SueEllen I'd like to take one of those spots if possible now that I'm getting more organized. Cassie has her last competition of the year this weekend in La Jolla and then I will be all about this vacation. I missed out on Palo Brunch Ressies but I did get a dinner for Thursday night, is that pirate night ?, I hope not.
What time is the Bushwackers and Bling excursion ? :rotfl:
I made ressies for the Dubloon sail and snorkel so we might be a little late to the top of the tram, if we miss you I hope you all have a great time.

I love the shirts but I think DD and I are going to make our own as a craft project. Home depot mickey heads will make a great reverse stencil !

Now if we can just get that upgrade !!!

Luckey-LV

The Dabloon Sail and Snorkel will probably not leave you enough time to meet us for Bushwackers but we will have some for you!

Pirate night is Tuesday! No worries there!

Can't wait to see your shirts!

Space in your cabin: If you are not staying in a suite, which most of us are not. Make a little more space for yourselves. Especially bathroom counter/shelf space. Bring 2 over the door shoe holders like you find at Target. Use one for shoes and misc. stuff. Use the other for bathroom stuff, sun screen, brushes, curling irons, etc. It will just keep stuff organized and out of the way.

Hey Tarzanman: Welcome back!! Whereyabeen? Glad to see you are in full swing cruise mode!! Love the tips!

Did not know you use a curling iron! :rotfl2: From the pictures I've seen though, it works great! :rotfl2: Whodathunkit?

Wow- one busy weekend and I am 4 pages behind again.

Trishy: You have been one busy lady. :earseek: I vote for option 1 - its easier. I'll volunteer for group leader also. I have an Oriental Trading Co crafts magazine that has several types of paddles. Without looking right now, I remember a blackboard type where we could write whatever we want. Might be easier to pack than posterboard and paint stir sticks??

SueEllen: I thought I was on for high tea - it is too late to join in? :confused3

Totally forgot to get online for ressies! DUH! Did not even talk to DH about it this weekend. Gotta get to planning this today. Want to send him on the regatta sail - anyone done this? He was on the crew team in college and thought he might enjoy. Was thinking of the dubloon sail also but Tarzanman says I'll miss out on bushwackers. So not worth it I am thinking!!

Ah- if buying clothes isn't enough to drive me crazy (yes RJ I am on to my 3rd pair of black satin shoes!! :rotfl: ) Now its ressies.....

Which night to do Palo...... :groom:

OK- gotta check in with the contractors adding my patio cover - I hear cursing out there! :listen:

Just a tip : Check out the power squid from bed bath and beyond instead of the power strip, it looks like it will be much easier to pack it could probably go into one of the 13 pairs of shoes your bringing . :rotfl:

Tinkryansmom: I have been on this cruise with three women in one cat 10 before. I know about these things with the curling iron.
I am not saying that you will miss the Bushwackers. I am saying that you would probably miss them with the group because we would be shopping by that time. Probably. I might still be there drinking. :)

POWERSQUID is a great idea! Luckily I am not flying into port so I can bring as much crap as I want and take it home. Behold the power of driving a land yacht to the port. As long as Ronnie doesn't bring more stuff this year, I should be just fine. :goodvibes

Hey everyone, lots of chatting today.

Good thing cause I am soooo pumped about getting the Parasailing....wahooo.
And got to book my incoming flight earlier so another full day and Disney....yipeeeeee. Just booked the car service....man I am a rockin today.

How many of you use credit cards on the Islands??? Not sure how much money I want to carry around but I need to be able to buy bling bling if something catches my eye......if..... :rotfl:

Also, that surial or rasual or whatever that bath, mud thingy for 2 is called. Do they have more then 1 room. I have it booked but when I go back in to see what else is avail my date and time are still showing as avail :confused3 I am assuming they have more then 1 .

Oh 1 more question, I just booked my car service and forgot to ask them, then they come to pick you up at your resort do they come to the front place where you check in????

OK, I have to do a bit of work...lol

Kim

:Pinkbounc Hey Tarzanman :Pinkbounc

Be fair now........

I have packed less and less each year, so don't give me a hard time! Besides there are 4 of us!! It's not all me! :earboy2:

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

Ronnie,
You know that I am joking with ya! :love2:
----------------------------------------------------------
Definitely credit cards for the bling.
----------------------------------------------------------
I don't know if there are two mud bath rooms or not. I would say no having been there quite a few times but maybe they changed some things.

just booked my palo ressies :cool1: :dancer: for oct,31 for 8:30 is anyone else going that day and will we have time to make after the early show..

also booked the eco tour on cc is anyone else doing this...

Hey T&P

We booked the Tram through Disney. Also parasailing.

We figured we would tour the islands on our own and after parasailing just lounge on the beach at Castaway Cay....Is it October yet! :bitelip:

Kim

We just walk to the Tram and buy tickets there. No big deal.

Will have no problems making it to dinner for the 8:30 time that you have set up. The early show should be over by 8 or so.

I vote for 10:00 am. And either DW or I will be glad to be a group leader.

I was only able to get Palo for Dinner no brunch times were listed. Thanks Sue Ellen for getting us Tee time ... I mean Tea Time.

I got DD and DS registered for Kids clubs.

I hope I'm not leaving anything out. 6 more days til we eat free at Disney :cool1: To bad we have to pay for the :drinking1

Just missed you T&P - we have Palo at 6:30 that night. We have nothing planned for CC. We're hoping to finally get to see what Serenity Bay looks like this cruise. We try every time, but the little ones hate the Scuttle's Cove area. The teens will go on the Wild Side excursion, but I still have the other 2 to deal with. In 2003 we did the Seahorse Snorkel on CC and that was such a great experience. Tons of gorgeous fish and coral. Really pretty. Kids were disappointed because they didn't get to see a seahorse.:rotfl:"Seahorse" was the name of the boat!!!:teeth:

Thanks to the group leaders - I'll add you all onto the first page. I'll also add the Palo High Tea list (with the additions mentioned after SueEllen's post). Looks like 10 am is favored. I'll take the "Tentative" off the schedule. Thanks!

Regarding the Regatta - we've heard nothing but great things about this excursion from other passengers and friends who have done it. We're considering it on St. Maarten. In St. Thomas we're renting a cuddy cabin and doing our own snorkeling around St. John.

DisneyAg - You'll probably be able to reserve when you get onboard. Also, people may cancel out prior to the cruise - I'd check again when it gets closer. They probably hold some times aside for people onboard - I'd go straightaway as soon as you get on the ship. Brunch is awesome!

OK< I am on the EAST coast and couldnt make ressies until today, so I got up at 6am and STILL Only got Hubby a seat at PALOS then I went to do mine and NOTHING :( So hubby will be going alone ..LOL....I then made RESSIES for the TRAMWAY in st thomas and The DUCK BOAT in st Maarten..We are NOT planning anything else! We are planning on NO KIDS for those 2 excursions, BUT kids at castaway cay hanging out on the beach*

They do look a lot more practical than a regular power strip. They list all 3 colors as out of stock though :(

We were just going to just walk up, but by reserving it through DCL it saved us $3. That just might mean an extra Bushwacker :drinking1 :cool1:

i have a question about palo. is the $10 charge per person all you have to pay for the meal or is there also a charges for what you order. any help would be great

Sean,
The $10 charge, according to DCL, is for gratuity. The food is "free" (paid for as part of your cruise fare). We always leave a bit more for the server, though. It's all dependent on what you feel comfortable doing.

When I went back through this thread, I read a post where I presumed you are a DVC member. Is that true? If so, you should know that onboard there will be a DVC party for members. I really can't remember the day (it'll be a sea day) or time it was on the Eastern, but maybe recent cruisers can help out on that. It's just something you should know about for helping make your ressies. :) You don't want to miss it and you just may win a prize. At the very least, you'll get some freebies (hats, lanyards, etc.), free drinks, and yummy snacks. Best of all, you'll get to meet other cruising DVC members.
