I'm tellin ya Chris...you guys are just setting yourselves up for disappointment when you finally DO meet me. I am much more fascinating from a distance. Very easy to try and be witty when there is no one else around and I have all the time in the world to post....you're gonna be sad....just warning ya now....total wallflower......personality of a newt toad.......nothing going for me.....

Maybe you are normally. But yer gonna be hangin' with some people that have a major tendency to rub off on the ones around them, for good or bad!!

so sorry....he shouldn't do that....we don't play that game around here. I think I am probably over sensitve to it because of the way my dad is, but there is equal power to everything in this house....thermastats, remotes....everthin....

Rachel - we have been on 6 cruises, all in October, and every one was fabulous. March is fine too, but don't write this one off before you've taken it!

I agree...que sera, sera...don't have a lot of power of it, and we should all think positive and make the most of whatever the situation is. Just think even if it DOES end up raining or sumpin at some point...we know someone with a REALLY BIG ROOM and we can all sit out the storm there....remember Sound of Music...storm brewing, all the kids end up in Maria's room, sitting around singing????????? WE ARE THOSE CHILDREN PEEPS!!!!!!!

Chris- I step aside, give you all the leeway in the world, and you STILL can't grab post #7500?? There is only so much a Beano can do.

Cheri - side effects from beta blockers...

Well, the so-called "tranquilizing" effect was tolerable enough - my Dr. tells me that some public speakers take beta blockers right before a speech to calm them down. Improper mixing with alcohol can be bad (as if there's such a thing as proper alcohol and drug mix?)

But the biggie, pun intended... weight gain!!

I went from modestly overweight to the Pillsbury Doughboy in 5 months on that stuff. Me no take it no more. Me still beeg and fat, though. The memories linger on!!

Thanks, Tenor. But don't worry too much. It's not life threatening or even fundamentally life altering, from what I've been told so far. It's a very mild case as of this point, and I feel absolutely fine. There was never any discomfort, pain, or any other significant symptom. In my case, when it happens, it just feels like there's a little bit of extra nervous adrenaline (like in High School when you're asking that cute guy/girl out), and my heart beats somewhat faster (it doesn't "race" like in some more severe cases). It wasn't one of those "Chris clutches his chest and crumbles to the ground" types of things.
