Child :$37 (ages 3-9)(CZ-42)
Discover the historic beauty of captivating Cozumel during a tour of the San Gervasio ruins and wander El Cedral, the ancient site of the island's first Catholic Mass.

Behold a striking landscape of sprawling coastline and stunning blue water during a 10-minute walk from the ship to the transportation rendezvous point. Upon your arrival, board an air-conditioned, motor coach and embark on a 20-minute drive inland to your first stop, the recently excavated ruins of San Gervasio. Once there, embark on an approximate 90-minute, guided tour of the pre-Columbian Maya site, where exterior columns and stone walls mingle with short ceilings and mysterious red-colored hand prints. Snap a picture of the century-old structures — such as the Chi Chan Nah, El Arco, and Nohoch Nah — and learn about the early civilization that once called this awe-inspiring place home. Discover Ixchel, the goddess of fertility and good health, and find out why ancient Mayan women traveled hundreds of miles to San Gervasio to pay homage to her.

After your visit, enjoy a 20-minute drive to what is considered to be the best spot on the eastern side of the island for breathtaking views, the sightseeing point known as El Mirador. Once there, gaze out upon the brilliant turquoise sea and marvel at the jagged rock formations that time and the crashing waves have carelessly crafted. Following your stop, make your way to the very spot of Cozumel that the early Spanish explorers came upon when they landed in 1518: El Cedral. Brimming with scant remnants of yesteryear, including a small structure that is the island's oldest and the ruins of a cinderblock church, El Cedral was once the center of Maya life and is said to be the site of the very first Catholic Mass on Cozumel. Stroll through this historically important area and shop for souvenirs amidst the local vendors that now call this place home. After your approximate 35-minute visit, sit back, relax and take in the sweeping sights once more as you embark on a 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Thanks Sean. Was there anything on what you could access about the meet times/options for the tours in Grand Cayman? For example, what times are offered for the Grand Cayman Island Tour?

With High School Musical 3 opening in theaters on October 24th, is it a pretty safe bet that it will be playing on the Magic during our cruise?

Both of my daughters are really hoping that they can see it on the ship.

Can I just say I am TOTALLY envious of you that have the iphone! I've heard (mostly) great things about it and how much it does! No wonder they're gone as soon as it comes out!

I looked into the Verizon Voyager but when we we're getting phones there was a 2 week waiting list for it! So I got the enV instead (love it, btw!) but it's no iphone!

Hey, Newfiemom!! Thanks for sending the rain! Boy, I asked and you sent! But did you have to send so much?! :lmao:

Sean, thanks for the excursion info, too!

Later all! I have to shut down my computer because of the storms now.

No problem. Glad it helped.

Our fence variance was approved tonight. We can have a 4 foot fence for Max. The zoning rules for a corner lot limited us to 3 foot without the variance.

The National Health System Pharmacist meeting is this December in Orlando. I've been asked about Orlando hotels. Specifically near the convention center. Anybody got experience with lower cost, with decent quality hotels in the area around the Orlando convention center?

Hi all,

Timidly jumping in here, you guys have such a great thread going!

My family will be on this sailing and with the 75 day mark looming I am really wondering about our dining rotation.

We have Late Dinner and have requested 8pm. Don't know if that counts for anything, but what are the "latest" in the dining rotation?

I have read that 8pm is APPLAPL, am I even close?

Gonna be a great sailing with all the DISers!

If I get up enough nerve, maybe I will introduce myself :cutie:
