You're not cooking a turkey tomorrow? There will only be 5 of us....so, you is not alone. ( Iam makin' a smaller turkey this year, think it's 15lbs.)

Yeah...still having turkey...cheating part is I bought a Butterball 10 pound, fully cooked, smoked turkey....not cooking it myself, just have to carve it and re-heat it - thus the cheating. Will cook the green bean casserole, brocc./rice cass., and mashed potatoes and gravy (without cheating). Also having cranberry sauce, roles, and pecan pie. So....still a fairly nice dinner, just will miss the other family peeps.



Did I mention....I LOVE ALL YOU GUYS!!!!

We have begun our cooking...Mom made cornbread today for the dressing and the cranberry conserve that was my grandmothers receipe. I am making the brine for the turkey...gonna try this for the first time...Alton Brown said it is the way to go...gonna try
We are having sweet potato casarole, greenbean casarole, baked pineapple, and pumpkin pie and chocolate peanut butter pie ...I am making myself hungry!

In other news, I got my staples out today...yippee!! I can go back to work Monday, but I have to drive the Pilot...can't drive my 5 speed for another week

well...since I had a week off BEFORE the cruise...a week off FOR the cruise, then 2 weeks off for surgery..I am lucky I have a JOB to go back to!!

Then again...I could sit home and collect unemployment and go back to school....Hmmm...Note to self...check into getting fired!!

Hey, Betsy, glad things are getting back to normal (not normal to have staples in your bod!!!). You know, I've been trying to get fired for years, 'cuz my employment agreement has a two-year severance package in it!!

So, if you come up with any sure-fire ways to get fired, PM me!!

p.s. I can't do anything illegal, outrageous, or flagrant!!! It has to be more subtle than that!

us too...i brined all night and waiting for the turkey to finish and then bake the pineapple thingy...then the green beans and dressing...i am curled on the couch with Rick cause it is cold here in Florida today!!! yeah!! nice for thanksgiving!

I think we should do a thanksgiving cruise!!! that would be fun!!

Hi Bets.....my turkey is done. But lo and behold our business phone rang and Beano has to work.....UGH! I cannot remember a Thanksgiving when this hasn't happened! Guess I get to hold dinner off for a bit!

bummer...he's gotta work and well...someone isn't going to be home for Thanksgiving...what a bummer all around!

I think we are the only ones around today...

I am sad too..Nick and Jessica aren't going to make it....I was really hoping they would...stupid, I know, but I always root for the underdogs! I would like to see at least ONE young hollywood couple make it!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING PEEPS!!!!!


Happy turkey day one and all!!!!!

I no longer feel guilty about cheating on the turkey....OMG that was SOOOO much easier today!!!!.....just had to put the whole thing in oven for 1 1/2 hours....meal was so nice....think I'll have it twice... GUESS WHAT'S FOR DINNER?????




My poor Cowboys ....we SOOOO should have won that game!!!! It was an exciting first 1/2 though!!!
