:hourglass Now?.....now?...um, ok....now? :rotfl2:

Hugs,

:wave2: Hey all

I'm still out here!

Trishy: Thanks for the image! Now I really want to go!

Cheri: Zacksmom is handling the t-shirts. If you go the the ultimate info post Trishy put on page one of this thread you can see the designs. :earsboy:

Formal Dress: Still looking. DD is pink. Husband is wearing a dark suit so I am thinking somewhere along the burgandy line?? Who knows. Like someone else said, it will be just what I fall in love with when shopping. Or maybe just what fits at the end when I haven't fallen in love with anything else!!

Scrapbooks: Yep, I scrapped last night too. 2005 book is up to July. DD baby album, lets see...we are home from the hospital. BTW she just started kindergarten!! So Cheri, can I come scrap when the grandkids are over!?

Going golfing. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

THANKS FOR THE PIXS, TRISHY! I keep looking at our verandah from our Mexico trip. If I had been in San Pedro, I might have jumped over the railing and tried to stow away somehow. I KNOW some of you understand the feeling - "that's MY boat!" :earboy2:

Went to Tom Petty last night. 20 of us in a party van. :cool1: I gotta get out more! It was a blast. I didn't even realize how many of his songs I knew. Fun, fun, fun!!! (Now if someone could explain why margaritas need to cost $15 :confused3)

Uh, Cheri - that's MY verandah! ;)

But I am glad they are taking my ship back to Florida, and also putting her in dry dock before I sail on her again. So nice of them to clean it all up just for me! :sunny:

'Beano'

$15 Margaritas!!!! Don't let DCL know - it'll give them ideas...

Tom Petty - that would've been fun. Glad you had a great time.

Beano, thanks for making DCL put the Magic in drydock and fix it up for you - we'll get to benefit from it, too. Thank you, thank you...:worship:

when they finish drydock, where is the outdoor movie thingy going to be? Over the Goofy Pool? Do you think it will be only once or a few times during the week?

And, can someone remind me what a NuttyBuddy is?

Cheri - A Nutty Buddy is: Equal parts of Kahlua, Frangelico, Creme de Menthe.

I'm not sure if that's the recipe Disney uses, but we ordered a couple of them at Head's Up last year, and there were no complaints. :drinking1

You just go right on and enjoy those foofy, sail-away-umbrella-toting-fancy named-super-sweet-purty-lookin' drinks...

and git me a beer, huh? ;)

'Beano'

How Much of a FUSS should I continue to make? 830 at NIGHT..The Kids are 4 and 6 LOL. they'll be in bed by then or STARVING!!. I email my TA daily and what else should I be doing to try to get the 6pm seating..or is it a LOST CAUSE? :earseek:

I don't think your TA can do anything. Maybe the Head Dude can help if you go to the restaurant first thing after boarding. I'd talk to Jeff. He's been our head WAITER (that's what it is, not Head Dude  ) for 3 cruises. Maybe he can do something.

The kids may be so pooped from all of the activities that they'll nap mid-day and be ok for a later dinner. Maybe?

Good luck.

lol...not only do my kids NEVER NAP>>BUt we werent planning on seeing them ALL week ? isnt the club open 9am -midnight...LOL

Actually, Rachel, that's not a bad idea (leaving them in the club). The kid's club will take the kids to dinner - they go to the buffet at Topsiders every night about 5:30-6:00. Another alternative is to let them snack at about 4 pm at Plutos (hot dogs, chicken fingers, hamburgers) or Pinocchio's (pizza) and that way they're not starvin' marvin' at 8:30. We have late seating also - been waitlisted since December and don't think there's any chance of that coming through. Since I'm in your shoes kinda, I would book on up to the dining area immediately when it opens (they'll give you a navigator at check-in which will give all the times/places for making ressies, changes, etc.) I'm not going to change ours because there are families like yours that it's more important for. My youngest is 9 (a month shy of 10 cruise time) and if she complains, I'll send her butt over to the poolside eateries. Unfortunately, you can't really do that with the younger ones.;)

trishy- LOVE the attitude! thank goodness for topsiders and Plutos. Don't like it myself, but the kids could find both of them blind folded. Luckily for us on the Left Coast, 8:30pm is really 5:30pm. Heck we eat late anyway.

All this talk of "formals" is making my head spin - not too hard to do admittedly. We only have one restaurant where you have to where a jacket and tie. And, after 12 years, I've never been there :rotfl2: . We're pretty casual down is San Diego. Fish tacos, flip flop kinda people.

I love late dining, and would never go back to early again. The ONLY time that I really *needed* the early dining was when my son was 1 and again at 2. When he was 1 we had late dining and it was a nightmare. At 2 we had early dining and it was better. This year he will have just turned 4 (his birthday is in 3 weeks) and we are all for late dining.
Food is readily available and there is so much to do that the kids stay excited.

Rachel...

We usually have the late seating. We go to the early show and then to dinner. If you have early dinner then most folks go to the late showing.

Hope you're able to get the pic to work... :confused3

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

we are only two and hoping maybe we can sit with soome dis'ers at dinner anyone game or know how we can make that happen

:wave2: Hi Rachel:

Weighing in on the late seating issue - I am with RonnieJo on this one. We are first time cruisers with DD6. We have late seating and I think it will be a good thing.

We plan on feeding DD before the show - around 6 pm - either at the buffet or room service. Then she will be awake for the show, which we figure she really wants to see. Then its off to the club/lab. From what I understand they will keep the kids until 1 am, with movies, character visits ect. Mom and Dad can eat in peace. If she needs us (or the staff needs us!! :rotfl: ) they can page us.

The only night we will want to try the dinner together thing is formal night since we will all be dressed up and I want a picture!! And pirate night - she is really looking forward to that. I have already made it plenty clear that if she wants to enjoy these things best behavior is a must. Stateroom time is the punishment and since we are cruising category 11 (come on upgrade!!) there isn't even a window to distract her.

All we can do is see how it goes... :earseek: Shes pretty excited so maybe we will survive the first 3 days before we see any major explosions!
