I have been driving around with my passport in the car...It expires on Sept 30th ( can you believe my luck) and all I need is the picture taken..I have been to Walmart a gazillion times, but never looked good enough for a passport photo..I need to get it done this week!!

:confused3 You don't have to have a passport do you?

I was planning on doing the birth certificate and drivers license.
Should I rethink this approach ?

It is cost prohibitive for us so I'd rather put the money else where unless it is a neccesity.

Luckey...

I believe that travel after 12-31-05 will require a passport. You might wanna double check me though...I think you should be okay for this cruise though.

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

Our kids have to eat with us with the exception of the night(s) we have dinner at Palo. Then they have the choice of going to the dining room (which they usually do) or eating at one of the other places.

Glad to hear someone is keeping a master list - we are Trish (30ish) Larry 42, Kaila (16), Courtney(12) Alexis(9) and Kaila's friend Heather (16) who is joining us on our 3 week WDW/DCL vacation. We have 2 cabins 7034 and 7035. I thought I posted that info back on page 3 or something, but I didn't put names.

Oh, and passports are not required until after 12/31/05, but it never hurts to be prepared. They really do make travel a lot easier, too. We had to find out for our daughter's travel companion and DCL told us a birth cert is fine for this cruise.

I finally made it to the PO to get mine and Trevor's passports today. We'll get the others later (and yes, they are not required until January 1st, but we will be cruising again next year so might as well do it now instead of lugging around a birth certificate which I HATE doing--I worry about losing it and someone using it for identity theft!)

So, the guy at the PO said about 4-5 weeks for the passports to come in (let's hope)

We all have passports, but DS's was done five years ago and has since expired. I didn't know that children's passports expired every five years. So I think I may have his redone, although I need to find out the cost, etc.

TSTBob..I'm so sad to hear your news. I was really looking forward to meeting you and your family. Hopefully things will work out and you can jump back on the cruise with uis. :(

:wave2: Hey all!

Just checking in today.

RJ: All in for the T or T'ing - we are in cabin 7619.

Kathy: :wizard: Pixie dust to you for a speedy recovery. I will also hope for those Florida rates so you can rebook and join us later. :earsboy:

Zachsmom: please send me the updated shirt designs at pcjohnna@yahoo we will order 3 - just wanting to see the difference between the color and B&W designs. :p

Also, for any future astronauts I was at the space coast website today and noticed a military satellite is set to launch from CC on 10/28. Time to be announced. So if you will be in the neighborhood - should be cool to watch.

Thinking of staying in Cocoa the day after the cruise and catching the Kennedy Space Complex. I am guessing the 3 hours we have to kill before needing to be at the airport is not enough time...Anybody been? Any recommendations?

As always thanks!!

Johnna

I told both Timmy and Cassie yesterday about this trip. Both are excited  - although I think T is more excited about going to Kennedy. The "last security sattelite" is being launched on the 28th so he is stoked. We're also, hopefully, having lunch with an astronaut. :bitelip:

While watching Disney Channel today, up popped mini-infomercial on the Magic. There was a big party on board for the Make a Wish foundation the day we got off of the Mexico cruise. I didn't care about seeing the "who's" that were there, but the kids and I did a little squealing as the camera traveled around our ship. ( soon, Cheri, soon)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey! How did your post get before mine? Guess I'll never understand 'puters ...

I'd love to take T to see the launch, but I hate huge crowds so I think we will be able to see it if we drive just out of Orlando. What do you think?

Also, I think I remember someone talking about a DIS-meet somewhere at Epcot. What day was it? Or did I just invite my family to a private function :confused3 . (Got to plan that astronaut stuff, trips down the Poly slide AND the food and wine festival- plans, plans, plans :bitelip: SOOOO much better than working)

I am interested in seeing that military satellite launch as we will be in Cocoa Beach on the 28th. :Pinkbounc any info that you could pass along on that subject would be great! :teeth: This will be our very first cruise so we are all very excited! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Thanx...Evie<>< Evield44@optonline.net :bounce:

We'll be cruising with our good friends Bo'sMom and family. Bo'sMom already signed us up for the tea at Palo (not Palos :rotfl2: ). My kids would love to trick or treat. Our stateroom is 7508. Can't wait to meet all of you.

Thanks, RonnieJo. Sounds like a fun group.

Welcome Evie, Sheri, and Rachel. This promises to be a very exciting cruise.

I'm trying to get my kids to post on the teen thread for the cruise, but they're being stubborn about it. :confused3 I'll keep pushing though.

that sounds good to me ronniejo :cool1:

i probably need a cocktail by then from being up so early that day we have to leave for the airport at 3am to catch a 6am flight, we get in around 10:45am, so we should make it by the time we check in at the boardwalk, and staying there saves time also because we do not have to wait for the bus we can just walk in from there hang and right down two countries and we are there, anyone else wanna join for a cold :drinking1
