We're leaving tomorrow morning, but then again we're only about 25 minutes south of the port so I think we may be the last to head out. Look forward to seeing everone tomorrow and safe travels!
....see you at the port.

That was my SIL, Janet being medical debarked with Tachycardia (sp). The medical staff on board was fantastic but they couldn't get her heart rate below 200 so the Coast Guard sent a boat to pick her up - gurney, defibrillator, oxygen and all. DCL sent a nurse with her and it looked like a bumpy ride indeed. Fortunately, when she got to the hospital they had a medication that DCL can't keep on board that stabilized the heart rate by about 8:00 Saturday night. She stayed with friends in Winter Haven when she was released from the hospital on Monday and was able to join us for breakfast yesterday morning and ride the DCL bus to the airport so she got a little taste of the Magic. Guess we'll just have to take another cruise so she can experience the full deal. There was also a medical emergancy on board that wound up having to leave the ship versus what looked like a very bumpy little boat.

Sounds like you guys have the scoop on all the happenings. I did hear about the person in the dining room - said it was a seizure and he had stopped breathing. Not sure if he stayed on board or not. When we did the dolphin discovery there was a little boy (2 yrs old) that slipped and hurt his leg. The mom, who is a pediatric NP, thought the leg was broken - did anyone ever hear? Just been thinking about him....
We booked a dummy date because I know we will change it to October 2009. I hope there are some different stops - can't wait to see the dates.
It was so much fun getting to meet so many of you. Sorry I missed the stateroom tour - I bet that was great. So, since you guys have seen them all, give me your opinions on them.
I thought my DH was going to scream when I told him how much. Plus 3 scrapbooks and photo album. We took over 20 rolls plus 3 disposable cameras. Maybe I should wait to get them developed....
to everyone. Keep the stories coming - it helps keep the trip alive!
I hope it clears up faster than last time, when I rocked for a full week (after a 3 day cruise no less!)
We did not get half the things done we wanted...didn't see all the shows, visited the adult clubs only one night (just looked in- didn't participate), found out DM and I are booze wimps..didn't like the tequila shots but didn't mind the margaritas (altho they were strong) does anyone else at the margarita tasting think the ship was rocking a bit more? I almost slid off the toilet seat!
THANKS! lildeb for the ((wink, wink)) drink! I cannot believe the cruise is over..and no I am afraid I did not book another..<sigh> do yo know I stood by the re-book desk and seriously considered it..but decided I really shouldn't. Needs before wants..this vacation I moved up sooner than I should have because of DGM. I really wanted her to have this time...and she did..thanks to my DM. She really helped her and did all the work. I did the pre-cruise planning and handled all the pre-legwork but DM handled all the on-ship work. She said her legs really got a workout. I tried to take the wheel a few times but the dear kids really didn't behave as well as I would have liked and would cause me to have to hand her back to DM. Neither one had anything to do with the clubs...some like them and some don't. I just raised little non-participators. Ordered alot of room service. OK..how many parents had to handle kid-breakdowns? My DD is the queen of drama! I swear she should have her own TV show!! Prolly get an emmy..or whatever TV shows win.
I heard a child with a broken leg was air ambulanced home from Cozumel because of the severity of the break. My guess is that this is the one you saw or heard about. Seems like the medical staff had a busy week. Hopefully they can get some rest this week. But let me add for a second time how fantastic they were.
I hope no one ever has to use their trip insurance. In fact, I bought it for our whole crew and figured it was just "the cost of the trip" since we had some folks with health issues (both going on the cruise and other family members) that might have caused cancellation. Turns out Janet had a recurrance of something that hadn't bothered her in 15 years, a totally DIFFERENT health issue than we ever thought of. Janet's trip insurance is gonna be the best $62.00 I ever spent!
