October 7, 2006 Western "Latitude Adjustment Cruise"

Beginning to finalize our pre cruise plans. Looking at Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort Wed-Fri at this point. Stayed there last year pre and post cruise and it was fine. Hey PhilKY part of our party flew BNA-MCO last year and will do so again this cruise. Contact me for details, I'll be happy to share what I know.

Husband and I are booked on this cruise. Can't wait!!! Celebrating 30 years of marriage!!! :cool1:

Congratulations on 30 years of marriage! That's twice as many years as us. We'll be celebrating 15 years. This is our first Disney Cruise too and only the second time cruising. First time was our honeymoon. We're bringing our sons too their first cruise ever and we're trying to surprise them. :rotfl: We'll see how far we get before they find out. We're hoping to be able to get them on the ship (taking a tour :rotfl2: ) before letting them know we're really sailing away on the Magic pixiedust:

I'm looking forward to meeting you all party: I just wish it wasn't 6 months away!

Still sending pixie dust and prayers to everyone needing it. pixiedust: Please update us when possible.
FYI Cruise fans.....Most of you have heard or read that Disney still has not returned to Cozumel yet. This is because all ships calling on Cozumel will be tendering until the docks are rebuilt. The days Disney westerns call at Cozumel, there are at least 5 or 6 other ships there. Rumor has it, Disney doesn't plan to return to Cozumel until after the first of the year (2007), or when the docks are repaired. Cruisecal.com shows the Disney Magic in Costa Maya on October 11, 2006. Disney isn't saying anything about this, much less anything official. So you are asking yourself why did I bring this up? :confused3 When you start to consider shore excursions, you might want to check out both the Cozumel and Costa Maya excursions, so you will be ready to book which ever port they decide to go to. :thumbsup2 Just thought I would give ya'll a heads up...Happy Planning!

THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU HEAR, AND ONLY HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE... :lmao: ..1971visitor and I were poking around the cruisecal.com web site, and the Magic is now being shown in Cozumel (with 4 other ships) on the 11th, instead of Costa Maya. :badpc: Good website. It has arrival and departure times as well. Check it out. Go to www.cruisecal.com and follow the directions.

Congratulations to you also. I hope you can fool your boys. Don't worry October 7th will be here soon!!!

For those interested and asking about Liz(Susan's) daughter Laura, I found this posted on another thread on the 18th. I hope she has continued to improve and I hope they don't mind I post this. It sounds like the news is improving. Give us an update when you can, Susan, and tell Laura we are still praying for her and your family. pixiedust: pixiedust: and also :bday: Laura!!

GOOD NEWS!!!!!

We got good news from the latest biopsy! The rejection has gone from severe to mild. The doctors aren't at all concerned about the mild and said some transplant patients live with mild rejection all the time. She can continue to wean down from all the extra meds and go to school on Tuesday for the start of 4th quarter!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the prayers on our behalf!!!

OH...HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA :bday:

I read in our Colorado newspaper that there was a storm and tornado in Tennesse where several people were killed. I know several of you are from that region and I wanted to make sure you're all okay. Please let us know. Thanks. :)

Thanks for asking. First off, everyone in our area is safe, :thumbsup2 just a few rattled nerves. We are 30 miles east of Nashville, in Wilson County. The bad tornadoes and most of the deaths were in the Dyer and Gibson County area about 80 miles north / northeast of Memphis. Reports from that area talk of total devistation, nothing left in some areas but foundations. :scared1: We experienced 60 to 70 mph straight line winds  with trees, powerlines, roofs and the like damaged in our area. While we had some serious wind damage in the Middle Tennessee area, West Tennessee had it much worse than we did. Another of our "Disboard" friends, PhilKy, lives in the Hopkinsville, Kentucky area which had a large tornadoe in their area the same night. Haven't heard from him lately. Let us know you're around Phil.
184 days left!!

Thanks for asking .... like Big Red (my little boy) said... we're all safe and sound compared to the west end of the state... we had some minor roof damage... some limbs etc, but nothing compared to what it could have been. Was anyone else in this area affected by this? :yay: :yay:

We're all fine! The National Weather Service has decided that a tornado did cut a swath thru our county. They have traced a 30 mile path the tornado cut. At one point there were "tandem tornados" on the ground here. There is a lot of devastation and lots of homes destroyed, but no loss of life! :)

Thanks for your concern. Can't hardly wait until October!

Good to hear from you, glad everyone is safe. :thumbsup2

Buckle up and hold on...Looks like another round of really severe WX for those in the MD South and TN and OH Valley regions over the next couple of days. Stay safe and keep counting the days!!!

Sorry no cute little icons included. I didn't see one in the selection where the little bouncing guy was "seeking refuge under a work bench or other sturdy piece of furniture" as the NWS says...

So far so good for those of us in Wilson County... but the folks to the north of us are in bad shape... 8 killed in Gallatin... :sad1: Looks like the lightening is about to crank up again... :scared1: !

Those last round of storms in Tn were very close to my in-laws. They're fine though. Everyone else do okay?
It looks like there might be a Mickey's halloween party on Friday the 6th at the MK. If so, we willl probably fly down Thurs. night and go. Anyone else?

This one was much closer than last week. The 8 deaths were in Gallatin, in Sumner County. We are about 12 miles S / SE of Gallatin in Wilson County. There were severe storms all around us though. Where are your inlaws?

Unfortunately, we won't have time to go to WDW this trip. We are going to miss the F&WF this year.. :sad2: Maybe next year. :rolleyes1

My in-laws are in Hendersonville. I sure hope that's the end of the big storms for this area!
What is everyone doing about Palo? I want to go for dinner but my favorite part of our last cruise was dinner with our kids and our servers. So I think we will probably "double dip" one night and eat an early Palo then go hang out with the kids in the dining room. Now, if I could just decide which night. Decisions, Decisions! ;)

I'm glad to hear that everyone out east is okay. I hope you're right about no more storms for your area. Sounds like you've had enough. About Palo - This is our first Disney cruise and DH and I will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary on board. We're hoping to be able to reserve Thursday the 12th for dinner and possibly be able to reserve for Monday brunch too. For those of you who have cruised Disney before what do you think the chances are of being able to get both? Does anyone know if they can both be reserved online. :confused3 We have the romantic package booked so I believe we can make reservations 105 days out.

Hubby and I are celebrating our 30th a little early on cruise. Would also like to book Palo so any suggestions would be great. :woohoo:

Glad to hear e/o ok during storms. Hurry up October 7th!!!! :bounce: :wave2:

Wow, Hendersonville got hit hard Goofyshell... we have family over there too, but they are ok also. This is just the beginning of storm season for us.. Spring/Fall are our worst seasons :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:
