October 25, 2014 Fantasy Western "The Not So Scary Halloween Cruise 2014"

I read somewhere in the beginning of the thread that a few of you have been on the Halloween cruise before. Is this an annual thing that you do? J/w. Sounds like a great group of Disers! If that's the case, I have a feeling we'll be joining you on the 2015 Halloween Cruise as well.

We traditionally have mostly sailed in September or early October (with a few exceptions). In 2010 we said he Halloween cruise and it was just as awesome as we thought it would be! We tend to sail DCL every other year (or...well...we did before they changed their rebooking policy earlier this year), we had a scheduling conflict in 2012 but it appears Halloween will work well for us this time around. Not sure we will get back around in 2015 (tentatively we have a trip for DLR planned )

Wow, thanks for detailed explanation and understanding my desire for details. . You rock. I suppose I was thinking mainly about the T shirt graphic. Silly of me to think it was easy. lol
Wasn't life simpler in the past? Weren't computers supposed to make our lives easier?

I'll be pleased with anything that is available. I was just asking.

Anyone else feel more comfortable than usual knowing we have experienced, helpful, knowledgeable, and awesome leaders aboard this sailing? We do.

You're welcome. Ron came up with an awesome idea, too. I just have to figure out how to implement it. (Need to teach him Photoshop! LOL!) With all of the awesome talent on this thread there are bound to be some great designs to choose from!

Nenner1, I'm not able to see any images you post... anywhere. Even on the links you posted about your last Halloween cruise. Is there something that I need to download in order to see the images?

It's not you, it's me, unfortunately. or...well...it's Photobucket.

It has a long explanation but basically my old trip reports are (still! Ack!) so popular that they use up all of the bandwidth for my free Photobucket accounts (my photos are spread between several accounts in a [failed] attempt to try to circumvent this little problem) , I used to pay for a Photobucket Pro account but they changed their terms awhile back and to keep all of my photos I would need to buy the unlimited account that is $40/month!

Since I refuse to pay that highway robbery, every month my bandwidth runs out and I have to wait until my accounts reset for them to be visible again (albeit for a short time) I think around the 12th of the month is when my links reset.

I always forget everyone else can't see them because on our computers our saved cookies mean I can still see all of them. Sorry about that!!!

We are definitely interested in doing a group excursion to the beach Not too picky as long as there is ability to load our son's adaptive stroller on the transportation and pathways of some sort to maneuver him into the complex. It is a nightmare to push in the sand! Other than that, we can make anything work

Our family would be very interested in the Amazing Race, if the group can get it to work. My daughter will be 4mo post ACL repair, but, based on reviews, I think she could manage. My kids will be missing school, so are looking into a project that they can do for extra credit(Spanigh 5 and Spanish 3), so the race may provide that opportunity!

Hi everyone! Does anyone have any suggestions on excursions in Jamaica with a 4 year old? I have been trying to read up and am getting a ton of mixed reviews on the Dunns River excursion. Only 272 days until we are on that beautiful ship!!

Nope, I would not recommend Dunn's for a 4 year old. We just did Blue Hole, which has climbing waterfalls like Dunn's in Falmouth with our 5 year old in November. She had a hard time and really couldn't do it at all. Rocks are slippery, and footing can be tricky. Human chains are formed and while that can help, it can also hinder when we are talking little ones. People do fall. Then there is the annoyance of the vendors up at the top.

Jamaica has some beautiful beaches, and there is a Margaritaville right in the protected port area that has (or- well by the time we are there will have) a large pool .
