That's my baby boy! And Cassie looked so pretty with a wreath of roses in her hair. (Timmy spent an hour on the dance floor at the reception - but you didn't hear it from me
)

Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
serves 6
1/4 lb smoked bacon, finely chopped
1 med red onion, finely chopped
1/2 c. finely sliced celery
1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
3 c. whole milk
2 c. chicken stock
12 oz. grated white cheddar (Canadian Black Diamond)
3 dashes Tabasco
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
1/2 c. Moosehead Canadian Ale, room temperature
salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
1 tbsp. thinly sliced chives
1. Cook the bacon in a large heavy bottom, non-reactive soup pot over medium heat until wilted but not browned.
2. Add onion, celery & carrots & cook until onions are translucent and bacon has crisped.
3. Sprinkle in flour and stir constantly for 2 minutes. Stir in milk & stock, a little at a time, blending well to ensure that there are no lumps. Bring the liquid to a boil, cover & simmer over low heat for 15 min.
4. Remove from heat and whisk in cheese, Tabasco, Worcestershire & Ale. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
5. Sprinkle with chives and serve.

My cat just fell in our pool!!!! I heard a loud splash and there she was....poor baby, she is alright...just in need of a towel dry.
I'm still trying to figure out how she got out by herself...?Good thing I guess.

Tomorrow we're helping some friends move. Other than that, I'm not sure.RonnieJo66 said:Whatcha all doing for the weekend?
