We used Tiffany Towncars last time, and were more than pleased. Will probably book them again. Last time there was a coupon in the back of my passporters book for $20 off, which helped. Was cheaper than DCL transportation, and got us to the port quicker - which was what we wanted.

Haven't decided when we're going down yet - depends on my DBIL. At the least we're going down on Wednesday, staying at WDW. However, my DBIL and his family might meet us in WDW - they live in another province, and we haven't seen them in about 6 years ($$$$ to fly from here to there - we can get a week in Disney, airfare included for almost the same cost ). If they go as well, we plan to go down the week before - a full week in WDW before the cruise :woohoo:. It will mean taking the boys out of school for 2 full weeks, but a chance to visit with family we don't get to see will make it worth it. How long we're staying will decide where we stay - if full week, it's value, if few nights would love to try a moderate resort. But realistically, it's only a place to crash at night, so it will probably be POP - gotta save money where you can! (Funny how that phoilosphy goes out the window on the cruise - drinks, Shutters, excursions, souvie's... ).

i was just looking at the thread for the cruise from last HALLOWEEN and
on this day
last post of the evening

we were on post 2169
and page 145!!!!!!!

Well back from another Wooonderful shift of nursing. I just keep saying to myself...money for Disney...money for Disney.

dizzi...love the picture. I am always amazed at what they do with the fruits and veggies. People can be so creative.

We did the space center once. It was interesting. I wouldn't mind going again.

WOW!!!! so cool...

Suzie,
Happy's web site talks about MCO parking, toll, and other surcharges. What kind of add-on fees have you experienced? Other than tips, of course.

Sean

Sean, we only have had the tolls and airport charge (I think around $12-15) added on to most of our trips. MK resorts do have another fee for limo service but I'm pretty sure this is standard amongst the hired vehicles...

Just looked at our ressies and they have the $12 charges added for coming out of the airport, and then either $2 or $4 tolls added to our other trip legs (we're coming back to the parks for a few days after the cruise).

None of these includes tips. That is up to your discretion but we almost always have superb service or vehicle upgrades at no cost, so we tip pretty well. I think only once have we actually had the vehicle we reserved!

Hope this helps! You can always call Ingrid at the dispatch office and talk with her. She's very nice.

Valerie, we used Tiffany once and had a not so pleasant experience. BUT you get that with any company! Nobody will have the same service as someone else! We just liked that HL's vehicles were company owned (therefore kept up in maintenance, etc) whereas Tiffany's can be individually owned driver vehicles (not kept so well - the ac vents were broken and no arm rest on the door in the back). So, hey, if you had them and had a good experience, that's great! I've had friends that used HL and didn't care for them.

Lucky you to be able to take the kids out of school that long! I can get away with the time we are because some of the days are teacher workdays, etc. They're pretty strict about attendance in our county. I'm hoping that I can talk with the teacher and get her school work ahead of time so that we can work on it a bit each day to keep up with everyone in her class. But then again, she will only be in 1st grade! How much can there be?!

AND we LOVE    Pop Century! It's our favorite value resort!! The rooms are fun, the pools are great, the food court has a great selection....BUT nothing can beat watching the front desk staff do the Hustle everyday at 6! Hysterical! I've learned though, don't get too close or they pull you in to dance, too!!! Um, it's not pretty if I join in.....

Alright, after much backpedaling and hemming and hawwing, I got on the treadmill this morning to do 2 miles. I know, not much, but more than I've done (or been able to do) these past few months. Depressed that my Pure Weightloss company went out of business, dad, and a few vacations here and there, I've put back on 13 of the 33 pounds I've lost since last March. Bummer, I know.

So, bring on the weight loss group! Bring on the accountability! I WILL fit back into my old clothes soon and have to buy new ones for the cruise! I PROMISE!!! (Okay, BigBen, this is where you tell me I CAN DO IT!)

First, I gotta eat something....just kidding! Naw, first I gotta get my butt in gear...and where is that link again? I'll find it....I hope....

To be continued.....

michelle9343, 80..no kidding. I would trade you if you want. They are saying that we will have 5-8 inches more snow tonight. I think it is like 12 degrees now. Tuesday we went from 51 degrees to 0 and the wind chill was-20. The radio kept saying "including the wind chill we dropped 70 degrees". :scared1:
It was 40 when I went into work and I wore a sweatshirt. I froze coming home.I don't think my van warmed up at all. What I would give for some warm weather. Bring on the cruise!!!!

suziemva I am getting a treadmill this week. I can't wait. I hope to need some new clothes for the cruise. I want to walk at least 4 days a week. The weekends are impossible due to work schedule.I need to do something to boost my weight loss because my DH is doing weight watchers too and he drops it so fast, it makes me want to cook all his favorites in butter. Just kidding....or am I?;)
