HI

shrpgrl: welcome back from your cruise - that cookery class sounds a lot of fun!

Dizzi: so sorry to hear about your family crisis - hopefully they will be able to keep it amicable for the sake of your niece. Kids can be very resilient and seem to be able to cope with this type of thing happening. Sending you all a big  and hoping this is dealt with as smoothly as possible. Keep thinking those happy cruise thoughts!

Dizzi's Son: Happy Birthday to you! Have a great day! ( I don't suppose you can show him any birthday messages as he doesn't know he's going on a cruise - and might be a bit curious as to why you are on the cruise board!
But anyway:

Happy Birthday Joe!

Jackie: We are thinking about doing the Fury Catamaran Sail, Snorkel and Beach Party in Cozumel, as I think it has something for everyone and should be relaxing. I did fancy going to the Tulum ruins but don't fancy a long bus trip really. At CC we will probably rent out sailboats / kayaks for a while and some of us want to do the stingray encounter. The kids want to do the banana boat but I think I'll sit that one out!

Shyla!!!
You're alive! You're alive!

But you won't be on our cruise? Say it ain't so! I can't go to Palo without remembering our brunch!

I've actually been thinking about you. I know you two are pretty involved in politics, and it seems to me you were working on someone's campaign. I had visions of you still doing some last minute campaigning right up until the bitter end, and thought we could make the hospitality suite into the Official SteveMed Campaign Headquarters. I'd be willing to vote for whichever candidate looks the best in that banana thong. :)

We will miss you!

:surfweb: pirate:

Oh girlfriend, you have no idea how this hurts! We could have had such a great party with you all! You will have a wonderful time, though. This seems to be a great group!!!!! :woohoo:

Is mketting still going?

We are a very political household - and for the first time ever, a split household. We keep cancelling each other out at the polls. We're not working on anyone's campaigns, though - but I did just get asked to go down to Rhodie this week to help out but I think I will pass. I am not sure I am so committed to my candidate anymore. I always thought my husband was the smarter of the two of us, and I think in this case he is yet again. We may become united again shortly.

Well, that's the news from this kneck of the woods. The kids are getting very big! My son is in kindergarten and is such a little man and my daughter is now just the most beautiful thing with wavy platinum blond hair. She's growing up faster than I want her to. I think that must be the story for all mothers of all little girls.

Take care, and I will pop in on you guys from time to time.

Ciao! :cutie:

Thanks for your good thoughts GUYS i appreciate it!

I had a good cry after i went to bed.

I think i am more worried about my brother in all of this. He struggles with a bit of depression and asked her to leave since neither of them were happy.

I know that we both had a VERY ROUGH childhood and he is about 8 years younger than me. It took me what seems like a life time to BE HAPPY! and More than anyything i WISH for him Happiness!

I know his struggles and pray that he can get through them and find happiness as i have!

Talk about growing up too fast!!!!

i just taight my DD How to chave her legs this past weekend before we went to the beach!!!!!

UGHHHHHHHHHH!

TOO FAST!!!!!

I just came my local Disney store and boy was i amazed, they had ALL
t-shirts for $5 so boy did I stock up! also snowglobes 1/2 price, beach towels 2 for $10......BUT and boy is it a big BUT, they must not like "fat" girls, cause they didnt have anything for me:sad2: anyway if you have a nearby Disney store GO GO GO!

i will work on Tuesday to get us soem solid things to vote on.

Dont know if SHRPGRL has put any poll on the other site or not!!!!!

Today I got a wild hair and went to Wal-Mart.

I bought:

pop up hamper
clothes pin
big Zip lock baggies
tooth brush covers
some trial size stuff
ponchos for all 4 of us

I got my bagallini in yesterday. As we're going to The World for the week prior so some of the things are for then as well. I also bought the mole skin stuff for my feet. I'm using it now though, I tore the back of my foot up pretty bad. Side note, do not put this directly on a scab or loose skin it will pull it off when you remove it. Cover it up with a band aid then the mole skin. Duh Karen :lmao:

I also bought Courtneys formal today and her shoes. She tried it on and twirled around all around the house.

I looked for me, but I'm still hoping to lose a few (ALOT) more pounds before then.

I also got a pair of flip flop style crocs for $7.50 at Dawahares. How cool?

I'm so ready to get out of here. It's cold and snowy, can't we go now?

I guess I'll have to think warm fuzzy thoughts until October.

Am I the only one who passes the time by buying little things and putting then in your special place so your dh doesn't see it and tell you how nutty you are? If I were sane, would I have married you :rotfl2: Just kidding.

I bought a laundry bag type one yesterday. DS9 wanted to claim it for his room, and I told him no way - it's for the cruise! You wouldn't mind, but not only is the cruise still almost 8 months away, I only paid $1 for it at the dollar store :lmao: . CruiseBoundnKY, I may have found my soul mate in you!!!!!!!!!

As for excursions, I was looking really hard at Xcaret for Cozumel, but don't know if I want to spend all day on an excursion - it leaves very little time to explore the port area. We might just head to either Paradise Beach or Chankanaab National Park on our own. I would have loved to do the zip line, but DS9 will not be old enough, and even if he was I seriously doubt he would do it - he does not like heights. Costa Maya is still iffy, of course, and I think for Castaway Cay it will be hanging out, maybe so the 2 day bike/snorkeling/tube rental, and hopefully the stingrays. We did the parasailing last time, and absolutely loved it, but don't know if I'll so it again. Think I'd rather try the sting rays this time. I'd love to do a snorkeling excursion in either Cozumel or Costa Maya, but DS9 (again!) would not hear tell of it last time - fear of sharks! - so I don't know how much luck I'd have talking him into it. Xcaret is still awefully tempting though...
