Hi all. My name is David, currently of Boyds, MD. My Fiancée Kimberly (slykrab) and I are new here but I wanted to chime in to let you are know that we're coming on the cruise as part of our honeymoon. Of course, by the time we come on the cruise, she'll be my wife. We'll be in room #8676 with a second seating for dinner. We're beyond excited to go on the cruise. This will be Kimberly's second Disney cruise and my first (cruise of any kind). We are also very excited to participate in the Fish Extender which was actually how we found this group in the first place (I'll be sending a PM shortly to get on that list). We look forward to cruising with you all.

Hi, this is Kimberly. You’ve already met my Fiancé. I can’t wait for this cruise and I can’t wait to meet you all! :cheer2:

10 must be such a fun age for a Disney cruise!

I never took them on a cruise when they were little, so 8 was the youngest I've taken a child. She loved it so much. Then again, any trip where it has been just the two of us she loves because she gets to do whatever activity she fancies. On family trips, she doesn't always get to choose.

She is looking forward to meeting some of the kids that she has been getting to know on these boards. That will be a new experience for me because the last few trips she never ditched me. LOL! I have a feeling I will have to bring some really good books this trip.;)

Welcome David and Kimberly. :cool1:

Another aft cabin ...... :scratchin

Perhaps we will relocate to be closer to the party. ;)

Only 378 days, 1 year & 13 days, 54 weeks, 9072 hours, or 544000 minutes till we sail. :sad2:

We will definitely need to sneak something in prior to this sailing.

Hello all,

My name is Cindi...I just switched my sailing date from Sept 27th on the Fantasy to this date. I booked originally on board the dream this past Sept. 1st. I am so looking forward to having a great time with everyone. My daughter Caitlyn will be sailing with me. This will be her first Disney cruise and my 3rd. Love having fun, and I bet the Halloween sailing will be fun :cool1: I also sent my request to participate in the FE Group, last cruise in Sept. I was the organizer for group 2. We had 42 cabins :) If any extra help is needed, I can help with the FE group. Looking forward to a great trip :yay: We will be in cabin 7531.

Hello to all of the new additions to the group! Almost to the one year mark... :yay:

I love that your DD still wants to hang out with you at 21!! I hope my kids still want to take trips with me when they are older :goodvibes

She is really wanting to cruise on DCL. We have done several cruises in the past and she enjoys Disney. So we planned the trip :) Booking the dummy cruise onboard last month was well worth it. Having the flexibility to change the date at any time is awesome, so I did  She didn't get to sail with me last month due to college just starting...so now she will be happy

:cool1: This is going to be such a fun cruise. :cheer2:

What sort of incentives do they offer to book another cruise while on board? Since I've only been on one Disney cruise before, and that was several years ago, I don't know much about such things.

10% off the prevailing rate at time of booking, and $100-$200 OBC (according to length of cruise. It used to be a lot more... oh well! It's something :)).

And you only have to put 10% down which is nice. Can book a 3-day dummy for very little, and move it to a 7-day later if you wanted to (according to availability and all of that other fine print stuff of course :) ).

As mentioned in the other post...you get 10% off the price of the cruise, you put down a 10% deposit. Your OBC for 4 days or less is $100.00 and anything 7 days or longer is $200.00. You can leave the booking just with Disney or you can add your TA's name if you use one. If you use a TA you can double dip with the OBC. For example, when I booked on the ship in Sept, I got $200.00 OBC from Disney, listed my TA and picked up another $175.00 from them. So I will be boarding with $375.00 at the start. Great deal. You also always have the option to change dates and keep the above discounts. If you cancel the cruise entirely and don't sail and book later on, you no longer get the incentives. And if using the TA, it's best to be added to reservation when on the ship, otherwise you have 30 days to list them and is considered a transfer at that time, that will equal less OBC :):):):):):):) Hope this helps :):):):):)

Does anyone know what type of adult activities the ships normally have going on? This will be our first time sailing during Halloween :yay:

Cindi- absolutely! PM me if you have a Google username and I can add you as an admin on the list page in Drive (I think- I haven't had success with that yet, but I can keep trying! LOL!)

I'm happily accepting any help I can get! ;):rotfl:

For just Halloween? If I can recall correctly there was an adult party in one of the lounges. I think I might remember an adult costume contest but my memories on that are a bit fuzzy..I know there was a family or group costume contest. There wasn't too much actually geared towards Halloween just for adults. Of course things may have changed since 2010! ;)

One of the things I would love to do for this group is either arrange a private Mixology or if we can't swing that (we need someone in concierge willing to arrange it) then maybe we can just pick one to all try to sign up for. We had a private Mixology session on our last cruise just for our Dis group and it was totally awesome! One of the best experiences of the entire cruise! They even made us a signature drink named after our Dis group! We'll have to figure out the logistics on possibly doing that this time. :drinking1

I have updated the FE list, welcome aboard to all our new cruisers and the new folks doing FE!:yay: I noticed we have several nut allergies in our group I went in and highlighted the allergy information to red and also I made the cabin numbers of folks that have allergies red for easier recognition. So if you notice the change that's why!

We have been crazy busy here lately. As Ron has mentioned we are cruising on Oasis of the Seas in just 19 short days...and we still have a million things to do. We are very excited to visit Jamaica for the first time and will bring back a full report for those of you who have not been there yet!

And as Halloween approaches, I can't help but think of how AMAZING next Halloween will be! :woohoo:

Hey everyone.

Just thought that I'd mention that right after Halloween would be a good time to pick up some close-out Halloween stuff that you might want to incorporate with your FE gifts or door decorations...
