I have to say am with "both" of you here i too would have told them to shove it where the sun dont shine as in my line of work i can't/won't suffer fools gladly...my take on it would be "you sort it love and i'll still go" ....

ps..."but i ain't paying anymore"....sorry if this don't sound too sympathetic but you know us blokes and are pride, hope it works out for you......:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Thats what makes this SOOO difficult. I AGREE with DH but I have been busting my **** losing 100 pounds and this was my REWARD!!! I have been planning for months and I just can't imagine having to cancel. My mind totally agrees with YOU AND DH, but my heart just says DO WHATEVER IT TAKES!!!

Pam

P.S. ok, where are all the emotional, understanding females when you need 'em:confused3 ,;)

Ok just re-book the bloody thing,us men ain't the brightest things god ever created you know and their are more ways to skin a cat, only the mention of "the SPARE ROOM" is looking like it needs a coat of paint or leaving a catalog open on the "APPLE CATCHES" pants page would be enough for me...their that's me showing me feminine side,or is that me you showing my selfish side?......:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Pam,

I am pretty new to the group, and I am so sorry to hear about this. I definitely hope everything somehow gets worked out, and you are able to go.

I can tell you if I had lost 100 pounds, I would definitely be taking the cruise if it was my reward that I had worked so hard for even if I had to go by myself. Heck, if I had lost 100 pounds, I would make DH take me on a trip around the world. That is just so incredible. I am trying hard to lose weight (even though I just started) for this cruise, and no one is taking it away from me.

I can't believe Disney VISA has had such poor service. They definitely need to make things right, and I hope everything works out. Good luck, and let us know how things are going.

Pam,
Christine and I will be hoping for all the best. I'll share the fortune from Christine's cookie yesterday: A long term goal will soon be achieved. You achieved your goal to lose weight already, now you'll achieve the goal of a cruise with Mickey.
Sean

i wish i could just loose 20 pounds, every day i say i am going to loose it and then by the end of the day i say i am going to do it tomorrow, what made you get started and keep doing it?
It is so hard for me at work i worj in a restaurant, bagel and coffee shop, cream cheese, cookies, YUM...and when i am hungry it is soo easy to reach for soemthing unhealthy. And as of latley i try to eatfruits and vegies but it doesnt fill me up.:confused3

We had a beautiful day here today, dont know what the temp was, but it like perfect.:goodvibes

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for Pam pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
I soooooo hope everything works out for you with all this mess. We have a Disney Visa & have never had a moments trouble, but you never know I guess. I have lost 50lbs in the past year & so I know how hard you must be working to loose/have lost that much weight. You deserve a reward & I hope you get it....plus we have already gotten to know you some & would be sad not to have you along.

For all of you that have been able to lose so much weight, I would like to know how you are doing it as well. The temptation is already killing me. Right now though, I am exercising and eating right, but that is what I always do...for a little while and than I completely lose willpower. Anybody have any great secrets to weight loss they would like to share? I would love all the help I can get.

Ok Pam, here's the plan. You give me your hubby's cell phone number and I'll act like I'm from Disney Visa and tell him that everything is taken care of and to enjoy his cruise!:lmao: Seriously, there's plenty of time for us to persuade him to join. I'll buy him a drink or two and if he doesn't drink, I'll chip in on the Rassoul for y'all. That may loosen him up a bit!

I need to go find my child. He's outside and it's starting to get dusky, mosquito time!pirate:

Thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust!!

VITAL, you never know I may have to take you up on that offer;)

As for the weight loss, I have lost 78lbs so far and it has NOT been easy. I gained over 100 pounds with my pregnancy, due to complete bed rest for 8 months and steroid shots daily ( long story, she is my miracle after 4 miscarriages in a row) anyway after gaining so much in such a short time and then going thru some bad post partum I ended up not only keeping the weight on, but since I then became a stay at home mom, depressed and unable to do the active things I enjoyed I just "accepted" myself and ended up weighing in, well lets just say at a size 24!!!! ( when I first became pregnant I was a size 7) Well....my lightbulb moment came at a woman's conference I went to. They had asked us to write down what we LOVED to do, not what our family loved or taking care of our children etc...but what I as an individual loved to do..........well I just couldn't think of anything except stuff that included my DD or DH. I began to CRY!! I realized I had FORGOTTEN ME??? ALL ABOUT ME??? AND WHAT I LOVED??? I then remembered things like racquet ball, water skiing, hiking, just general outdoors fun and since I had had my weight gain I no longer did ANY of these things. It was then that I decided to get down to business. I AM VERY FORTUNATE to work as a director for the YMCA so I was able to hire our very BEST personal trainer whom I work out with 3 days a week, I also try to do cardio EVERYDAY. I still have days that I screw up, and definitely have times when I don't want to do anything, but having my trainer to talk to and cheer me on is really what keeps me headed for my goal. I also use MyFoodDiary dot com, which is an amazing website for logging your food, exercise and telling you how healthy you are eating and what things you can improve on as well as giving you SMILEYS for doing a good job:woohoo: I HIGHLY recommend it and if you want more info you can PM me or just browse their website.

Well there you have it the whole sorted story:scared1:
I just know this has to work out !!! I will cruise in October, even if I have to hide in one of your suitcases:rolleyes1

Pam,

Thanks for sharing your weight loss tips. You have done an incredible job. Thanks for the website as well; I will check it out.

I noticed in your signature that you have stayed at all the Disney resorts. Wow! Which are your favorites?

Also, I noticed you mentioned the Florida Gators in your signature. Your team absolutely killed my poor little Razorbacks this weekend. However, I completely expected them to, so Congratulations!!!

Again, I hope everything works out with the cruise. You have definitely earned it!:cheer2:

Pam show him this post.....swallow the male pride (i do think he was right BTW)and re-book because your wife deserves this cruise and giving the finger to Disney is less important than not breaking your wife heart.....:)

Good grief is it warm here! It's 0530 and 64 degrees! I really worked up a sweat this morning!
Oh, whenever y'all post during the day, I read but don't post from work. Don't feel like you've been abandoned!

:beach: Can we go yet? Please!pirate:

Can y'all believe it's just about 6 months away?:cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: pirate: :hourglass

I just had a horrible thought! What will we all do when it's over? Will we need to go to a shrink? Will I finally decide to move to the islands and have everyone down for a visit? Hmmmmm........pirate:

Paula would you like some poor English visitors on said island?:rolleyes1

I have a feeling if I did ever move there I'd want visitors all the time! I've researched it and found out I don't want to send my child to public school there. I don't know how much nurses make there or how much private school costs, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to afford it. I'm seriously thinking of going when Ethan has graduated. I'll only be 46! I think that's a good age to become an islander, don't y'all!? pirate:

The best therapy is to book another cruise and make sure some of your DIS friends are on it. I did from the DDD Geeks cruise. I am even staying in the same room with one of my tablemates.:cool2:
