Sorry I haven't posted much lately - I am very excited about this trip but since the kids do not know about it I have to sneak away into the office to lurk on the boards.

We put a deposit down on a new puppy, but now need to work out the details of how to get her. She is 11 hours away in Indiana. I was hoping we could ship her on a direct flight into Newark, but the breeder is not fond of doing that. So we may be roadtripping Memorial Day weekend to at least Ohio (a little more than 8 hrs - hoping they'll meet us 2 hours from them)

I do try to read the board at least everyday, but posting gets tricky with little eyes watching everything I do. If only I could stay up later than them I would be OK to write at night. Need to learn to like coffee.

A boxer. We have named her Gracie. I am still trying to figure out how to get her pic on here!

Here in the west it's great! Mid 70's! It's a blessing and a curse because now that it's spring, all the wild grass and weeds are popping up all over the property. Spent most of yesterday mowing the wild stuff. But, we are getting our garden planted and looking forward to fresh veggies.

Sounds wonderful! We've got flowers and grass, too, but I'm afraid that the dogwood blossoms and azaleas are going to get frost bitten tomorrow night. They're even calling for snow flurries tomorrow night .... On APRIL 6th ... IN GEORGIA! What's up with that?!

The yard guy is coming tomorrow to mow my weeds ... I mean, my grass.

Yippee on the puppy!! That will be a lot of fun for all of you.

Is it possible to do the Turtle Farm on your own, or should you book the Disney tour? Has anyone ever been there? How long does it take to get there? By taxi? How long should you plan on spending there?

Awesome!!!! I love boxer puppies. They are so freakin' clumsy when they are little and have such sweet personalities. I know you will enjoy her. Congrats on the new family member.

LOL!!!! It's a standing joke around our house at the moment. Jonah cracks up whenever he talks about it. We use that term all the time, and he was amused at your response to it. He said he almost used it a few minutes before Alexa did, but didn't know if he should in that setting. LOL!!!!!


Great! I hope he joins in. Jonah doesn't much care about ages (because he's around all ages all the time), so I know he'd love for your ds to be there ..... and any other young ones.

Shell and I were talking last night that the chat last night was fast and as more kids join in, it will be hard to keep up. I think we are going to set up a seperate chat for "younger kids". It will be much easier. Especially for me since I would be typing for my son. lol

Jeff - I will talk to Shell about making kids chat at 7:00 or 7:30. It's hard to find the right balance of time with school, time zones, activities, etc.

Let me ask this, would Sunday's at 7 be better for everyone?

Yeah, I think the younger kids should have an earlier time. That might work better for them.

Yeah, it would be tough trying to type and keep up for a younger one with all the chatter that went on last night (not to mention the computer issues some of us had). I think a separate chat - at an earlier time - would be better.

How about a 7 PM Sunday night chat for YOUNGER kids and keep the older kids on Mondays??? Would that work for everyone?
