Long time No post, but I'm back :) Ron, you must tell me about the Jamaica excursion. Who was it booked through? The last time we were in Jamaica was for our Honeymoon, almost 24 years ago! The resort we went to is now either closed down or under new ownership. I recall going to a falls that was in the movie, was that Dunn's River Falls? I also remember taking a ride down the Rio Grande on a little raft, with a driver using a long pole (much like the ones in Italy), and visiting a Blue Lagoon Beach (was that in the Blue Lagoon movie?) Would LOVE to revisit one of those places, but must check out how close they are to our port. We set sail on the OASIS Two weeks from yesterday!!!!! :yay::yay:

For a Group Excursion, what are most of you interested in? A Beach Break, a Snorkeling tour, site seeing, a hike, any other ideas? Thinking of organizing a group thing in Cozumel. If somethings already in the works, let me know :)

Nothing yet. I really liked how we all went to Nachi in 2010! Paradise Beach was nice, Playa Mia looks really cool (it has a waterpark). The thing that made Nachi really stand out was the 100 capacity and we got enough people on the Dis to fill it up.

I'm really open to where. I'd just like to see it happen. I know this lacks creativity, but Nachi may be the best bet to have a large private group. :confused3

I'm so far thinking; private tour Falmouth to Mystic Mountain/ Dunn Falls/ Blue hole. Not sure if we have enough time though. Really considering a dolphin swim for the 2 kids. Not sure where, but my kids have to see Stingray City on GC, so if dolphin swim planned that may have to occur in Cozumel. If no dolphin swim for kids then we were considering one the these places mentioned above in Cozumel. But I know my kids would like water toys. Don't forget about Mr. Sancho's too in Cozumel. I can see however those w/o kids may prefer Nachi.

Just my thoughts/plans, or lack there of, at this time.

Good to hear from you TJ. Enjoy the Oasis, is it stopping in Falmouth?

Just curious why your stateroom is unknown. You are normally assigned one when you book. Are categories in GTY already? Of course if it's just a secret, that's always cool too. :cool2: TIA

GTY cabins are usually assigned about 50 days prior to sailing. The GTY means DCL will assign the cabin, you do not pick the cabin. Some get cabin 50 days out and others it may be days before or even at check in. So there is times where someone may not have a number yet :)

:thumbsup2 Still curious though if any cats are now in GTY. If so, we are filling up. ;)
They won't go GTY unless there are none/or only a few cabins left in a given category though. IME/O

Falmouth is pretty far from Ocho (about two hours of round trip traveling), so you can probably do two of those things. Blue hole wore me out a bit, but in a great way. IMO Mystic Mountain is a lot of standing around waiting for only a minute of fun. We were planning on Dunn's on our last trip, but after being at the Blue hole we knew it wouldn't be a fair comparison. We should have done it the other way around. So we skipped it had an awesome lunch and made it back to port with about 45 minutes to shop.

Sanchos is a lot like Paradise beach and may be a good choice for our group!

I keep forgetting that we are going to GC. Sting Ray city is a must see! We've done it twice now. We actually did a private Dis Group with Captain Marvins to Sting Ray City in 2010. I'd love to go there again, but I'm not sure if Jen will want to do it again.

Yes the OASIS will be stopping at Falmouth. We are considering one of either a private tour, staying on the ship or just checking out the new Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville :)
I forgot our Fantasy cruise will be going to Grand Cayman!!!! Last time we were there, we did a Group tour through Captain Marvins and they ended up giving us their LARGEST boat, and it was all ONLY our DIS group that went (I believe 88 people total?) It took us to Stingray City and two snorkeling locations and was truly and Amazing excursion!!
Now Nachi, for the privateness of it, was very nice. For kids, they loved the pool and we did an amazing scavenger treasure hunt, which kept them somewhat busy for a time. All in all it was an amazing trip with some amazing people! I've heard of Playa Mia, might be worth checking out too. I do like the seclusion of Nachi, but experiencing something new might be nice too.

I had a friend stop in the Grand Cayman and the Dolphin extreme (your 9yo can do it) was less expensive than Cozumel (as was the photo package) and you can get the push pull and the other thing. She said it was wonderful.

I am doing that with my 3 there (on this cruise:laughing:)

Ha ha. You can't keep all your cruises straight. :rotfl2:

Once aboard each one you will have to ask or check your paperwork to see which ports you will be visiting. :lmao:

Hope you enjoy them all. :thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao:

I'm going to have to ask someone where I am every day. :confused3

I truly believe if they were all different ports, I would be ok. Two of them are the exact same itinerary. I'm all kinds of confused. Although, that isn't a stretch for me without the same cruise booked twice.;)

I just hope I remember the right kids. :rotfl:

Either that, or it's old age. My birthday is tomorrow, so it is probably the second choice.:rotfl2:

Not necessarily, last year when I booked the 4 day on the dream for Sept, they had a dream promo they rolled out in Jan. It had great prices, great upgrades and great obc. It can vary and be offered at any given time. They also offer the IGT, OGT, and VGT. These work different than the GTY :) And the funny thing is, you can have GTY on some sailings but not all. It's really up to DCL when they just want to throw something out there, kinda like the Florida Resident etc...

Out of curiosity and amusement I checked cabin availability for this sailing using 2A. Interesting how the least and most expensive sell out first. :scratchin
Of course this is using the DCL site and inventory can change hourly , so ....

Inside cat 10a; gone
Inside cat 11c; GTY
Inside cat 11b; 1 cabin left
Inside cat 11a; 3 cabins left
So 4 inside cabins left, wow.

OV cats gone; 8a-d, 9a
OV cat 9d; 1 cabin left
OV cat 9c; GTY
OV cat 9b; GTY
So 1 OV cabin left, wow.

Cat 4 - 7 verandas.
Cat 7; gone
Cat 6; gone
Cat 5e; gone (greedy folks here, :lmao:)
It shows at least 8 cabins in each of the other veranda cats, 5a-d, 4a-e, which is the max. So good availability.

CL cat V; gone
CL cat T; one left, 11020
CL cat R; gone

So top, bottom, and aft filling up, the middle yet to go. :rotfl2:
I can now see why some don't know their cabin #. They booked GTY, IMO.
