Rhiluvsd, on flying, how far are you from the boarder. I fly out of Buffalo, because I will be damned to be paying all those taxes to fly out of Canada.

Pj

A title, oh no that won't do ... I am only helping for group dinning (i.e. if you want to share the same rotation and sit in close location or at a table with/to other DISers), and will throw out any and all knowledge I have gleaned over my three cruises, DVC stays and WDW adventures, lol. Stop trying to get me in trouble, lol.
For dinning we are looking at the Early/Main Seating and on the rotation that will have us in AP and Lum for Semi/Formal, and PC for Pirate night, I believe that rotation sits at 5:45, (others being 5:30 and 6:00 pm.)

Just got off the phone with our TA. We decided to do REAS again. Did it last cruise, when it had a couples massage, instead of the robes and cruise-long pass to the Rainforest Room. Figured being able to book Palo/excursions at 105 days our was an added bonus.
Welcome to Rhiluvsd. Gosh, the list is so long now, I think we're in the first half of the group. DW mentioned that our group is closing in on our 2000th post. I can't even remember what page we were on when we joined.
Regarding travel insurance: we've gotten it, but only for our cruises. The company we used through our TA appears to have better coverage at lower prices than DCL's offering. Definitely will fly in the day before. Just in case there are any flight issues.

Pj-
I've forgotten, and since we have some new friends...what info do you need to link up people's dining?
Sean

I am thinking that there are farrrr to many choices.

We are just above the border like two hours...but Minot isn't helping much.

Sean

For now, just that your are interested and what seating you are assigned now, Main or Late?

When We get closer I will PM everyone who wants to link and get the rest of the details required.

I'm so glad it's Friday! I've been so busy this week I need a cruise RIGHT NOW!

CHRIS-I think I saw you holding your kids while they were flying off the ground!:lmao:

Welcome to all the newbies I've missed in the last week! Join in and whatever you do, don't miss the sailaway! Rer and I will be breakdancing while Kimmielee takes pics and Chris holds our drinks!:dance3:

ohsodisney-Your pic is EXACTLY why I live in the south! And by the way, what and where is smokey? I don't see crap in your pic in the distance except a shadow of a tree!:rotfl2:

I was going to make it the Find the hidden horsey picture, but it just sounded to corny, see so yes you made me do it anyways . There is a hidden horse.

I think I can see some spindley legs in the pic. I'm not going to say where in case someone else wants to play! The pics of the cave tubing look really cool! I may have to do that after all!pirate:

OH I have two questions... Why with a travel agent.. I need a discount.....the travel agents here have no discount.

Glad to have you with us! You will find we are a very friendly group!!

As for a TA... I used one because based on the category I booked, I got a $200 discount from DCL and my TA matched it! So... getting on the ship I'm $400 to the good right from the get go! PM me if you'd like a name!

Hey everyone else!! I wish I could say the work week is over for me... but I have to go into the office tomorrow!

I can't wait until Mid-April when my assistant returns :yay:

I also signed up to be the Committee Chairperson for Noah's Tiger Cub Scout troup... WHAT WAS I THINKING???

So... good to see we have another unsuspecting family joining us! We just keep getting bigger and better...

PJ - thanks for keeping us organized!

PJ, I just read lbgraves' trip report and it looks like y'all had a blast! I'm hoping we can live up to that bill!

PS I'm still looking for our team mascot. It might have to be a Captain Jack Sparrow. I dont think I can top Bobby the Banana! pirate:

I think you should definitely try the tubing. not only did it look amazing but we ate in an open air restaurant in the jungle which was the most beautiful setting .

My all time favorate port however was Caracus Venezuela. We took a jeep tour up into the deep jungle ( La Hacienda La Flora ) and there we had fresh brewed coffee, jungle juice, yucca, and other fixings. I held a 2 toed sloth and had a a drunk parakett that was apparently sucking on a rum icecube all morning. We then treked down the jungle on foot pass a child chewing on sugarcane, it was humbling to see how these natives lived. He had a squirrel in a cage which was what the guide said "his pet". The bees nest sat high up in these intertwining trees were about the size of car tire or larger, amazing. Just the views alone coming down the mountain were the best I have ever seen in my life.
At the end of the trail we entered into what I still like to call an oasis in the jungle. It is beyond words, flowers everywhere with small streams flowing down from the rocks into a large pool of warm water. I never wanted to leave this place NEVER.
I am having a hard time finding a cruise ship that sails to that port. If I did, it would certainly be our next cruise.

Welcome Rhiluvsd :goodvibes:

I 2nd vital's TGIF....longggg week at work. Relaxing a bit with the DIS is a good thing.

Wow....that picture looks so COLD Maria. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr. We are supposed to get a little bit of snow here in TN Sunday....if we got snow like you do it would close down the whole state. An inch & the kids get out of school & nobody can drive :car:.

Is it time to go yet???????? I am ready for this.....

The reason no one goes to Caracas anymore is the political turmoil there. Chavez is the president now, I'm sure you've heard of him in the news teaming up with Iraq to be anti-American. If you went there, they couldn't guarantee you'd return. I'm serious. I've been there on a cruise before also. My aunt *uncle's wife* is from there and her family is still there. Her family met us at the port with a rented mini-bus as it was my uncles whole family on the cruise. We went to parts of Caracas that we wouldn't have gone unless we were with them. My little brother and sister have blonde hair and they told us to keep an eye on them b/c they are considered good luck there and could be snatched. I was 23 and not a care in the world and I was FREAKED out! We went to some famous square there and had armed guards watching the bus while we looked around. I saw poverty like I've never seen before *and I live in MS* and I saw beautiful houses like none other. I noticed there was no middle class at all. We also ate at a local restaurant that have never really seen Americans before so we had the royal treatment. That's where I discovered "Boula Beer" I'm not sure how you spell it but it was beer with Sangria and fruit in it. It was awesome. When we got back to the ship, my ex had bought some coffee and it was unopened. They pulled us out of line and frisked us. Then they *the local cops with the Uzi machine guns* stuck a knife down in the coffee 2 or 3 times to make sure there wasn't anything but coffee in the can. My ex just threw it away since it would be stale by the time we got home. Don't get me wrong, Venezuala is a beautiful country and I'm glad I went. I have NO desire to go back. My aunt's mom is very sick and she doesn't go home very often because she's scared she'll be harassed or kept in the country just because she's living in MS and married to an American.

JUST SCARY :scared1: WOW

Paula, Even when we cruised there many many years ago , they warned us on the ship that it can be very dangerous. My Mom was very upset just knowing I was planning this tour. However once we arrived at port I will say 80% of the people on our cruise went ashore, you have to understand I was in my early twenties as well, and you know how that is, your ears fall of at that stage in your life.
I did heard the same about the blonde kids, that also goes for other islands as well. But yes, that is very scary. Unfortunately I am the type that when I hear a noise in my house, I go to look for it, opening closets or pulling open the bathroom shower curtain, or if a sign says"danger do not enter! I would probally be the first to go in:rotfl2:.
I know I will not go there now but maybe someday I will be able to go back.

$20,000 TO BE A BLOODY WAITER?

Hey Gent,
Did you see the video of the South African soccer game? The one cancelled by the winds. The signs along the edges of the field were ripped out by the winds, and started sailing across the pitch. Players and officials scrambling for cover.

Think of it as a "trainer" you can wipe our brows with a towel, squirt drinks in our mouth, rub our shoulders to ready us for the next song and ward of the thousands of screaming fans!:lmao: And besides, you'll have a front row seat! :cheer2: pirate:

Sorry, my imagination is running amock this morning! Or, you could just join in and dance away!:dance3:
