I can't believe your cruise is over :sad1: - I also don't like the thought that this time next year my cruise will also be over!

I am really looking forward to all the trip reports!

I must have looked like Eeyore walking around the grocery store this morning. I took a liking to the smoked salmon on the breakfast buffets on the ship. I decided to see if I could buy some, to help wean me off cruise food. It's over $4 for a tiny package :sad2: Needless to say, I did not buy it.
Bought some honeydew instead. I will think about Goofy's Galley & pretend I'm sitting on deck 9 when I eat it. :)

Hi everyone,

We made it home..walked in the door at 11 pm. Heard from our neighbor that the cat wasn't too happy that we had been gone again.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who feels like I am still on the 'rocking' boat! When will this go away?!

Lynn I'm jealous you already have another cruise planned! :)

We had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone and especially had a wonderful time with our tablemates! My son still talks about you all! ...and he's really into the pins! We bought 2 more at the airport! :yay:

Can't wait to read your trip reports and see pics. I finished up my pics at Gatorland...that was fun end to our trip. :)

Now I'm off to the laundromat as it seems the washer has decided to "burn out" while working on the first load of vacation clothes...and we are out of cat litter too! ugh! :scared1:

welcome home!

Home safe and sound, run into more effects of noel in the air on the way home, lots of bumpy flying.

It is good to see all those who are arriving back at home base today and yesterday. I am with those who are still rocking, it is easier to move with it, lol. I think a couple more days of gravol will be in order.

ALLIE!!! Taylor misses you and wants to email you if you have an email address!!!

Gizimoto and Evan: It was wonderful to have you as tablemates and to chat with you on our excursions. Hope to keep in touch with you...Evan maybe we can do some long distance pin trading!!!

Chesire Figment: An Honor to meet you and glad you were able to join our "family of three"!! Look forward to seeing you on the boards!!

and to everyone else whom I was lucky enough to meet, IT WAS AN HONOR!! and I hope to cruise with you again!!!!

THANK YOU TO ALL FOR YOUR LOVELY FISHY GIFTS!!

We arrived home early yesterday but we weren't home long, My parents along with DH's mom wanted to go out to lunch and hear all about our trip. Then everyone came back to our house to watch the video's and slide show from the video/camera. So needless to say I JUST now finished unpacking and the 3rd load of laundry is in the washer...

We REBOOKED for October 25,2008 Double Dip, I had planned on doing this earlier and very glad DH was excited as I was that we would be returning. So I now have another discussion forum to post to and I hope everyone continues to keep in touch here!!!

It was so nice to meet all of you!!! Thank you all for the fun fish extender gifts. The kids had a BLAST always checking to see if there was mail when we came back to the room!

We're in Vero Beach for two days right now. Weather is GORGEOUS and making the sad Castaway Cay memories fade. :(

Dizzi - congrats on being a fellow DVC owner! We love our points and here at Vero Beach we're really really really loving our points! We're never used them anywhere but the Orlando properties and I can't believe how nice this is down here and how much fun the kids are having.

Thanks again to all of you - and how funny that so many of our DH's are named Eric!! (I kept getting them confused.)

Sherri :)

OH YES...........
we definitley plan on VERO BEACH!!!
PROBALLY a visit with and without the kids are in our near future!

Glad to har you love your POINTs...........

I hope we do!
I am sure we will!

Anybody have any pictures from the Halloween costume contest that they are willing to share? We have NONE since we were up there. I should have thought to hand my camera to some one.
Thanks,
Melanie

P.S. I should say thanks for all the cool fish extender treats & all the Happy Birthdays!!!!!

You guys ROCK!!!!!!!!!

Melanie, Congratulations to winning the costume contest. We were yelling for you from Deck 5. And ya know I had a camera in hand and a great view, but never took a picture. How silly of me.

My husband checked his email yesterday and got the "official" picture of the magic and wonder docked...we thought it was funny that we were there in person. He will go to work with some stories to tell.

We enjoyed meeting everyone and our daughter loved the fishie gifts. Thanks to all that dropped some off. She loved going to put stuff in other people's as well....though it took forever when a 3 year old tries doing it all. It killed lots of time.

Poohnpiglet3 it was great playing with the kids on the never ending circle of the Mickey Slide. Your son cracked me up everytime he came down and gave me a big high five.

Pam and Kim thanks for all your hardwork with the activities and stuff for the kids.

I am sorry I did not get to spend more than a few passing seconds with most of you. We were just very busy and the week flew by.

For those that have never been on DCL before I am very sorry you missed Castaway Cay...something to look forward to next time. I have been docked there once when it was so bad you could not leave the ship. Nassau was better then staring at an Island you cannot get to.

I think it was Melanie's husband in the Atrium Friday who made the comment about today he was avoiding the horrible island (I know that is not what he used) and that he went on the 7 day just to not end up in Nassau and here he was. Tell him he made a lot of people laugh this morning. We got a call from a friend DCL shoreside and we gave them his quote and they all thought that was the funniest thing they heard as a way to deal with the situation.

Enjoy going back to work for those that have not already.

Hi everyone!

Does anyone have a great photo of the two ships next to each other?
I will get our two uploaded and post them soon!

We are home and back online. The kids are asleep and the rocking motion seems to have finally stopped.

Tomorrow we join the real world and I start planning our trip for next November to Disneyland and Legoland in CA.... unless I can convince Tom to go in Jan, Feb or Mar instead!!! =-)

It was great to meet you all! My kids had the time of their lives and can not wait for me to convince daddy that we have to go back since we missed Castaway Cay! I think it will be 2009 for us and I will look for a double dip so we hopefully can make up for missing it this time!

Good Nite all!
Trish

I like these two, as I did not get off the ship, an insider's view point

We have well over 700pictures and I know we took a few of you Melanie so as soon as I get a minute I will get them downloaded and moved over to photobucket for all to see, we will also put a few of our "DINNER MOMENTS" on you tube so beware Lynn,Linda, and Mike!!!

Hi everyone Ime here and I survived our cruise. Its chillie here I want the sun back. That last night was rough I was going to get the life jackets out. It was great meeting everyone. My grandkids loved getting their treats everyday thanks everyone. We booked for some time in Dec 2008 but will move it. :flower3:

Just got back from the Post Office, to get the mail. The clerk came out with one of those white totes that they use. It was almost full. Been sorting at home for about an hour now. Wow.

We ended up with about 170 pictures. I'll have to ask DW how to use Photobucket, and what size to use to post here. I think our last attempt resulted in a giant picture. Any tips on what size to use? And drats! Our group dinner photo didn't turn out. Hopefully PJ, Vital, or Kimmielee has one that did.

I think the end of the laundry is in sight. Next up is lawn mowing. We think it all fell 10/26, but we found over 2 inches of water still in the rain gauge last night. DW returned to work today, and I go back tomorrow. If I get a lot done, the TR will be started today.

:groom:

Oh No!!!!!!!   :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I just found out that a friend of mine from Arizona took a last minute Disney cruise. She just happened to be on the Disney WONDER in Nassau while we were parked there too!! She didn't know we happened to be on the Disney Magic until I e-mailed her when I got back home. :lmao:

Small world! :rotfl:

We arrived safe and sound in New Jersey yesterday. I still occasionally feel as though I’m on the ship. I must admit that on Sunday morning I was saying to myself, “Now if only the tub would stop moving I could get in and take a shower.”

We had a FANTASTIC time on the cruise despite the obvious and made some AWESOME friends.

I’ll be sure to share some of our generic pictures and look forward to seeing everyone else’s (it’s always helpful if someone else happened to get the shot you didn’t). Like many, I’m also looking for any good pictures of the two ships. I’m been searching the internet for a press release or something hoping to find the picture. We planned to buy one from Shutters on Saturday morning but forgot with all the rushing around.
