Thought I would start an "official" thread so we can discuss the meet.

October 29th

Plan: (subject to change) go to grand opening of MOA new Disney Store
then lunch at MOA


lets discuss what we wanna do and where to meet etc.....

Update:

The second floor Disneystore is closed and the new one has the walls down.

We are excited. Anyone else want to join the group meeting on Oct 29? That is grand opening day...

I was just thinking today this is a quiet thread. We will be going to MOA next Saturday to check out the soft opening, but thanks for the picture update, so exciting!

I plan on going down on Wed after work to get a look. And to ask questions about any details for the grand opening. That way maybe if we get some details we can get some more excitement going.

I am still hoping for Mouse Ear hats with the Disneystore logo on them...

I'll try to come! I was at the Disney store a few weeks ago and had no idea it was closing that fast! The new space is going to be so much smaller. , but I can't wait to experience the technology within the store!

Great! I saw your ticker, we were on PCC 2.0, it was awesome! You will not regret it, they did so many special things for our group. Fell free to ask me any questions!

Almost forgot about this!!! Anybody still interested???? Any suggestions for where/when/ to meet?????? I forgot to get details last time I was there. I did over hear them say Minnie and Mickey will be there to meet people and first 250 in line recieve something..... anybody get any concrete details? If not I will call this week and find out.....

I plan on getting in line early with my kids...they heard "free stuff" and were all about being within the first 250, lol. I told my DD5 that Minnie and Mickey might be there and she pretended to faint.

I got an emal early this morning with some of the details of the Grand Opening. The Opening Ceremony is at 10am and the Meet and Greet with Mickey and Minnie is from 12-4 in the Rotunda.

I wont be at the opening ceremony as my daughter is in a Halloween parade with her girl scout troop but I should be to the mall by noon. Any plans on a meet yet?

havent heard from anyone on a concrete plan... any suggestions? how about meeting at a landmark near the rotunda so after mickey and minnie greet we could at least chat? maybe in front of the starbucks there??? any other suggestions welcome!

In front of the starbucks in the rotunda is good. What time? I am actually looking forward to meeting some like minded Disney fans that are local!

according to the wording on the disneystore facebook page, it sounds like the free gifts were only for the october 12th date... it says opening 10am, mickey and minnie 12 noon at rotunda.... that stinks if it is true... i got a promo card from my disney visa saying if i visit store i get a free pin, thats cool.....

i am going to guess that line for mickey and minnie will start early i will try to get in line around 11 or so if possible, and when out of the line i will head over to starbucks and see if any other disers want to chat, nothing too formal. I just dont know how the line will be, i have been to the mall the weekend before halloween before adn it was packed, so this probably wont be any different. so i am guessing the time will be whenever we can get through the mickey line like around 12-1????? any other suggestions?????

My wife and I are in line. They have given us a reusable tote and she won a keychain by answering trivia! Anyone else in line with us?
