Just a suggestion. Or possibly we can have a log of the chats archived to the cruise website for those that coould not make it but still would like to keep in the loop.

Steve

Here is the logging of chat issue... Since we are using a free chat script/server we dont get all the bells and whistles. What I have detemined is that the logging kicks in when an Admin is signed on, meaning when either Shell or I enter the room, it starts and when we leave it ends. In order to get chat logs that means one of us has to be there before anyone else and has to stay on until the last person leaves. I personally can't make that commitment to guarantee to always be there that way. I already know of a few chats I won't be on at all, including possibly tonites.

For Shell to log a chat would be great but then she has to create the word document, email it to me, I have to receive it, convert it, and upload to the site. I don't see a way to do this in a timely manner which makes sense as I can't always promise I will have time to do the updating each and every week.

As much as you want it logged, I don't really have the time commitment to do it right now. Besides, everything we talk about seems to end up here the next day anyway.

I hope you understand, I just can't commit to one more thing.

As for tonites chat, I will do my best to be there but not 100% sure I will make it yet.

I appreciate your thoughts and did not realize the amount of work and commitment that it would take. All that both of you have done is amazing. We were first timers on our Disney cruise in 2007 and what we have learned and look forward from the chat is making this crusie something to look forward to. Thanks to both you and Shell!:banana::banana:

Calling all NJers (or anyone willing to drive close to NJ)
We discussed last night on the chat having a pre-cruise meet. Since the summer is almost upon us, now is a good time to start planning this.

PM me if you are interested in participating. Once I get enough responses we can start the planning.

Sorry I missed the chat last night. Julia had her 1st cheer banquet. It was so much fun. What did I miss?
We now have 3 families joining us on the cruise. I am giving them all the info I have on our dismeets and such. Hopefully, they will log on and join our group.
I started brainstorming my FE's. Silly question, (this is my first time doing this) are they per cabin or per person?
Do we write who they are from?
Talk to you soon

So I got a call the other day from AAA (I hope it is legit) and they said that if I transferred my res to them I would get the standard AAA $150 OBC plus since may is Disney month I would get an additional $50.
So now I go to their web site and see our specific cruise listed as a 'feature cruise' and it says nothing about the extra $50 OBC, but instead says in addition to the $150 OBC you would get pre-paid gratuities. For a 7 night cruise, 4 people, isn't that like $300 worth of tips????
Has anyone else heard of this?
I am seriously considering doing it. 300 + 150 = 400. No brainer right?

Jeff -

This is the deal we got for this cruise. I had called my AAA TA and asked her to keep an eye out for deals and specials and she told me about this. AAA has purchased a block of rooms and are selling them with the pre-paid gratuities. I would call AAA first because since it is a block of rooms they purchased, I do not think you can transfer you current ressie and you may have a better deal transferring your current ressie and getting the $200 OBC. When I compared prices...at the time, this was the best deal for us vs booking directly with DCL.

Hey everyone!!!

Less than 160 days now. :)

Question of the week ....

What's the first thing you're going to do when you get on the ship???

Remember - chat tomorrow night!!

Look for my room!!!

You're obviously getting there later than me!! LOL!! We can't get into our rooms until after 1:30, but I will be on that ship just as soon as they let me on there!!!

Look for all of you of course. :rotfl2:
drop the kids off at the kids club. :cheer2:
probably eat lunch :drinking1
then head to the pool :beach:

I didn't think the kids could go in that early .....

Lunch .... Yep. That's what I'm aiming for. Where are you guys going to eat? We ate at PC last time. Not sure if we will go there again (probably) or hit Topsiders.

I'm thinking we'll probably get some lunch & check out the Oceaneer Club & Lab! Then poolside w/a nice beverage!:mickeyjum

We will be heading up to Topsiders..

I would put you first but we will meet everyone in the lobby before we board :thumbsup2

We bought material for both the FE this weekend and Kailynn and I finalized two of the FE gifts which I now need to get busy on

Definitely lunch and a cold drink. Probably Topsiders because I want to be outside especially if it is a beautiful day! I'm sure my kids will want to swim, but I also hope to see some of the ship. Can't wait!!!!!!

1) If I have any reservation stuff to deal with that I could not do online, i will take care of that first.

2) get a bite to eat. Probably topsiders if it is not too busy.

3) Check out the room, hopefully ready by then. Kids do not know that we got a verandah, so I will have to make sure that I am positioned for a good picture when we get to the room.
