 The list Trishy posted is the info I gave her for trick or treating.

We are many more than that...thats only counting kids! If you count us all, it's a grand total so far of......................

very close to 90 (of course that count includes all adults and kids as well)

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

The list covers everybody here on the thread who confirmed their info - I still have yet to hear from a few that I sent email/pm to. The number next to their user name shows how many ToT'rs there are. If the number is "0", then they do not have children participating in the ToT'g. I still have some work to do on it. I'll clean it up as we go on. I just wanted to get it out there so people can order the supplies they need for the group.

If RonnieJo would like, I could add another column for RSVP's to her Swwwwwuite party - but I think she's keeping a tab. Just happy to be a part of this and will help in whatever way I can.:)

Just noticed your siggy - we'll be at SSR the week prior to the cruise - arriving on the 23rd. Our kids will probably meet in the pool. :chat: My littlest one is 9.

Hey everyone.

Thank you all again for your kind words and support. :grouphug:
T&P so glad to hear your father is cancer free, it is a hard battle and I am happy to hear he is doing well. :grouphug:

Well I have a spare bedroom full of all the stuff I have bought for this trip. I even had to buy a new suitcase and garmet bag. I think the stuff for the cruise has cost as much as the cruise.... Oh well ...... :confused3

OK, I did it, I bought the bathing suite.... I love it, just had to have it when I saw it....now I just have to fit into it :scared1: So I think we are finally ready....or at least DH says we are finished.. :love2:

Not too much planned this weekend, sticking close to home incase we get any info on my friend Nancy.

Tarzanman: Glad to hear from ya. Well I have all my suitcases out and stuff thrown in them but not officially packed...does that count ::yes::

Trish and RonnieJo: Thank you for keeping track of everyone....wow what a party we will have....Beano how much room is under that Piano.

OK tell me if this is crazy :rolleyes1 But I am already looking to plan cruise number 2.......Actually I know which iternary I want just going to wait to see if any of us get sea sick.

Well I am sure you are tired of reading all my babble by now.

Have a great night.

Kim

hi all, was wondering if everyone would be mad at us if we skipped the meet at the sailaway as you all know we are first time cruisers and we really want to be right there for the sailaway party, i dont know if you can see it from where the meet is going to be.. please do not be mad.. i am so :confused3 dont know what to do. we really wanna get all we can and we really wanna meet all of you and become friends.. please help me

The sailaway party is on deck 9...our meet is planned for deck 10 . You can see the whole thing, but I can understand if you want to be down in the crowd. :)

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

The party lasts for about an hour so you can always come up to meet us and go down to party and then come back. Or vice versa. We will be multiple trips to the bar during it so we will be up and down as well.

Good point, Tim. It's not as if we stand in one place the whole time! And we go to the bar because: (Important tip for first timers, if it hasn't been said already) :

Do NOT buy the drinks from the guys carrying them around on trays! :sad2:

It might seem convenient, but they are watered down, melted yuckiness (yes, I said yuckiness) that you don't want. Go to the bar and get a much fresher, stronger drink for the same $$. Trust us on this one. We know from where we, um, drink. :drinking:

'Beano'

The time is coming near to make ressies for Flounders. Are children welcome to the Dis Meet in your room on 10/31 or is it adults only? Thanks.

:bounce: just to bump us up on the page

thanks ronniejo for helping me, well probably make it to the meet on deck 10

Nicsmom....

I would have to say that children are welcome, but remember there will be alcohol present and don't know if they should come (imho) That will have to be the parents call...

I cannot vouch for the antics that will be going on :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hugs,

Finally home from vacation. My laptop did a HUGE crash while I was gone, so no more laptop for a while. I'll have to be on the lookout for an affordable one because I need to get a new one.
Anyway---

We always do the sailaway on deck 9 with the characters--so after they wander away we can head up to deck 10 ;) Can't break tradition you know.

Not sure which cabin we will end up being in once on the ship (I'm waiting for TA rates, so it will be where they assign me) Right now we are on deck 6, cat 6.

I'll likely bring the kids by the Beano suite for the party for a bit, and judge where they need to be as the party progresses. pirate:

Still haven't figured out what we are going to do for excursions, but I did find out that the Stingray area at Castaway Cay will be opening in September. It will be between the bar and the teen beach and the stingrays will be "groomed" so that they don't hurt you. Disney will also be donating a portion of the cost of the excursion to the Wildlife Conservation fund they have, and you will get one of the buttons for it.

Well, off to catch up on some more work before going nuts. I fly out to WDW for my seminar/meeting EARLY on Tuesday morning.

Um, what exactly does "groomed" mean. Are they hurt in anyway? I hope not.

We can understand. We like to partake in the sailaway also. We figured what we'd do is case out our usual table straight after the drill (it's usually a bit slow getting started as people drift over to the goofy pool area) and hang out there until we saw some familiar Dis shirt patterns:) up on Deck 10. Then we'll meet the group and get back down to party. It'll be really crowded and really loud around that area at that time so at least if we see everybody, say our hi's, at least then throughout the cruise we'll be able to recognize and chat with everyone in a more relaxed and quiet atmosphere.

The kids like to get on the dance floor and see the characters, too. The main thing is the kids' counselors (all ages - from the club to the teens) come out and party/dance with the kids - it's a great way for the kids to get to know the club staff and vise-versa.

I did throw out the idea of having a second meet for Sunday - but thusfar have not heard from any interested families. It sounds like the first meet may be the only meet - with the exception of meeting for Trick or Treating. Share your thoughts.:goodvibes

Hmmmmmm, grooming stingrays - what an interesting job.

What am I supposed to try and make reservations for tomorrow? I am so lost here. I am trying for Palo (see Beano..I got it right this time) and parasailing for my son. What about Castaway Cay cabana massages, Palo Brunch, and WHAT ELSE AM I MISSING???? I feel like I am missing something? Am I?

:confused3 Oh boy. I am feeing the angst starting to creep in with this cruise. I'm trying to figure out clothing for three people, me, my DH and my 11 year old DS. What does everyone wear for formal and semi formal nights..men, woman and children? My DH and DS will be wearing dark suits for formal night and I will wear a dress, but what about semiformal night? I don't like this. All this planning is killing me. I'm not a planner. I don't like to plan. Planning makes me nuts :confused3

Did I already put in what cabin we are in. If not, we are in 6134 and it is me, my DH and my 11 year old dear son who probably will be trick or treating but who knows. He's going through puberty right now and driving me up a wall. Trick or treating may just be for "babies" by the time halloween rolls around. :rolleyes2 Who says boys are easier! NOT!

Bobby...

Dis Party in our room is Monday, October 31st @ 1pm....room 8030 Walt Suite

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

ps...Barb, if you need any help planning, feel free to pm me...we love to plan

Okay, I'll put it out there for all to see. These are the options that have been talked about - you guys decide, take a vote, whatever works to make it fair.

First, we have 43 kids already. There will probably be more added as the date gets nearer and lurkers come out to play. This is a lot of kids for one deck. I'm taking from "Ginger"s multiple Halloween experiences to propose splitting the kids into groups - about 12 each - so 4 groups. We can have adult chaperones and/or older sibling chaperones. The groups can be split by age, but that would separate some siblings. Otherwise, we could separate in a way to keep families together. Here's the options:

Option 1 - Room to room ToT'g
Each group starts on a different deck and work their way down - when they get to Deck 2, they go up to Deck 8 and work their way down from there. This way there would be one group at a time on the decks. (this is the option most used by Dis'rs and is the easiest)

Option 2 - Scavenger Hunt ToT'g
Each group starts at a different stateroom marked by a magnet. Each group/magnet has a matching color to ensure each room gets ToT'ed. This is complicated, but not impossible.

If we don't want to separate groups and just have a free for all, well, that's an option, but it will make it hard on the younger children. I just think there should be some organization so the kids don't get frustrated or hurt. With any of the options, there will be a map made of the ToT'g cabins to make them easier to find.

I just thought since MoranClan had offered to do the door magnets for the scavenger hunt, I'd run it by her if she thought doing different color groups would be possible. Any thoughts on this? Thanks you guys!!
