Finally when I had almost given up, Airtran changed the flight time by 1 minute, on my Saturday, Dec 15th flight. That gave me the right to change my flight with no fees, or except the the new time, so I changed it to Sunday....

Don't you love it when things come together like that? I just had the same experience this morning. After reading all the posts about MVMCP I decided to extend our stay at WDW this December. I called UA, and there was a change fee, but the new dates were priced lower, so it came out even! That's when I knew that it was meant to be!

Yes It was destroyed durning hurricane Dean. If you do a search you will find a ton of pictures.

We're sailing!!! Finally found the meet thread - reading all those dates makes my eyes buggy!

This will be our 3rd DCL cruise. We were on the 11-night Southern Caribbean (#8012) and we'll be saiilng the 15-night Westbound Panama Canal Crossing (Cat 6 GTY) before this one.

Welcome ktjl92. Wow, you are so lucky. I really wanted to do the Panama one but it just did not work out so we decided to do this one.
Don't be afraid to meet us, we are all really nice. I am not the most sociable person on vacation. I go to relax and get some alone time but I like to at least meet people so I can put faces to names.

Welcome aboard It is really fun to get to chat with other disney nuts before sailing. I have made some really great friend on the Dis prior to my last 2 sailings. It is really fun to bump into people that you planned with .

Lucky you. I have to work 7p-7a. I set a bowl of candy out for my son to give out but he is having a group of friends over so it probably won't make it til then.

Happy Halloween! I'm sure next year's halloween will be much happier, as we'll be on the boat! I spent most of this evening coordinating with family, and we now have 11 of us coming on this cruise. My DH, DD, and I bookws this cruise while on an Eastern cruise a month ago, but the rest of the family wants to come next time! This will only be our second cruise, and we'll have some first time cruises and experienced cruisers with us, but we're the only ones of the group that have been on Disney before. We'll have two 4-year-olds in the group, so I'm not anticipating much rest. I had no idea my 3-year-old could continue functioning for days on 6 hours of sleep each night. She must have been storing up her sleep at 11 hours a night the 3 years before the cruise. Too bad nobody told me to do the same.

Anyway, we're all very excited to join the cruise! I'm hoping to meet up with the folks on this board during the cruise. We missed the meet on our last cruise because I had a ditzy moment and forgot my small pile of must-haves when we left, including the meet time/location (and important items for my daughter, including favorite toys to keep her busy at dinner - oops! - the good news is, new toys work almost as well). I intend to plan better next time . You guys sure have been busy. That's amazing, considering how long we have until the cruise. My DH thinks it's a bit much, but I keep reminding him that his lovely wife is also already on this board (I've been lurking for weeks while I waited for the family to get their plans together), so he'd best keep that to himself. I think he's excited because it's his family that is coming, but he refuses to admit it. He does, however, keep asking questions...

Yay, less than a year to go! I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about in that year!! I'm glad there are other people as excited about something a year from now as I am!!

Welcome aboard!!!!I think the pre-planning is such a fun part of any trip!! I call it my threapy.

As this is our first cruise we are so looking forward to all the planning and preparation as it will help to build up the excitement over the months ahead.
I am really looking forward to getting all the different outfits and working out which activities we want to do etc. I am even looking forward to my
pre-cruise weight loss and tone up programme which will start in January (and it will certainly take me that long to get to where I want to be!). I am really looking froward to getting to know all my fellow cruisers during the next 12 months as I am sure it will enhance the whole Disney cruise experience!

Has anyone started any plans or preparations yet?

Welcome to all. We are really looking foward to this cruise. We have done a 4 night halloween cruise in the past but we really liked the DD.

Last time at costa maya we were really dissapointed. We were only on shore for 30 min or so. Dose anyone have any exc. planned. I did the jeep tour on Cozumel last year and I am swiming with the Dolphins this year. My DW is not anywhere near as good in the water as i am so that counts out snorlking. For all the past DDers what did you do?

We are dong the Dolphins this time ny two DD both did it they loved it. I have the DVD and when i watched it it looked like so much fun.
OK got to go back to work.

My wonderful family is of no help when it comes to losing weight. Certainly we aren't the only two wanting to lose a few pounds before the cruise. Anyone else interested?

This is great. I agree, we need to start after Christmas. Too many events focus around really good food. Maybe someone will come up with a good name for us. How about the"Skinny Dippers" Just kidding. I could diet all year and never be called skinny.

I was just thinking about the same thing. Last cruise we had a weight loss group over on the community board. We really help keep each other motivated.

AS of right now with Costa Maya being in ruins we are not making any plans. I know that if all is well I am planning on taking Vito jr on the Maya ruins tour that a bunch of fellow Disers went on our last cruise.

What I read was it will be repaired in 7 to 8 months. We weren't even going to get off, but with no work for a year I bet they could use the tourism dollars.
Man I am ready to go. I fell through a tote of latex glue yesterday and took 2 hours and about a gallon of rubbing alcohol to get it off and my foot is still sticky. YUCK. the worst part is now my brother in-law is now calling the newest x man Latex Man. and my darling DW walked around all last night singing "I'm rubber you are glue anything you say bounces off me and sticks to you", and at this point she would jump in to me and start yelling " I am stuck and I can't get off!!!!" Yea ha,ha,ha. It was funny thought I wouldn't admit it.
And of course the weather here is just plain nasty. They are calling for extremely high winds and power outages on the coast. Today is a good chili making day.
