In our last chat we had talked about doing ORANGE (for women) and BLACK(for men) tshirts..for our embarkation day!!!!!!!!!!!

Was wondering who had suggested this coudlnt remeber and if any one is going to handle this????????

I am thinking of using our tshirts as a gift.........way to let the kids know we are going on a cruise as we cross over the bridge and see the ship........'still on our way to the beach' and Just give them a present and have them put them on.

maybe i should look on the Halloween on the high seas board maybe soemone said something over there!!!!!!

I have been rearranging my furniture AGAIN!!!!!!! i think i am happy with it now..........we purchased to recliners and i had to find a spot i was happy with when my Dh had his sprawled out all evening long!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now off to finish the curtains!!!!!

Yes it would have meant that...........BUT it was definitley a BIG FAT PIPE DREAM!!!!!!!!! And we lived it for about 10 minutes!!!!!

So i am back on the Halloween cruise.

We wanted to do that cruise VERY BADLY and we checked previously to booking this one and there were not rooms available.

And i went on today to just look around and there were several available.
But even with our points for a verandah room it would have still cost us $9500and an inside room would have been points plus and extra $5550.

So hopefully they will do it again when we can truly afford it!

We could have put it on credit cards but we want to pay them off before this cruise and only 3 months to plan would have really been pushing it any way!

MAYBE i will reward myself and just pay for an up grade when we get to the terminal if they have anything available.

That would be MUCH LESS than $9000!

OK, back again!! I must say 2008 has been umm..interesting to say the least.
I am so sorry I have been away for so long only to come back and then go AWOL again. Without all the gory details, I am back and Lord willing this time for good, NO MORE LIFE INTERUPTIONS PLEASE!!!! I will not complain however for things could've been soo much worse than they actually turned out to be. Thank you for the pm's and for missing me

Dizzi,

I was the one who suggested the orange and black t-shirts, but to be honest don't think it's something I can organize from here, and certainly would not be able to bring them with us - would be way over luggage limits on the plane! Still don't know how I'm going to manage Halloween & Pirate costumes for us all, as well as halloween treats and fish extender stuff. I am such a terrible overpacker at the best of times that I am already having nightmares of the weigh in at the airport! But duh - just realized that it's more likely everyone just gets their own, but with everyone using the same design. Wasn't someone on the chat last week going to check with their neighbor-in-the-know about how to do this??

As for who's in health care - I am a social worker with a health organization, so I'm in there as well!

I used to work in a hospital until I decided it was best to stay home with my girls. But now that the youngest is getting ready for school this year I'm off to find a new job in Sept.

Another healthcare worker here - I am a midwife!

Dizzi - I am so pleased that you didn't change your cruise (sorry!) as I am so looking forward to meeting you on this one!

I have just been sitting here focusing on my cruise and have written a list of all the things I still have to sort out! It's a bit scary when you get it all down on paper in front of you:

Here is my list:

1. Flights from UK to Orlando
2. Hotel accomodation for week before the cruise in Orlando
3. Hotel accomodation at Cocoa Beach for night before cruise.
4. some sort of transport arrangements while in Orlando - probably car rental for the week before the cruise which we will drop off at the port.
5. Disney theme park tickets
6. MNSSHP tickets
7. Aquatica tickets - will have to try this one as it looks amazing.
8. transfer from cruise back to airport after the cruise (not sure of best way to do this yet)
9. car parking at UK airport

Hi everyone,
I love the t-shirt idea. We could use the 'Halloween on the High Seas' logo on them, it would look great. Maybe it would be best if we all arranged to have our own printed. That way we could choose the style as well, i.e. t-shirt/vest top etc. Youngest DD is already rebelling and says she will only wear a black one!!!
My trip planning is now in full swing. So far I've booked flights, accomodation, & all Disney/Universal/ Seaworld & Aquatica tickets. Just transport to arrange!! That may have to be split between town car transfers & perhaps a hire car for part of the trip. Our itinery so far:

10/20 Overnight B & B at Gatwick Airport (London)
10/21 Fly out Virgin Atlantic..4 nights stay at Hard Rock Hotel
for HHN & possibly MNSSHP if we can get to MK ok (no car
for this part)
25/10 Town Car transfer to port
Meet all our DISboard friends & spend a great week
CRUISIN!!!!
11/1 After being forcibly removed from the ship make our way back to
Orlando for a 6 night stay at 'Floridays' resort (anyone ever stayed
there??)
11/7 Move to AKL for a 2 night stay before finally heading back home on the
Sunday, tired & broke but with loads of great memories & some new
friends to share them with
11/11 START PLANNING NEXT TRIP TO WDW !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hows that look so far? Only one major problem as far as I can see...I WANT TO GO NOW!!!!!!
