Sorry to me a downer but i have just gotten the news that my Uncle Eddie has been told he has severe lung cancer and it has spread to his lymph nodes. we dont know what stage it is at but we are hoping we can catch this and get him in remission. My other uncle, his brother, will be taking to a cancer research hospital in Houston, TX called MDAndersons. We hear its one of the best in the country. I hope you all can put him somewhere in your prayers as i have alot of faith and believe in power of prayer.

So sorry to hear your sad news. You and your Uncle are in our thoughts and we are sending a big and lots of that he responds to the treatment.

The weather is lovely today. DH and I have washed all the vehicles and straightened the garage. We are going to pull a few weeds next and maybe I convince him to pick up a very flowers from Lowes to plant. Tomorrow we will be at DTD all day. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Dh and I were off yesterday and we spent the better part of the day working out side in the yard.
We tore up a bunch of crab grass and put down mulch did a bit of edging etc.
We started at about 1 pm and were done at about 5 pm.....
BUT the rain started at about 2ish and i was determined to finsh with what we had purchased so i put on our frog togs(motorcycle rain gear) and just kept working!
I am definitley feeling my age or maybe even older to day!

My body is hurting sooo bad every muscle and bone!
Even my fingernails!

We are getting ready to go out and purchase more lulch to do a bit more work.............BUt i will from now on rmeeber my age and do it in steps!

Dizzi - I got into chat, but it was a bit slow. Nobody there, though. Thursday night I forgot about it until after Survivor, but didn't try then because the last few times I've tried that late, there was no one there. Low and behold, get on the boards Friday to find you guys were there for another few hours after that! Leave it to me!

Bought iron on paper at Walmart last night. Now need to get ink for the printer and t-shirts. Noticed that they had magnetic paper as well - looking forward to trying that too. Have been looking around for material for the fish extender - have only found Tigger/Pooh and Princess or Tinkerbell. Too "girly" for a cabin that will have 3 guys! T-shirts, magnets, and fish extender will probably be the extent of my Holly Homemaker abilities. Will either be buying costumes/pirate outfits, or begging/bribing a friend to make those!

Mommy2777 - sorry about your uncle. Thoughts and prayers are with you. My aunt is just going through her second round of radiation in a year, but has a good prognosis, so I know what the worry is like. Hopefully you'll all get good news soon.

Have a good weekend, folks - for what's left of it anyway. Another snowstorm forecast for here tomorrow, so am completely green about the gardening, dizzi!

thank you to everyone who is praying for my uncle, you dont how great that makes me feel. we should know something this coming week. thanx again. Well other than that i did try to have a great weekend, we went to the demolition derby that was held at our fairgrounds, whata crash up, bang up time that was! went shopping, did taxes, ug, enjoyed family and my and the family looked back at some old pics of the kids when they were babies, so funny my daughter saw a pic of me when i first met daddy and said "MOM, yoy were HOT!" i said 'WERE???!!!" lol to funny. so sad though that they had to grow up so fast. well i hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend.

DW and I had tickets for both Hershey Bears hockey games this past weekend, so we got a hotel room up there Saturday night. I swam Sunday morning, then hit the fitness center while DW took a Pilates/Yoga class. After checkout, took a nice stroll through the Hershey Gardens. Neat to see things still in their winter state. Tulips were coming up everywhere, though. Next was a stop at the Antique Auto and Bus Museum. The bus from the movie Forrest Gump is on display there. Dinner at Red Robin, followed by another Bear's loss to the Manitoba Moose.

was able to start booking at the 7 month today for the Beach Club villas
got a 1 bedroom and they have availabity for the rest of our stay
just have to book day by day

Got my corned beef and cabbage ready, getting the kids ready to eat dinner, DH doing some finishing touches to the beef....YUMMM!!!! I wish I could say I'm Irish so that I really had some attachment to the day but it's really just an excuse to eat the beef and cabbage! LOVE IT!!!

I had a wonderful weekend and we had a blast with DH's high school buddies at DTD. I found 3 different sizes of cookie cutters for whoever was asking...no sprinkles though I also picked up some great goodies for the fish extenders and a few Disney Cruise Line shirts at the Disney Outlet on the way home..LOVED THAT PLACE it was like shopping Disney 1/2 price. I'll post some picks later
