October 27, 2007 - Cruising around the Moon - A Magical All Hallows Eve Part 3

2 weeks today untill we sail away ​

Two weeks from this very moment (8:48 a.m.) Paula, Ethan, Noah and I will be waiting for the town car to pick us up at AllStar Movies!!!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Noah. I'm so proud of him. He was more excited to have friends spend the night than obsessing about presents. I gave him "The Bridge to Terabithia" in case they wanted to watch it las night. The rest of his gifts (a CD, Aqua Dots and tickets to DISNEY ON ICE for next Saturday) I'll give him today at his party.

The kids are bringing books to the party, instead of presents and we are donating them to a local shelter for battered women and children. He has sooo many toys and our trip is around the corner so I convinced him to do something GOOD for others!

Last night my Dad called and my Uncle Monroe passed away (in KY). He was 96, had lived a long life... the last 5 or so in a nursing home. It was odd, because Noah was on the phone, talking with my Dad about his birthday. Then Noah handed me the phone and said, Momma - Papa put me on hold. (Not unusal - my Dad does have call waiting.) Then I looked at my phone to be sure and a saw a voice mail come in but we were still connected with my Dad. So my Dad comes back on the line... but I could tell he was crying. I found out about my Uncle, talked with my Dad for a few minutes and then hung up with him.

I went to check my voice mail and it was MY DAD!! He put Noah on hold to call me on the SAME PHONE Noah was calling him from! I have a feeling he was crying the whole time Noah was talking to him and Noah didn't notice? Noah was going on and on about his birthday, the restaurant we went for dinner, his friends, etc... I felt so bad. Noah has no clue that Papa was so distraught that he didn't realize it was Noah on the phone.

2 weeks from now, we'll be in the car leaving AKL, and headed to PC.

So, I woke up this morning having no idea what day it was. Thought I was late for work so I jumped up and turned on the TV. The local news comes on every day of the week so I still didn't have a clue until I realized it was the weekend anchors on. Sad, I know..

So since I was up, I went ahead and shampooed the carpets and washed some clothes. No, Ethan was not happy about being woken up, but we have to get ready to go to the Mississippi State vs Tennessee game. Boy, those 2 words sure have a lot of repeating letters!

Hopefully we'll win, but I doubt it. Either way, it's a beautiful day and too nice to sit inside.

Just think, Chris has started his vacation already . I didn't hear about any disruptions on a flight from across the pond so I'm guessing he made it safe and sound!

I'm off to the ballgame. Y'all have a great Saturday!

We are going on the 'Moonie" cruise and just found this thread.....you all have been a chatty bunch!!!! We've found the Dis'er activity listings, etc., thanks to everyone for making that info easy to find and all in one spot. I bet we all are going to have a great time!!! Almost time to go

UGH - UGH - UGH - THEY got me sick (darn dd and dh!!!) - AND I have to be at and co-lead a girl scout campout this weekend in near freezing (40 is coooold to me) temperatures - UGH!

Hope you are feeling better Tara! My DD is going to a girl guide camp next weekend and they are roughing it - - NOT. They are sleeping in a building with bunk beds! Would you have any interest in badge trading with my daughter?

Sorry about my absence lately but I actually was sick for a few weeks. I went to the hospital the other day. they thought I had Shingles at first and my heart absolutley sunk. It ended up I had Cellutis, whcih is an infection under the skin, they gave me lots and lots of meds and I'm happy to report it is gone except for the small mark it above my right eye.
I feel bad I have not been as involved as I should have been, things just got crazy here for a few months
Heading out today for yet another B'Day party , Oh my it never ends .

Thanks for the welcome and the links to the Dis'er events onboard.

I had a question about the nightly shows. My wife and I went on a four night cruise last December (it is she and I that are going on this 'Moonie' cruise as well), and my favorite show was Hercules....Pain and Panic are hilarious . I don't see it in the show lineup for this cruise though.....do they not have the Herc show on the Magic?

Also, on the Wonder, there is a large statue of Ariel in front of Triton's in the main lobby. Is her statue in the main lobby on the Magic or is something else at the entrance to Triton's?

Haven't been feeling well the last few days...think I am fighting a cold.
I guess it's better now than in 2 weeks!

Got a call from my neighbor down the street last night...did I want to go see Elton John in concert that night...she had FREE tickets (and her mom was willing to watch all the kids too)????!! Well of course I would like to go!!! I jumped up and got ready and 45 minutes later we were off to the concert. My neighbor had received free tickets from her neighbor whose wife was sick and couldn't make the concert.

The concert was great too!

Packing central here at casa de PaDC. DW has graduated from clipboard and paper to computer file printed out on clipboard. She's got all her dinner and Palo outfits plotted out. Now, she's making sure I'm appropriate for each meal. Items are being rolled and put into ziplock bags that are then flattened. I've got everything on my list out and ready to go. She's making a last trip list of items to buy. Tonight we'll fill out Bahamas forms. All other paperwork has been reviewed and distilled down to just what is necessary. We've printed out a high-quality copy of the poem onto nice paper for use as part of our door decorations.
Back to packing...

And all the while, 6 Disney CD's are playing in random order on the stereo.

I have been every where trying to find the black shoes that i want.......BUT i cant seeem to find them getting ready to hit one more store tonight before bed.

I have one suit case totally done.........all packed, belted, list for whats in it printed out, and set by bedroom door ready to go...............NOW LETS SEE............is that only 7 more to go?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
