Hey, Everyone!

For those of you that have replied back about wanting t-shirts, we are making progress! I just received a first run on the t-shirt design. My friend is going to be making a few changes and will get it back to me for another look. I'm still haven't nailed down a place to get them printed yet, I think that I want to have the design first and then I will be able to get a firm price. I thought that I would just find a company that could get the lime green shirts and that way folks that didn't have them wouldn't have to scramble to find them.

If anyone else has a better suggestion, by all means please let me know! I don't know how to get an attachment on here, but when I get a final design, I will be glad to forward it to anyone that is interested...just PM me with an e-amil address that you would like me to use! Also, please let me know how many shirts, and in what sizes you will be needing. That will also help us to get the best price on printing!

Hello to all. I am quite the novice at this.......My family, Husband Ralph, 2 kids, Andrew(11) and Gabe (3) will be first time cruisers on the Magic Oct 29th cruise. We are all VERY excited. Any info that you could pass on to us would be most appreciated. Thanx...Evie

Yay..an 11 year old boy. My son will be very excited. He just turned 11 (today) and is a first time cruiser as well. We are also extremely excited about the trip. I have printed out some of the navigators from Dave's DCL Tribute site and he has been going over them to see what might be of interest to him. If you son is interested in emailing with him prior to the cruise so that they can get to know each other, just let me know.

I feel so cheesy! We will all have some sort of lime green shirt on for embarkation. Steve & Trevor have Polo shirts (cool stripes on them) and Tara and I have t-shirts. Mine is a bit too big, but it was the only one I could find in the right color green.

I can't believe we are just 3 months away!!

I'm stuck at home today because DS has a bad cough, fever & pink eye (again). I thought people were only supposed to get sick during the winter Hopefully I can use the day to start making my cruise shopping list. DH will be so happy that I have extra time to do that

this is all so new to me. Getting to know people before the cruise. It seems that you have done alot of Disney vacationing. We have been to DW and this is our first cruise. very excited about it. How will the weather be in Oct? Have a nice one and hope to chat with you soon! Evie<><

DH and I are seriously considering cancelling the Disney cruise and doing a Carnival Glory Cruise. Now this only came up this morning when DH got a price that was about $1000 cheaper on Carnival with a Outside room and it would include tips. Disney we have a inside cabin and the price does not include tips???

My heart is still with Disney but my chequebook says I am nuts not to change.

It would be the same dates, and the only change in the Islands is going to Bahamas instead of Castaway Cay.

Please tell me Disney is the best way still and is worth the extra money. In case you don't remember my kids ages are 16 and 13.

I have been on 10 cruises Without my wife and children before I was married...and 3 With My wife and kids...

From my experience, Disney is the best...I have been on Carnival, RC, and Norweigan....I know Disney is more money, and soetimes it kills me...But, you do get what you pay for...

Last year, our cruise was stuck out to sea for an extra 3 nights due to hurricane frances, and They Never ever ran out of food...We even made an extra stop in Galveston texas for Food and fuel...We found out that Celeberity and carnival actually rationed food for the extra days at sea..

After that..I probably will Never use another cruise line...Except for Princess, as I want to do Alaska some day..

Your childrens ages, Hmm..thats a tricky one...16 and 13 seem to be the ages where the kids get bored...I say go with your Gut..

I'm with Bobby on this one!!! Disney is more $, but SO worth it. Disneys' stateroom are up to 25% bigger than other cruise ships. (my FIL just went on his honeymoon cruise...booked one of the larger rooms...he was really disappointed not only in room but he said the food was terrible) I could NEVER say the food was bad on the Disney ships. IMHO...I personally wouldn't change, but you do whats right for you (and your checkbook )

Keep in mind too that Disney has the largest staterooms. That comes in very handy with 4 people and one room. As for the teens .... there were 4 girls that hooked up on our Mexico trip thanks to the DIS boards - but, boys ... that's gonna be a tough one for any ship.

Whew.... that was close. DH was almost convinced to go with Glory.

I love disney but that was almost too much of a savings to pass up but to me Disney is worth the money.

Even though I don't have any kids, I have brought my teenage cousins (2 girls, ages 16 and 14) on with me. I suggest pushing them into the teen activities even if they don't seem like they would be fun to start with. That way they will meet some people. Unfortunately, that age on any cruise is going to be tough to crack. Not just on a Disney Cruise. Good luck with that part. I hope that we see you on the Magic with us but if you don't you better give a us a good trip report about Carnival!

Kim, glad to see you've decided to stay with Disney! Obviously I don't need to lobby for the cause anymore, but if it'll serve as a reinforcement for your decision..

I have been on a couple of other cruise lines, and the real truth is, Disney has somehow figured out how to do it best, all the way around. They make Customs a breeze. I have waited HOURS on other cruise ships for the dreaded Customs clearance. It is a royal pain, and DCL makes it seem like nothing.

And yes, the rooms are bigger. Yes, the food is better. AND...

It's the only cruise line in the world with 'The Mouse'! Disney characters everywhere!

If you aren't all that crazy about Disney, go on Carnival. Or Princess. Or RCCL.

But if you love the mouse, like we all do, you won't regret going on a Disney cruise. No way.

Thanks everyone.

It was close for awhile but I knew in my heart that I really wanted the Disney cruise. I just didn't get a warm feeling from the other cruise lines. Even though my kids are older I know we still enjoy going to WDW so this cruise should be no different.

A few of my friends think I am nuts for paying so much more to do to Disney but then again I know I will get top notch service and it is Disney how can we not have a good time.

Well 3 months today we are getting on the plane to be at WDW for a few days before we cruise.....can't wait.

im feeling a little unsure about meeting everyone, due to the fact when i post no one seems to answer us, so i am not sure if all of you want us involved in your group, if not we will understand. we are reserved for the high tea and not sure about going now, because we are new to cruising, i feeling like we would be intruding on all the expierenced cruisers. i really want to meet all of you and make new friends. i guess i just do not know what to do anymore, well i hope to here some response if not we will understand and will no longer bother your group...
