What to do... we just wanted to go to the beach, have good food and some drinks... of course we have the little kids so we want something family friendly and not too crowded or expensive.... any ideas??? Whenever we have gone to Cozumel in the past we always ate at Ponchos and then shopped, we we do NOT want to shop this trip, that is what Grand Cayman is for:) Anyhow help would be appreciated!

Ok, decided not to wait for TA and called DCL. The rep that answered started to tell me that DISboards is a "gossip site" and I should not use that as a source. I told her that someone on the site got a call from DCL and that it was not gossip. ANYWAY, had to call back a second time because even though the site said I did not have an excursion booked anymore, it would not let me book something new. It still had me locked into the other excursion. OK, all is fixed. I was actually looking forward to the butterfly farm. Thought I would be able to get some great pictures. I will have to look into the distance from the port and if it is something we can do on our own.

Glad you at least got it taken care of! We are just doing to tour without the butterfly farm, we have the Bronx Zoo here which has a great one and the American Museum of Natural History has one at times we can see... it will be OK I guess:)

Alyson,

We used a stroller on one of our cruises. It worked out really well. You just go to Guest Services and pick it up (there is no charge, but you do have to put down a deposit). They are nice jogging type strollers.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! We actually just bought a great umbrella stroller yesterday that we will take along (I have been wanting it anyways), it only hold one though, SO if we feel we need another for DS who is almost 4, at least we have the option!! Thanks for the info!!

I have one rule on vacation and reading.... Can't be anything heavy!! Usually I bring trash books LOL..

I have the new James Patterson set aside and I know I have 2 others in the box but truthfully I don't remember what they are so I need to dig them back out.

James Patterson is a great author to read on vacation. His books are a quick read so you should have no problem getting through the whole thing. Plus, each chapter is 2 to 3 pages, so you can pretty much stop at any point.

Doesn't the ship itself have a little library/lounge? do they have books to borrow?

On a side note - We finished putting together all of our FE gifts. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It is a total of 11 pounds. I have no clue if they will all (130!) fit into our suitcases now, But I don't want to bring an extra one just for this. Airline charges me $15 each. Thinking of maybe shipping them down. But that could cost a lot to.
Help.

Two years ago when we did this itinerary with our 13 year old and 9 year old we went to Paradise Beach in Cozumel on our own. It was not that expensive and we took a taxi on our own. We found it on its website on the internet.

Sorry. Wish I could help, Jeff. I have a separate suitcase for my FE gifts.

Thanks! We looked at that one today and it was at the top of our list! Thanks for the info:)

Kevin - We found the closets to be a good size, I would say they were 5-6 foot long with sliding doors on them. There are a few hangers in the closet and the room stewards will get you more but I always pack some just for an in case.

There are irons in the laundry room but I dont know how good they are, I try not to iron at home, certainly not on vacation either :)

Although I am afraid I will be ironing or sending things out as well. Probably send things out as I am sure that my luck when I need to iron someone else will be ironing or the irons will stink.

As for your packing issue.. don't come crying to us because you decided you HAD to have two weeks vacation instead of the one week most of us are getting... See what happens when you are greedy :)

Thanks for your help, love and support with regards to my closet and suitcase issues. (there's a little bit of sarcasm in there :))

Very nice. I would hope if I was in room 1054 or 8542 I would have figured that part out. lol

 The commas threw me off!!

I am making progress, but not completely ready. But I still have some time, right :goodvibes I ordered some new shoes, they have arrived and I must say they are adorable :) http://www.zappos.com/j-renee-whirl-white-patent
(I found them cheaper on another website tho!)

I almost finished my door decor - but ran out of blue ink in the printer. I am making steady progress on the FE gifts. Still waiting on my son's shoes to arrive, and have to borrow suitcases from Mom on Sunday. As I drive down the parkway, I'll wave to all my So. Jersey dis board friends :wave2:

I am still a little nervous about getting everything done! :scared1:

Today, DS obsessively watched the cruise planning video, except for when he was watching video on YouTube of the Pirate Night party or Sail Away party :lmao:

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

The shoes are awesome... Got to love Zappos :) I have 7 pairs of shows laid out to pack, which is cut back from 1 and I guess I need to think about cutting back again but I LOVE shoes so this is the hard part of packing for me.

You will get it all done.. you are on a mission as we all are :)

Kelly:

You have 7 pairs of shows laid out, i know of the main 3 Disney Dreams, Golden Mickeys, and the Cinderella Show what are the other 4 shows? :confused3

If you were talking about seven pairs of shoes for the cruise, I don't know if I have 7 pairs of shoes that I have ever owned at the same time.

If you still need to reduce take one of each of the seven pairs and you already reduced the number by at least three!

Is everyone seeing a message about banners that are done with ************** having invalid ID numbers. I upgraded some software yesterday and last night I noticed some peoples banners are missing. Just a coincidence?

UPDATED: I have found a family! Happy Cruising everyone :sail:

Hi cruisers :wave2:

We are sailing the week before you and we will have a once-used over the door organizer and sand/water toys (and perhaps some other stuff?) that we won't be taking home with us so.....

I am looking for a family with a small child (or children) that would use both these items.

First one to PM me with your family name and cabin number can have it. I will leave it with guest services and ask them to leave it in your cabin.

If you can, pass it on to another family when you're done :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Happy cruising!!

Luckily we had no snow where I live. By the PA/NY line they had 9 inches and State College (think Penn State) had 4.5. We (Hershey area) just had alot of rain....got all of my digital scrapbook pages done though and sent off! Just in time to load the hundreds of pics from the cruise, work on them all winter and watch when the snow does actually fall outside.....til we leave for Hawaii the end of Jan.!!! (Husband has a conference there, went by himself last time and knew he wasn't going by himself again!).

Happy cruising!!

Sent you a pm. hopefully I was first.

What a busy weekend. We had plans to do some packing, but no, got none of it done. I really do not want to wait for the last minute. I need to start pulling stuff out. But other then packing, I think I am ready. YIPEE!!! 9 days of work, 6 nights of gymnastics/cheerleading practice, 2 soccer games, and 1 homecoming parade (which DD is suppose to be in for cheerleading but is in for band instead). I think with our schedule, all we have is Saturday and Sunday left to pack. :scared1:

Steve - Don't mess with my shoes ever LOL..... I LOVE shoes and have way more than one person needs but that doesn't stop me from buying more. It's just my thing and John doesn't even ask anymore :)

Yup, everyones banners are down, their site says they are doing a server upgrade.

Cass - as always you are being so kind to pass these along. I am following your trip report, and as always it is wonderful.

Loved the pictures of your daughter on the plane.. Oh and her pirate costume is to die for. Have a wonderful cruise yourself and leave some of the Magic on the Magic for us..

Yeah ... I am having that issue, too. In fact, I remade my ticker last night because I thought I had the code wrong for some reason. Oh well .... I can tell you that I leave in
