but...riddle me this...some people said that using the points for a cruise was not a good point to dollar ratio, that by the time you use up points (some people said it took 2 years worth for one cruisiepoo)...you could have paid for it yourself for cheaper......IS this true??? Because ifin you could use points to cruise every year, then I think it WOULD be worth having...of course being able to go to a WDW property every year is also fun too!!!

Never read her threads. Besides... 400 is nothing. I took more than that. :D

Never used points for a cruise and I don't advise it. You can rent out your points for cash and then pay cash for your cruise. It's a better use of your points. It would cost 200 points to rent to get $2200. That would get you a CAT 10 in October for 2 adults and one child. It would cost you close to 350 points just for two adults if you wanted to use them to cruise directly.

Oh Tzman, by the way..

HI!

Thanks. :flower:

Where ya been? :confused3

And what do you know about the new 2006 Ford Fusion? And when can you have one shipped out here?

When are we going on Beanos boat again!?

It is one of the best cars that Ford has made in years. I love it! They are being shipped everywhere as fast as they can make them. They are staying on the lot 1 day here in Florida. I can get you an employee purchase pin for one if you want to buy one. You might have more luck finding its sister car the Mercury Milan. A little more luxury but a little more money.

That's kinda what I thought...I think for this last trip we spent around $880ish a piece for me and Tim, SL was less as the 3rd person in room....and given your ratio of 350 x 10 buckaroos....=3500 just for 2, not including SL...so sounds like we would be better off not using points for cruise. Thanks for your info/input.

OK- copout. :)

Do tell your side. :Pinkbounc What made you decide to buy? :confused3

Bought because I love Disney a lot. Top notch service. Perks of the membership and the trade value of Disney. Can almost trade out anytime of year with no problems. Marriott has a waiting list for people trying to get accomodations at DVC. Makes it easy to stay at Marriotts best which are all over the world. Haven't traded yet but I know that I will in the long run.

OH HO REEEELLLY...Whatsa employee pin?

Won't vent here - just frustrated with the continuing repair bills on the beloved F150 SOUP-ER Crew.

Saw the fusion online and at the dealer today.....yep truck in shop again. Shop #1 yesterday $550, Ford today - cruise control recall - Next week - its the tranny shop again - new tranny starting to slip in OD again....

Wait...that sounded like venting....sorry.

OWWW Cat just climbed up my back. Little BASS-tard.

Built my fusion online...gonna run me about $23K - now if I could just convince the hubbage to spring for it. And the Aug cruise, Dec cruise and again in 2008. I would be GOLD-EN.

OH by the way, bought the winner mega millions lottery ticket today!! :Pinkbounc

So how many points did you buy and at what price if I may be so bold? and which resort? What is your, what do they calll it...renewal month? That just means the calendar month when you get more points, Yes? And not a deadline for travel.....

Can you tell I already have the DVD? :)

Tim do you think the resale is a good place to buy vs. DVC direct?
