Next cruise ( October 2008 ) a round of drinks are on me, after some more weight loss and a visit to Dr. Plastic, I might be the one in a thong on the Banana Boat

My shirt is complete!

this is what i have done to it!

Not knowing yur age........do you rcall back in the late 70s maybe early 80s, the "workout shirts" that had a larger round neck and the sleeves DID not have a seam at the shoulder......think olivia newton john in lets get physical.

My top is similiar!

This is what i did. FIst i cut the short sleeves off, still so big that the shirt came down over my shoulders. So next i measured, turned it inside out and seamed up the sides and made sleeves out of what was already there. Sortof sewing in an L the long piece being up the side of the shirt and the short piece being the "NEW SLEEVE"

Next i cut out the ribbed part of the neck!

Make sure if any one does this the long part of the L is really not perfectly stait as you must leave a liitle curve out ward for you ****ies....depending on how big they are or how much plastic you have gotten done!

This is for dizzi -- an account of my very own banana boat adventure...


At this point, her party is shouting, “just leave her fat a**” and “tow her in with a rope, behind the boat” (those are the nice ones). She is exhausted, she is crying and we are ready to go back. We have now been out on the water for 90 minutes (for a boat ride that is supposed to take 30). She is frustrated, we are frustrated…The men in her party decide to give one more last ditch effort. All of the men on that boat join together and FINALLY, they haul her into the boat…losing her tankini bottom in the process. The get her in the boat and the men and women in her party press her into the bottom of the banana boat and SIT on her. The men hauling us around retrieve her swimsuit bottom. We all try to look away as she attempts to wriggle into it. It was one of the WORST, most awkward boat rides EVER!!!

OK - So I am NOT booking this excursion! That poor woman!

I am now debating weather to make the "cap sleeves" into a tank top!!

I am also doing soemthign with my DDs, i think i am going to actually cut long tie pieces out of it and she can tie it at her waist it is big enough to do this with but i have to wait until she gets home from school to see if that is what she wants to do.

Thank you for the info. I was thinking about slimming the fit of mine (make it a little curvier rather than boxy)...and making it a bit of a boat neck...I got a new sewing machine for Christmas and am itching to actually MAKE something with it, rather than just experimenting with the embroidery stitches

Ok, so on my calender at work I started on Oct 25 and counted backwards til today and wrote it on the day. (like a countdown). Now when I get stressed at work I just look at the calender and see that I only have 58 days left! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IS ANY ONE BRINGING, anything besides CANDY, to give out for HALOWEEN treats?

I am bringing a book for each child and then maybe some other things but i think i am not bringing candy.

Is this an ogar thing, i just figured with free food and free deserts and everyone else bringing candy that the kids would be wired up enough without more candy!

My treat bags ( I think I will have enough for 24) are going to have stickers, pencils or pens, little note pads, pirate temporary tatoos & a cool pirate bracelet. If ya'll aren't bringing candy then I won't bother to pack any either as it will just take up more room in my suitcase, but I had planned on tootsie pops & smarties cause they won't melt.

Which Island is it that they have to do the Fireworks at?

The 31st is St Marteen?

So if that is the place maybe they will just do them both the same time, is there no way of knowing?

Should nt disney at least tell you what is going on?!?!?!?!?

I hope pirate night & Halloween won't be the same...........as I have already ordered pirate costumes & have my friend making my Mary Poppins costume for Halloween. Thoughts please...surely they will be different nights.
