Hello there
we are on the same cruise
This will be our first cruise and it is a serect as I have booked it for a surprize for our 20th wedding annaivay which is at the beginnin of Oct
that is when I am planning on telling DH

there will be me , DH and 2 DS age 15 and 8
the only plans I have made is putting DS 8 into the club and I have signed DS 15 up for some teen thingie on cayaway cay
so who is going with you and have you any plans

Just myself! Also my first cruise and have no idea what to expect. Never been out of the country before (unless you count Niagara Falls ON for a long weekend, so I guess I should say I've never been to the Islands...) so this should definately be an experience! I should start looking at some shore excursions...maybe a spa treatment?
All the way from Ireland! I'm assuming your also spending some time in FL as well?

yes we are going to WDW after the cruise staying at Port Orleans for 9 nights , we have a 3 day stop over in New York first then coming down the night before
What about yourself , are you going to Visit the world this trip

I'm doing one night at the AKL beforehand...
I did look at some shore excursions and kayaking on Castaway Cay sounds good as well as just renting a bike for a while to tour the island...as for Nassau, I don't know what to do there...maybe head over to Atlantis and with a stop at the straw market?

Looks like its us! There's one other person from the DIS listed in the master cruise directory that's stickied to the top of the cruise forum...maybe I'll pm them and see if they are still going.

Will anyone be dressing up for Pirate Night on this short cruise?

I just booked my reservation last night and I can't wait!!! My sister and I are going - we are WDW addicts but never cruised before. I'm reading everything I can get my hands on so I'm totally prepared.

As far as pirate dressing - HECK YEAH! Considering I dressed up for the movie opening of POC2 this summer, I've already packed my pirate gear - arggg!

30 days to go!!!

We are not planning to do to much since it is our first time. We don't want to get overwhelmed. Mainly checkout the shows on the Wonder and relax at Castaway Cay. I would love to rent a Hobie Cat and learn to sail but they may not rent to beginners.

What is everyone else doing?

Not sure what plans yet - just reading about the wine flights and the martini flights and the shopping - OH MY!

Jackie, you should look into DVC if you come over every year, I think a lot of Brits own (I know its not the same thing - both my grandparents were from Ireland and we got our full of lectures about the evil English!). You'll be easy to spot on the cruise

One thing we are definitely planning on is decorating our cabin door - looks like they're metal so you can put magnets and tape things on them! And for sure the Pirate party - can't wait to see the Flying Dutchman...

Sorry what is a Hobie Cat

The Hobie Cat is a small sailboat.

You can rent them for $18 / 30 minutes at Castaway Cay. It looks like it would be a lot of fun.

As for cabin doors, I have asked my kids to each make up a door magnet for our door.

Time to start waiting at the mailbox for our cruise documentation.
