Selket and I are keeping our eyes on the weather since we're obsessive weather nuts. So far we're predicting a fantastic cruise with new and old friends. Pretty much the only thing we're certain of right now is that it will be HOT. Currently there isn't anything out there that would mess up the cruise but we can't rule out the occasional shower - it seems like the Caribbean has been pretty damp this fall.

I'll check the forecasts and post a summary later but it looks like about a 30% chance of showers pretty much every where we go.

Hey, a shower may cool things off; but then again it will make it steamy. I'm for overcast skies. That would be great, because that hot sun can be brutal.

I've got everything packed except the over night bag. Now for the final countdown. Magic here we come.

But my kids friends might be joining us for the meet. Caitlin will turn 9 on the cruise and Megan will turn 4 on the cruise. Caitlin is in third grade and has speech issues - so it sometimes is hard to understand her - because of this she is can be shy until she gets to know people. She told her mom she was afraid to go the lab, so I said she should come with us to the meet and make friends before she goes to the lab.
Hope it is not a problem.

I can finally say that we are ready to go ... the suitcases are packed and closed (we only took 4!!!!), carry-ons for the plane are ready, mail & newspapers have been stopped, Bank Notified of possible "weird" charges, the house is clean

Now we just have 3 more days til we get on a plane. Just think this time next week we will have already enjoyed a day in Key West and sailing to our next destination :

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been feverishly trying to get last minute supplies together. I've been to Wally-Wold so many times in the past two days they are begining to think that I work there and asking if I can cover a shift from them. If they payed me enough I might take them up on it (I could use some extra Disney spending money) . I finally, about an hour ago, finished all the magnets, T-shirts, and buttons for my family. I have 90 percent of all the packing done . I have also washed a mountain of dirty clothes the size of a small semi-truck. DS had a big camping trip this weekend a he has since created a new mountain to conquer. Oh well, there is always tomorrow. D-Dog also knows something is up! I got the suitcase out and it rolled on the floor and that's when the pee feast began. She gets so MAD, when we get the suitcases out she procedes throughout the house and pees on everthing that's not moving, including our BED!!!! But we still love her, just wish she could go with us. Gotta go look for new spots now, see ya real soon.

if we keep chatting after the cruise is done. That would be fun. Looking forward to getting to know new friends on the ship. Glad we're not on the Eastern this week. The weather looks a little stormy on the satellite view.

Well I am finally able to concentrate on this trip again! We just had our daughter's 2yr birthday party today and everything is cleaned up and now on to packing! We have our docs and buttons. Will try to do door magnets but will depend on the time. I am currently trying to do a travel file so we can keep things straight while onboard.

Texas Girl- Looks like we both have 2 yr olds and we are pretty close to each other on deck 6! As much as I would love to be hanging by the pool, visiting the ports, I wonder how much time we will spend back at the room for naps (on sea days!!)

Cant wait to meet everyone- we have the blue magnets!

LilDeb! I sure hope the kids come to the meet. I hope EVERYONE comes!! It's a great ice breaker to be introduced to others when your with your family... But the end of the week we will have seen each other so much we will all seem like family!

I have yet to do a stitch of packing!!! I think I have everything washed... and most things gathered, but nothing IN the suitcases as of yet.

My boy is sick, so that has been keeping me busy. I am thankful it's now, and I have been keeping everyone away from him, so fingers crossed. We did manage to put up a few halloween decorations today. Not much, but a few things to show we are ready!! lol I normally do a big display.. but I will add the rest of it when we get back. I like to be home in case something deflates or falls down

Tomorrow I lysol everything again... I just hope this blows throw fast

For rain I am packing our mickey ponchos, and I might toss in an umbrella... not sure why though... lol

Our shirts have had a first pressing, and now I need to print out the transfers and iron those on. It says to use a board... got to find something lol

Ok that's it for me tonight... Remember everyone.. Print out the maps! I think they are as good as they are going to get! I suggest also cutting and pasting the master list in the first post for handy reference. Sorry it's not in deck order... lol

Wow, looks like this could be named the "We'll get around to it" cruise, what with all us procrastinators. Thanks to the DIS-organized Laura for the maps and pertinent info (not to mention planning the meets, tours, and tastings) We'll probably be packing about 3 AM Friday, before a half days work. Rdy, sorry to hear of your latest travails - hopefully, the onboard will alleviate the angst.

Dosing up the DW with cold meds, she came home w/ a bug on Friday (she's a school nurse). Told her it'd be too bad if I had to go alone, yeah, sure.
One way or another, we're departing NJ Friday afternoon, and hopefully will make it to the Yacht Club dock by 8. Then, "sea" ya Saturday!

after all the work you've done, surely the rest of us can organize a list in the way that works best for us. I'll definitely be printing out the deck plans.

Gotta get with the program on the magnets too. Been getting some other chores completed and my cruise fun hasn't been done yet.

Oh Bridget.....I am SOooooooo jealous of you ......I definitely figured you'd be one to be so with it and together. Teach me how, PLEASE!!!!!!! I finally got all the laundry done. All shopping done. Most of the kids stuff and bathroom stuff is laid out. Suitcases have been dug out of the garage (that counts for something, doesn't it??). We have a crazy week, but since we don't leave til Friday am, I figure I am doing okay. I am absolutely certain I will still be up most of Thursday night......It's just my way. Darn it!

I haven't started packing yet either but I have started the "piles" of stuff that will go in the suitcase. I swear if I put the stuff in there I end up digging it out! The kids are still wearing their shorts and t-shirts cause it is so warm here. I should be able to pack the pants and dress clothes but I haven't!

How do you get the wrinkles out of your stuff? No ironing board in the room I'm guessing?

Someone on the trip report thread was posting about being on the Magic now and rough seas so I hope it calms down for our trip!

I might try to pretend we are leaving one day earlier and if I can trick myself and stay up all night one night earlier, then I might not drive myself (and more importantly - my family) so crazy!!

I can not believe it's getting so close!! So exciting!!

Thanks to all of you who are keeping us up to date on the weather - and Laura thanks for all of your hard work and organization. I'm sure I speak on behalf of all of us procrastinators......We really appreciate all the help!!!!

Recent comment about rocky boat makes me a bit nervous. I get sea sick and have to use the patches. They always work so well, but maybe I'll need to double up this trip!!:

My poor DD has to have an abscessed molar pulled at the dentist this am. I had to move my whole work schedule around and DH left on a 2 day business trip this morning so at least I have a pretty good excuse for feeling like I'm completely unorganized, right?
