**@@** October 6th, 2007 Magic**@@**

Yes! We did it! We closed on our golf course! Things have been really hectic here. We closed on 12/1; the same day that all the members renewed their golf memberships for the year. Needless to say, that was a really good week! We are still trying to figure it all out. Of course, things break right away so there goes lots of $$$. As fast as it comes in, it goes right back out.

I hope everyone is well and is ready for the holidays. We are heading out tomorrow up to Williams to go on the Polar Express. This will be our first time and the kids are so excited.

Well, talk to everyone soon...

So, uh, do you want to mention the name of your new course? Congratulations by the way. Perhaps we will have to frequent your new adventure!

We are headed up to Williams on Wednesday to do the Polar Express. Have heard great comments and are looking forward to it. Haven't told the girls, we are suprising them. Only thing Jenna knows is that she doesn't have to go to school on Thursday and that's all that matters!

The course is Trilogy at Power Ranch. It is in Gilbert on Queen Creek between Higley and Power. Come on out!

I have heard that there is a reindeer farm as you come into Williams that is worth visiting. I will let you know if it is worth it. Do you know of anything else there is to do there? We figured we might as well go early but I was wondering if it is worth it or will we be bored? Off to go do some research....

I have not been to the deer farm since I was 7 - I loved it then. I have pictures of the deer eating my dress. It was covered in yellow flowers. There is not much in Williams except the train! Have fun!!

OOH!!! I like this itinerary much better that the Eastern (well except I like more at sea days also) Pirate night followed by a day to sleep in is great!!! I had not paid any attention to it yet. Does anyone know why they are changing our port times?

Thanks for posting this!!

Ages? Old enough to know better and old enough not to care ;)
We're from Stafford, VA, and headed for the fifth deck....

I just wanted to announce that I am finally closer to the sail date than I was to the booking date.... WOOT Booked the cruise 295 days ago.... and have 290 days to wait!!

Hi there. My name is Sandy and I am pretty new to the boards, but wanted to say hello. I just took my first Disney cruise a few weeks ago (a 4-night on the Wonder) with some girl friends (all moms happy to get away for a few days) and had a fabulous time. Now I have booked the 4-night leaving Oct. 7, but am very much wanting to switch to the 7-night leaving Oct. 6. I really, really want the 7-night, but am wondering whether it might be better to start shorter and save the longer one for another time (after having made sure my kids really like it - can't imagine they wouldn't, but I guess there's a chance). My daughters will be 8 and 9 next October, so it seems like a perfect time to go (they will even be in the same sub-group in the kids club).

Anyone with thoughts on whether the 4 or 7 would be better - or on what the Oceaneer Lab is like - I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for letting me butt in!

IMHO, if you can go for the 7, you should. We took the 7-day last year, and it went so fast I couldn't believe it. And there's always something for the kids to do. Wow, are they lucky girls!

The one downside to the cruise is they actually make you get off when your week is up. :p

I am so happy you found the DIS! Welcome!! My Family did a 3 night back in Sept 05 and it was way to short... we were going to do a 4 day next, but opted for the 7 day for two reasons... First to be on the ship longer!!! And Second to have some ports of call that would be of interest to us as a family. The options for excruisions are way better on the 7 day and you dont feel as rushed to do everything!!

I suppose the big concern would be if your kids are seasick... but you could be proactive in that and bring aboard some remedies....

My girls will be 8 and almost 7 when we cruise... and we also have a boy who will be 4. :-)

As far as the Kids clubs are concerned, you might want to read up on the main cruise boards about them That gang has a lot of info on just about everything Disney!

Keep us posted on your decision!!!

After doing the 11 day, we are wondering if we can go back to a 7 day!! Thought about doing a repo instead, but, well, $$$$$$!

Do the seven!

Also, my MIL is coming with us!

Hi all, hope everyones holidays were great:) . Just bumping the thread so I can find it easier. I was checking our reservation today and we are in 6108 and 6109. Cat 6 with a cat 11 across the hall for our teens.

Hey everyone! I wanted to go ahead and jump in the thread and on the list.

It's me, Lauren, 34*
and DH, Jeri 36*

*ages at time of cruise*

Stateroom 6092, prefers late seating and doesn't mind linking ressies.

This trip is for our seven year anni. The DH thinks we're "just" going to the World. We have a DVC at Wilderness Lodge so he thinks the amount of time I'm now spending researching our upcomig trip strange as I could totally work the WDW useless information hotline. :rotfl:

I'm totally the worst at secrets. If he weren't working so much right now and so tired, I know he would have busted me out. Luckily, as I posted over on the main board, my dad has now asked me to look into a four day family cruise for Dec. 9. I quickly did up some notes for that and then hid my notes for this under it by the computer. What with my general sneakiness and my cat, I could totally be a James Bond villian! ;) They just got done with a Bond marathon here from over the holidays so I have a little Bond on the brain.

Nice to meet y'all and I can't wait to cruise. :woohoo:
