October 27, 2007 - Cruising around the Moon - A Magical All Hallows Eve Part 3

A little over a week ago, while in full packing mode I totally lost my focus. I was off from work and talking on the phone w/Sean (he was at work). The call waiting beeped. thinkin it would be a telemarketer, I told Sean I would be right back, could he hold. I answered the call and was somewhat surprised...a job offer!!! Surprised because this was over a month since my interview and I pretty much gave up. I was bummed because I had heard that other people I knew were offered the job and I thought I was just as good a candidate. So here I am, faced with the decision. It was difficult. I love my co-workers and my customers (most of them) but in the end it came down to my belief that I'm an excellent employee and I don't believe my employer has rewarded me adequately.
So today I received the pre-employment packet via UPS (this is the package I was waiting for from the Brown Truck). Now I need to go pee in a cup so they know I'm clean. Please wish me luck that I don't urinate on myself...it's inevitable, isn't it?
I'll share more about this on the cruise (if anyone's interested). I will definitely be asking Pam for advice about succeeding in this particular work environment.

I have yet to buy my treats for TOT and fish extenders. Was going to do that this weekend. I'll leave mine in their individual packages for the "treasure" at the end. I'll be glad to help, just tell me what to do.

what usually happens is I'm so nervous that I urinate many times at home before going for the test. But now I'm an old pro (Sean would say I job-hop) and its no big deal. The other advantage (or disadvantage) I have is the closest lab is 24 miles away so I'm sure my kidneys will be in high gear making urine during the drive!!

Christine. I collect urine specimens every day in my job as a nurse...so my best piece of advice for you is PLEASE screw on the top good. I have had them slosh out on my more times than I can count. Good things I ALWAYS wear my gloves. Good luck in your new job. How exciting!!!!

Ok, so I've found the funniest thread ever. If you don't have a good sense of humor, please don't go and ruin it for everyone. It's random pics folks have taken of people in the parks. The title is Let's see your pics that make you say "What the....?" Some are hilarious! Then there are the folks that think people are terrible for laughing at the pics. If I were to wear/look like some of the folks on this thread then I'd laugh at myself too. It's all in good fun. I expect to see my son and I on it one day. We can look pretty rough after a day at the parks.

Well here we are 14 months on I'd just like to thank people on here for making the time go so quickly,it's been a laugh and we've learnet so much about the cruise we've even began to question weather we've been on the same boat before or not... ,I'd just like to say if at any point Ive upset anyone besides the "i have no life Discop"please except my sincere apologizes it was not something i set out to do....

Have a wonderful trip,To the lady's wear as little as you can and to the men drink as much as you can get away with,oh and don't forget wear your shades when checking out the sites as a swift right hook from the other half can offend,and hurt...
