Itinerary/ Dinner Themes and Suggested Dress Codes

Cruise Casual — no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
Formal — Formal wear for men: tuxedo or suit; for women: gown or dress
Semi-formal — Semi-formal wear for men: suit/jacket; for women: dress or pantsuit.
Pirate attire —essentially anything from a bandana with cruise casual outfit to full blown pirate costume

Palo
At dinner, a dress shirt or jacket is required for men and a dress or pantsuit is required for women. No jeans allowed. At brunch and high tea, attire is cruise casual, meaning no shorts, jeans, swimwear or tank tops.

The only restaurant that you have to make reservations for is Palo. When you book your cruise, you normally have the chance to choose between Main Seating and Second Seating. However, as Main Seating is more popular, once this is gone, it will automatically assign Second Seating. We personally prefer Second Seating, but we are a childless couple. There tend to be less kids and because it is the last seating of the day, it is a bit more relaxed.

They have introduced Dine and Play to the Second Seating a little over a year ago to make this more attractive to families with kids. Essentially the kids are getting fed first and then about 45 minutes into dinner, youth activities staff come to the entrance of the restaurant, collect the kids and take them to the kids clubs.

When we were on the Wonder in January, Main Seating was at 5:45 and Second Seating was at 8:15. To get this changed in two ways. Depending on how you have booked your cruise, you can contact either Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent and ask them to waitlist you for Main Seating. People are constantly cancelling up to 75 days prior to cruising so you may have a good chance that a waitlist would come through for you.

If you have not managed to get Main Seating prior to getting on the ship, for the first few hours they have people at one of the clubs (usually Wavebands) to make arrangements for dinner changes. I would head there as soon as you get on the ship to try and sort this out.

Apart from the actual seatings, there are three rotations for each seating. You find out what rotation you are on when you check in. They determine in what order you eat at the different restaurants.

The rotations are PTAPTAP, APTAPTA or TAPTAPT. The letters stand for Parrot Cay, Triton's and Animator's Palate. PTAPTAP is the nicest rotation on that cruise as this means you have dinner at Triton's for formal night, at Parrot Cay for Pirate Night and at Animator's Palate for Semi-formal night.

Welcome to our new thread. Don't be a stranger between now and October.

As to t shirts, I use Vistaprint. If you right-click on the logo, you can save it to your computer. You then just upload it to their site, edit it if you wish and then order it. There is usually coupon codes available and the t shirts are good quality.

I ordered some stuff for the first batch of Fish Extender gifts yesterday. I can't wait for them to arrive so that I can get going. All my gifts will be handmade and there will be two gifts for the girls and women, so far one gift for the boys and men plus two cabin gifts. With having so few people cruise, I can give more per person.

No, we have done a cruise to Hawaii and I was not thrilled that there was no Kona which is my favorite. Instead we booked B2B repo from LA to Vancouver (which includes Victoria, BC - a place i have always wanted to visit) and then thier Alaska cruise that ends up in Seattle. We only have to fly home from Seattle so we are thrilled. Since I am TA - got to get up at 4:45 our time to book

We are now booked for Hawaii. This has always been on our bucket list, but it is such a long flight from the UK. So this will give us a good taste and if we like it, we can always bite the bullet and book a vacation at Aulani.
