For those of you renting a car where do you drop it off in Port Canaveral and what company are you using?

We used Budget last time we rented. You can drop off the family at the port, head over to Budget, drop off the car, then take the shuttle back to the ship. That way you are the only one on the shuttle and it's not full of your luggage.

Thanks, RonnieJo. It's now the calm before the storm where everything is set to go (except packing, of course), docs are ready, and all of that. The weird thing this time is gonna be getting in our car and driving to the port instead of flying clear across the country to get to it...will kinda miss that limo ride!!

Chris

Budget seems to have the best prices around and if you fly into Sanford it's about the only way to get to Port. We plan to drop it off the night before and use the RRP shuttle to get to the ship in the morning. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

This group has been a wealth of information :teacher: and there are so many people to thank and so many thirsts to be quenched. :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

RonnieJo & Beano,

What's the concierge service like? We were going to book one of the Royal Suites but there were too many in our group :sad1: so we booked one of the 2-bedroom suites (8516) and the family suite right next to it (8518). I haven't heard a whole lot about the suite service and was hoping that you guys could give me some tips

Sarah

 Sarah:

Concierge is the only way to go!!! :cool1:

What can we answer for you? We'll do our best with any specific questions you may have. We have had nothing less than any and everything we have asked for (and believe me we really tested them) :rotfl2:

Sarah,
I'll second that. It's a carefree cruise when you can just pick up the phone, ask for whatever you want, and get it. We cruised with RonnieJo and Beano last October, and between our two suites, I'd say we required a dedicated staff of people to handle our needs!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Beano/RonnieJo/Tarzanman: my favorite was the "we need 6 bottles of Cakebread and 6 bottles of champagne, chilled, in buckets, in the Roy by the time we return from dinner" request. I remember the request well, though what happened after they delivered all of that remains a blur....

Chris

Chris - My favorite was the request for "some snacks" for the DIS party!

Some snacks?? :rotfl: We could have fed 40 people! And this year, we just might have to!

The cakebread and champagne was a good one too, but I am not much of a cakebread fan... how about a nice zinfandel this year? LOL

Have a great cruise next week, Chris, and say hi to 8102 for me! :earsboy:

'Beano'

Hey Beano,

Welcome back to you and your family...Hope you had a awesome time.

Where is everyone else????

Hope you are all having a great day!!!!

OH BTW...my DS started a thread for teens going on the cruise if anyones kids are interested in chatting....he is bass_89 he is 16 and DD will be checking in also and she is 13.

Kim

Thanks, Kim. We did have an awesome time! :earsboy: :earsgirl:

DS is 15, DD 13, so we will definitely steer them towards your teen thread.

3 1/2 more months baby!

'Beano'

So....guess who is going to Disney's Hurricane party tomorrow??????

THAT'S RIGHT!!!! ME!!!!!

*sob*

I heard that suite guests get a personal orientation to the ship...does that include the safety drill? Also, do you have to run around like mad making reservations, or can you just sit back and have them do it for you?

I'm so excited...I can't wait for October to get here :bounce:

DS (4) talks about the cruise everyday. It will be his first Disney experience...it sounds like they have a lot of fun activities for his age group ::MickeyMo
