it sounds like ya'll had a great time. Congrats to your DD. I made the change to the list and will send out an update shortly. Would you like a couple of the dis-green wristbands for our cruise? If so, pm or e-mail me your snail mail and I'll send you a couple.

I sure appreciate very much all the prayers and good wishes when Laura was ill. She is doing much better now but still being followed closely by the doctor. She went to prom last weekend and looked so pretty!

Unfortunately I do have a bit of bad news. Due to various reasons, we've had to cancel our cruise. This was to be our first Disney cruise (or any cruise) and we never even made it to the ship!!! I have four wristbands that I can send on to someone who needs some or Allen, I can return them to you.

We really hope to be able to reschedule a cruise sometime in the future, just not this year. Instead we are looking at possibly going to WDW the week before December. I wish we could have met all you wonderful people.

It's great to hear that Laura is doing much better and she went to the prom! Sorry to hear you won't be able to cruise with us. Keep the wristbands if you like, I still have plenty of the adult size and I don't think I will run out. The good thing about the wristband is, you really can't see the imprinting on it. You can wear it anywhere Disney, and they mean Disboards. So wear them to WDW, and have a great time. Just because you're not cruising with us doesn't mean you can't come by and check in with us now and then and keep us updated. And, if you wind up in Tennessee some time, look us up.
