Well I think we are going to be able to do Halloween afterall this year. We did the Halloween cruise in 2002, then did 2 weeks prior (the cruisetoberfest!) in 2003, but we are planning for Halloween 2005!!

I'm so looking forward to planning another cruise for myself (and not clients!)
:wave2:

6 months to go.

RonnieJo: Here's your Mickey Bar :mickeybar

Happy Friday everyone!! :goodvibes

I hope everyone has planned at least one fun thing to do this weekend.

My Mom, who works at a CPA firm, is celebrating today!! She will be up to visit her DGD Sunday. DH and I are off to Passport Weekend and although that sounds Disney-ish it is a wine tasting thing in El Dorado County.

Anyone else have grand plans? Looks like the weekend weather sound cooperate here on the west coast - FINALLY!! :Pinkbounc

No big plans for us this weekend, since I am on call at work, but we did make it downtown to the car show earlier today. And, I just put 4 filets into the marinade, and I'll slap 'em on the Q in a few hours ! :earboy2:

Next weekend, we're off to Pismo Beach in the new camper! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Me thinks the nice weather is FINALLY here... to stay?? I hope so!!

'Beano'

No big plans here either. Spent today at the rink like usual and then did some BBQ chicken for dinner. Hope someone had a more exciting weekend than me.
By the way welcome aboard to all our new cruise buddies !

Just Checking in. Beautiful day here in Vegas ! 88 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. To bad it's my Monday.

Sooooo...I am really hoping that there are no 70ft waves in October!! It reached Deck 10!!!

 Betsy!

Thought you got tired of us crazy folks and left! Haven't heard from you in a while. Love the new puppy

Hope everyone had a good weekend...

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar

oh..I am around..we have all had the "creepy-crud" that has been going around..we have all had it twice...yuck!! If I cough anymore, I think I will lose a lung

Welcome to the new posters. :wave2:

We have been so crazy busy here that I have not even been online for over a week!! DD first dance competion, my Dad and Stepmoms wedding renewal after 25 years and oh yea work  Things not really slowing down but keeping busy does seem to make the time go faster :Pinkbounc is it time to go yet?? :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Happy Birthday to all those recent BDays. DH and I are OH SO familiar with that 40 number and will be moving farther into the 40's in the next couple months. My 2 DDs know that it is always 40 and FABULOUS! That works for 41 and FABULOUS, 42 and FABULOUS etc etc etc. :cheer2: YOu get the picture ;) Not gonna let a little thing like age stop us from celebrating life :dancer:

Hope everyone has a good week :goodvibes

Hello everyone! I think my friend and I watched the disney cruise line video 5 times this weekend! And we went through my past cruise pics which just makes us more excited! October 29th can't get here soon enough!

Hey, hey everyone! Holy cow what a boring weekend. :guilty:

How were them steaks Beano, Ronnie Jo? I thought about them last night. 'Course our Q has been broken for ... a while now, but I bbq'd filet would have hit the spot. We had to lounge in the jacuzzi instead :rotfl2:

Just heard about the big waves on that cruise! I was so queasy on the last one. Holy cow! I would have rented a bicycle to get home :rotfl: guess I've seen Titanic too many times. 7 story waves? Since last year was such a crudy hurricane year, this year will be nice and calm, RIGHT???? :earseek: (can I get an "amen"?)

"AMEN" Cheri ! We like the Vegas odds on this one though ! Two bad seasons back to back and at the end of October I think the odds and hopefully the Gods are in our favor !
I did have to laugh at the lady that was on CNN last night she was freaking out. When you take a cruise out in the ocean there is a possiblity that a freak thing like that could happen, just like we could get a hurricane during ours, but ain't no way that's going to keep me off that ship :rotfl: .
Beano would be happy to know that they had open bar for the remainder of the cruise though. That and a 50% refund and that cruise could have been free hey Beano. :rotfl2:

Have I earned the reputation of the group drunk here?? :drinking1 :worried:

Let me put it this way: I would gladly take a big 'ol wave upside the head for free beer! :rotfl2: Hell, I'd be hopin' it smacked us on the way out of port so the drinks were free all week!!

And a 50% refund of the cost of THIS cruise? I could buy another car... ;)

Cheri - The steaks were mui bodacious!! Nice thick filets in Beano's own marinade, which starts with...
wait for it...

Beer!!! :D

You say you were queasy on the last cruise?? I never knew that's what is was. Here I thought you were just a raging alcoholic. :rotfl:

'Beano'

Beano-
Being at the back of the boat - even in a cat 3 was a little bumpy. I sucked down an entire box of Dramamine :sad2: . BUT, this year, we're mid-ship in my favorite cabin so things should go smoother. (Note that I'm not commenting on the drankard part. A lady never tells :rolleyes1 - and if you tell :earseek: . Ronnie Jo, I just hope we don't pull beside another cruise ship this time. No more "special" hello's from me  ) I'll just have to start with the Bonine and Bahama Mama's a day or two before we board :rotfl2:

Send me your marinade recipe - a can of Bud, a can of Sam Adams, a can of microbrew and a tablespoon of teriyaki for color, right? :cool1: .

Hey, how do we find our if our buddy Thierry will be working? ( :wave2: my name is thierry and we'll be docking soon. May I screw up anything for you?" :sad2: )

luckey- be nice and send some of that nice weather our way :sunny: I'm a- lookin' at ugly gray skies. Ick! Spring in San Diego should be sunny and 78, not sucky 60.

Anyone know any good jokes? That should liven this place up. (But no blonde jokes - I'm sEnsaTivE :rotfl: )

Cheri - As far as the beer, it really doesn't matter what kind. Whether it's Guiness or Keystone Light, no matter - it only acts as a good tenderizer really; doesn't do much for flavor. Poke a few holes in the steaks with a fork first, baste them lightly with olive oil, then put them in a shallow pan or a big ziplock bag along with 2 cups of beer, and refrigerate them for 2 hours, flipping them over after the first hour. Then, drain the beer and roll them generously in the following mixture:

4 Tablespoons of brown sugar
2 teaspoons of seasoned salt
2 teaspoons of black pepper

Let 'em sit that way (refriigerated) for another 2 hours at least, them grill 'em up and OOOhhh Mama! :D

'Dats good eatin' right there!

And the only consolation to Thierry still being the concierge is so that I can mess with his head, poor devil. But, to his credit, he did arrange for a truly devine buffet, and he also noticed my wife's shoes. Hmmmm, wonder what his sexual orientation was?

Ok, jokes, but no blonde jokes, eh? Here we go:

What's the difference between a girlfriend and wife?

45 lbs.

What's the difference between a boyfriend and husband?

45 minutes.

'Beano'

Beano you crack me up :rotfl2:
All that personality and a good cook too... Ronnie your one lucky lady !
Cheri the winds are really blowing here but I think in the wrong direction to get you any of this good weather. We may dip down into the 70's tomorrow.
If anyone hears that the MNSSHP tickets went on sale please let me know.
I got the Hyatt Regency Orange County for $43.00 a night :cool1: when Cassie skates in the ISI world championships @ Disney Ice this July !!! I just love that bidding for travel website ! The regular room goes for $109. on the Hyatt website. Now I have to try Cocoa Beach for the cruise and see if I can make out as good as this deal :cool1:

Hello everyone, back from the hospital....seems that shots of tequila and vodka don't agree with my diabetes. I was in the hospital for 4 days but am back to normal....whatever that means. So i pretty much missed a week on the boards and of course when i get back my boss hadn't done much so my office is plastered with papers. I think i need a new job! Hope everyone is doing well.

Holla....p-dawg

:Pinkbounc Luckey: YES! I have been blessed to find my Beano! :Pinkbounc

:earseek: P-Dawg dude: when are you gonna learn man you can't be doing that stuff :earseek: ...glad to see you are feeling better now (lets try to keep it that way ;) )

As far as MNSSHP tickets I believe that you can purchase them up to a year in advance.....Beano is always the one to do these tasks, but we've always gotten ours way ahead of time. Luckey, they should be available for ya' now :cool1:

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar
