**October 27 2009, 180 Day Reservation Thread**

I am so frustrated! I have been up half of the night - calling over and over since 5:55 (central time) and I can't get through! I want to hurt someone (from Disney) right now! It's going to be a very long day! Congrats to everyone that has made it through......
 
hahaha i am speaking with a great CM right now and while she was trying to make my ressies she started to laugh. I said ummmm what is so funny

she said that there are 300 people working right now and they are all logged into a chat room and 1 guy told another agent he REFUSED to get off the phone untill he got CRT (she said they have been having problems all morning making for CRT) so now they are just sitting in silence
 
Still on hold. I'm torn as to what I do if I don't get a CM at 9am. SInce I am a DVC member I can call member services too. three hours later and I feel like I have options.
 
If you're a DVC member, check your card and you'll find it. It's not something that can be posted on these forums.

I am a DVC member. Can I call a different number?
 

currently on hold. i was ready to give up but decided to try once more and heard that pixie dust.

when it got to the point to tell me how long the wait is, there was a some speaking in spanish. so lets see how long ill be on hold.....

110 Minutes of either "All circuts are busy now, please try your call later" or the actual Disney message (though, I did only call once every 10 minutes for about 45 or so).

Online system went down within a minute, so that isn't helping things either. They really should have adjusted resources for this day and it's pretty obvious they didn't. Their IT dept should hook up with Blizzard or Ticketmaster who see this stuff often. (Would also affect phone routing). I just hope that they at least did something with staffing, which seems likely due to the overestimation of wait-time people are getting. At least there could be a silver lining.

At least I can hope that not many people are going the first week of Feb... from posts on here (in this and other threads) it seemed to be a lighter week.

(Took me 10 minutes to write this, now I'm just getting busy signals...)

We're going the first week of Feburary, but we are only a party of two! I promise not to take all the reservations. ;)

I'm so tired from being up and frustrated, I can't even make a truly humorous response.
 
I got in! "Your estimated hold time is less than ................. *music* Yea, it wouldnt even give me a estimated time!! Then we jump right into "Your attention please!!!"

But, Im in.... for the THIRD time. If my phone loses signal again, I swear Im gonna......:rolleyes1
 
Always been a lurker on the boards and a listener of the podcast, but decided to get more involved. Today is both a good and bad day...first post on the boards, but today is exactly 90 days till we start our trip...Talk about bad luck...:mad:

YAY - that makes me feel better, I was a bit heartbroken for you!! Good luck with the reservations once you get a CM!! I am hoping I get through smoothly and get most of my ressies... they really should have a loop of more than 5 songs though! yikes!

i shouldn't complain, it's better than the "circuits are busy" song though...

Thanks Synderella. We're going Mar 8-17. My son turns 5 on the 9th and I really want to get Chef Mickey's for his birthday breakfast.
 
Made a rookie mistake, I didn't change my settings to this thread and jammed my email inbox with all of the auto replies!! D'oh! Anyway, anyone who is on hold think they will stop looping the same song? Usually they switch it up. Main Street USA is getting kind of old! This is the tenth time I've heard it.

It's ok, I'm only a party of 1 :p.

Saw someone else here going on my exact dates, which is just strange (4-11, Thu-Thu).

Only toughie I want is LeCel, but since I'm solo, I'm pretty flexible on actual times, so that should help a bit. I really don't care if I eat lunch at 2 or dinner at 8.

Best of luck to everyone else. I've hit the guy saying all circuits are busy now a couple times... stupid false hope since it rings once first. Alas, it's about time to head to work so will try there (and remind me to bring my cell charger, this spam dialing is taking its toll on the battery!)
 
I CANT GET THRU! I'm REALLY starting to get irritated. I was up at 2:55 for an hour, then at 5:55 for another wasted 1/2 hour. Then DH called from 6:59 - 7:45 to no avail. Now I' on the phones, as is my dad, from work (in case it's a verizon cell thing). No one is getting anywhere.

Bravo for you guys who made it through. For the rest of us, I guess we just have to keep at it.... We're going the the week after april and want Ohana's, Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, Cali Grill, NArcoosees.....

What a dumb rollout plan! Why didn't they do it in stages? Like 100 days, 120 days, 160 days, 180 days it would have helped the congestion a lot!

I REALLY thought Disney would have it's act together on this. I experienced the Cash for Clunkers massive web crashing problems. I thought no way disney would be that bad! I guess I was wrong.

i'm glad they can have some fun with this. as frustrared as we are imagine how they feel about being put in this situation...
 
DVC members can also book through member services. They don't open until 9am though.

Let's do the math - 12 weeks worth of reservations - ?50,000+ visitors If only 1% are calling that is still at least 6000 people trying to reach the same few agents! Hey I was just going to hang up and I got Pixie Dust!!!!! 25 minute wait. I'll take it!!!!!!
