Hey Duffers!!!!!

We flew in last year while Ivan was still in the area and there was damage from previous hurricanes and the ride in was quite bumpy but no problems.

I am a weather geek so have been following this one for the last few days, it is still hard to tell where it is going. It has finally started to move after being almost stationary all day yesterday.

Few more days and we will know more. A good website to follow is flhurricane.com. server seems to be down right at the moment but is usually good for info.

Yeah we did. My DW was really sad when I told her that there was a post about our docs not shipping till Mon or Tues so not getting them till the end of the week. She'll be happy when she gets home...maybe I should go get a bottle of some bubbly

I'm an eternal optomist Wilma will land this weekend as a catagory 2, there will be some minimal damage and the following weeks weather will be beautiful. Sorry if your in the line of fire Betsy, but I'm sure you're used to it.

At least I will be able to use the new accordian shutters we purchased for the second floor...no climbing a ladder for me!!

Plus..our house is 2 years old...it was built with CBS construction and all the updated hurricane codes..I feel for the people who have wood frame houses!! YIKES!

Concrete, Block and Steel...some loonies try to save money and have their 2nd floor constructed with plywood/chipboard...saves money but after Andrew, they had 1 story homes!
My house is concrete block from the ground up...They are building a neighborhood across the lake from us and I can't believe someone would spend $500+ on a home and not get the block upstairs...scary!!

I hope you are right Sharon.....I am the ultimatley worrier.....

Betsy, I am fasinated by weather.....not sure why....we don't get alot of exciting weather where I live in Canada so I have to live vicariously throught others.....I just hope damage to property is mininal...you all have been through enough already, when we flew into Orlando last Sept there were more blue tarped roofs then shingles.
