I just bought some tickets for HHN at Universal for Weds 22nd October. Anyone else planning on going before the cruise??

Anybody else staying at the MCO Hyatt the night before the cruise?

And...anybody eaten at any of the Hyatt restaurants? We're getting in after our usual dinner time on Friday, so we'll just get a snack from the airport. But, we're starting to think about breakfast on 10/25.

We're staying at the Hyatt on the 24th. The only food we've eaten there is fast food style or the stuff at the gate areas. Still fast food-ish. Not sit down restaurant style. We were wondering about breakfast too.

:wizard: we were going to stay at the Hyatt but figured their food was gonna cost more then we wanted to pay. It was between staying there or getting a Limo for the kids and they chose the Limo. :thumbsup2 But we are also trying to figure out the breakfast thing. I usually go to trip adviser and search the hotel. They have comments about the hotel and what others thought of the hotel, food, etc. Just an idea. ;) Good luck.

Ok, question. My family is all worried about the girls falling overboard.:headache: Can anyone tell me what the railings are like? We are staying in a verandah. I'm not too worried but I need to make them feel better. Also are there any locks on the door to the verandah?

the doors going to the verandah lock and in my opinion are somewhat tricky to figure out - for some reason i have a tough time when i first get on and then it seems to be very easy - but that could very well - just be me!! the railings on the verandah have plexiglass up to the railing - so it should make it rather difficult for them to fall over :)

This morning I updated the Roll Call to include the following families:

If I have missed your family, please PM me and I will add you next time I get the chance (for some reason I have been way too busy lately!)

See you all real soon!

This morning I updated the Roll Call ]
:

Thanks for adding our info to the roll call.

My 10 year old daughter and 6 year old son were wondering if there are any kids their age that would like to start e-mailing prior to the cruise. They would like to make some friends before the cruise so they know someone on the ship and in the kid's clubs.

I noticed that some other cruise meet boards have started a thread just for the kids to interact. I didn't know if anyone would be interested in that instead.

Hope you are all having a good Monday- Jen

Hi!
I must admit, we have had reservations for the 10/25/08 cruise for quite some time, but I just haven't had time to keep up with this thread. We have a group of 3 staterooms: me, DH, and DD2 . . . my mom and dad . . . my sister her friend. We will be staying at the Hyatt on the night of the 10/24/08, which is what prompted me to post. We would love to meet up for breakfast on the 25th. What do I need to do to get involved with the trick-or-treating and the fish extender exchange? Although this is our third cruise (first cruise for the other two rooms), we are new to participating in meets. By the way, have you seen how much the prices have gone up for our cruise. We booked for about half of the cost if you would book now!

I know! The prices are crazy now. We booked last year and I have been watching the prices as well. Thank goodness I am on the ball.:rotfl: I have been wanting to go on a Disney cruise for some time and when my DH said its a go I got right on the phone and booked it. I'm a little nuts. :cool1:

Just checked category 6 pricing... Our rate of return on the pricing of this cruise is better than the stock market! We booked during the first week 2008 opened, I think.

A couple of summers ago, I bought 10 day, 5 day h20 parks & more, hopper, non-expiring park tickets: same deal...better than putting money into Wall Street.

Is there such a thing as a super good deal anymore? With the gas prices nothing is cheap anymore. Oh well, We are still gonna be on the Magic in Oct. so thats all that matters. :woohoo:

Wonder how Lynn (Dizzy) is getting on
anyone heard

There is also a safety lock placed high on the veranda door that children cannot reach.

Hey all --
I can't remember where the post was -- but does anyone know the exact date CC members can book spa/palo/excursions for our cruise ... we're in Los Angeles, so I think I can book at 9 the night before -- is that right?

Also, if they yank Costa Maya and put in a new port, what do they do about excursions?

Woody- thanks for the info on the door locks. My family will sleep better knowing that the lock is up high.:thumbsup2

I know this has been asked before but I cant seem to find which page since there are 187 pages. Where can I find pictures to use on my door magnets? Someone had posted some real cute micky ears but I have no clue where I had found them. :confused3 I'm just trying to work on some of my stuff now so I am not rushing in Sept & Oct. ;) Any info would be great! Thanks everyone!:dance3:

I don't have the dates handy, but west coast is 12:00 AM - east coast is 3:00 AM.

HI Vanessa

I think you might find the magnet graphics on this thread on the main cruise board, I don't recall any being posted on here, but I may be wrong. I know what you mean about wanting to get things done, I still have pirate costumes and halloween costumes to make (not to mention finishing the fish extenders and making some door magnets, T-shirts etc etc etc) and time is ticking away - I almost feel that I need my countdown ticker to go backwards for a while to give me some catch up time!

This is the thread on the main cruise board which may help you find what you need?
