I can't believe it crashed again!!!??!
I must have made it in just in time.

I got both that I wanted, including LTT for breakfast @ 8:30. I was amazed when the CM said, "OK, next" like it was no big deal that it worked.

Good luck to all. :thumbsup2

for those of you who have had success at booking today, what option were you choosing after hearing the pixie dust? Were you going the orlando area/within 7 days route or what? I am on hold again! This will be the last time for now! I just want Le Cellier - the rest are not too critical. :)

Finally got put on hold instead of busy signal. Got about half of my ADR's and then it crashed again. I guess half is better than none.

may i ask when you are going?? they said CRT was full for my whole week which is 3 weeks before easter.

thx

I'm 3/18-3/27. Last thing CM told me at 1135 CST was that it had not been loaded yet. I'm calling back in a few minutes and will re-post the answer.

Aarrgghhh! :headache:  Got through again and AGAIN was told to call back later! 4 different calls, 4 different CMs and Not one would even TRY to do any ADRs for me! I am starting to become VERY frustrated!

Got through around 11am. Was up for 6am online crash! An hour of busy signals..then took kiddos to school. Tried for 30 minutes after running some errands, was put on hold for 25 minutes. Got all my ressies including Le Cellier, brkfst LTT, and Cali Grill.:cool1: Pixie dust to all still trying:wizard::wizard:pixiedust:pixiedust:

ADR's are not mandatory for a Disney vacation.
Not 1 is needed to eat a meal there.
You choose to make them.
You choose to wait through the crowd on the phone and online.

Personally I find it nice to go without ADR's a few days and just see where I feel like eating that day....yes you can walk up and get seated.
We got Crystal palace on a 5 minutes wait one time.
You ask what other choices you have? that's you choice.
Wait, or go without. You still can have a magical vacation without them.
Go have fun enjoy your trip.

There is a difference between "eating a meal" and getting the disney vacation you want.

The Dining reservation system has been a mess for months. Hold times are frequently above 25 minutes, not just on days like today.

My 25th bday gift is a dinner at V&A so I think I just *might* need a reservation for that :teacher:

Nowhere did I say that ADRs are NECESSARY, but every guest visiting WDW should have the opportunity to book dining reservations and the experience should not take 6 hours with the system crashing, the online system unavilable, the "circuits busy" and the guests being disconnected 6 and 7 times in a row.

Someone didn't get their nighty night sleep...sorry grumpy!

In fact they are on the same system but one pulls from the other...the website (portal) pulls from the back-end systems which is what Disney uses to make our reservations over the phone...Many times, the website/portal might be down as is currently the case while the back-end functions continue to work. In this case, the ADR website is down but they are still continuing to make ressies over the phone going in through their back-end functions...YOU really should know what your talking about before you start attacking people...I think the Dis World will be a happy place tomorrow once everyone gets some sleep...

Also, the CM I used this morning to make my last 2 Ressies (I was able to book all of my other ones on Sunday..Thank God) confirmed that website was still down but since they were accessing a different part of the system they were still able to make them...only time they were having issues is when tech had to take down the entire system in an effort to get the website/portal issue rectified...:hippie:

Thank you!

The online system and the central reservation system are LINKED but they are not connected in such a way that when one is down, both are.

If that were the case, that one being down shuts the other down, why does www.waltdisneyworld.com direct you to call 407-WDW-DINE when the system is unavailable?

There are hundreds of posts of people complaining, but what good are the complaints on a MESSAGE BOARD? Disney wants our feedback to improve their service, they ask us to complete a survey after EVERY call. Personally I feel that people don't write to WDW with their problems often enough.

Wow. I truly feel bad for all of you who had to go thru this. I'm just glad the 1st day we could book was on the 25th. I think I would have lost my hair if I had to endure what some of you had to endure.....wait, I have no hair already.

Just got off with a great CM named Zondra. We got most of our reservations in the cart and . . . you guessed it, the system went down!!! She took my home number and said she was going to call the techs and see if they could retrieve our ressies and call me back.

One thing, there was no avaliability for Teppan Edo for lunch or dinner AT ALL for the week we are there and she said that probably meant that Teppan Edo wasn't loaded yet. So, we will try again later.

Ok for some reason on the US disney calender (official site) every month's park hours for MK is posted but February.

I see on the UK disney calender (official site for UK) that EMH's are on the 14 and 18. But for some reason the UK calender doesn't seem to tell me which EMH is AM and which is PM. Can anyone help me with this?

TIA

For those who were wondering, I was able to get an ADR at CRT for April 21st but the only time available all week was 8:05 pm. I am going to try to make it earlier when all the bugs are worked out of the ressie system but will go at 8 if we have to. We wanted dinner anyway and it might be cool to go at night!

I booked Teppan Edo for 3/31 an hour ago ***But my cast member (who was amazing btw) had to unclick that we were on the dining plan to get that reservation--she said since they havent finished negotiating to get Teppan Edo on the 2010 dining plan it wouldn't show up. Don't know if this is the same situation as yours, but maybe???:confused3

Did anyone ever find out about Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique... whether it is now 180 days too?

Well I finally got through and was only on hold for about 12 minutes. CRT was already booked but we got Chef Mickey's for my daughter birthday breakfast (that was our main goal for making ADR's) and then I added the Happily Ever After dinner buffet at 1900 Park Faire so the other princess in our party can meet Cinderella! So there was pixie dust for us after all. Good luck everyone!!!!

Same thing for us for February. Since they haven't officially renewed the contract for the DDP yet they can't book it with the DDP. I told her that it was fine if I had to go OOP so she fixed it and I got the ressie for the day & time that I wanted.

Good luck all! :goodvibes

Hi,

I am lucky as I just got thru for a second time on the phone to try and make my one remaining ADR - breakfast at CRT for 6 March 22-March 28... But according to the CM it was booked that day (BBB in the AM) and for all meals for our 7 day stay :sad2:

Not sure whether the system is really working yet - earlier I was told that "CRT is not loaded yet" or if it is indeed booked. But will be trying back later today....

bummed but ok as I know i was lucky to get thru at all....
Sydnerella's Mama

Call back. Maybe not today...;) But call them back.

That sounds a little strange.

I was told that by a CM when I was trying to book 7 for CRT last month and I was able to book it online booking a table for 4 and a table for 3. We may have to split up, but we got the early morning CRT ressie! :thumbsup2

So what's the consensus on CRT--is it sold out or just unavailable?
I couldn't get it this morning, but I'd really like to!

Absolute pain this, been on line trying to make reservations
Cannot afford to hold from the UK on the phone as it would be an international call aagh
this is not a good pre holiday experience. We were almost at our 90 days as well :( ;(
