Hi Pam...may I call you Pam?

My DH plays hockey VERRRRRY late on Monday nights, and I end up surfing the net to pass the time until I'm sure he's home safe (and my beloved Honda Odyssey is also in one piece). Anyway, I thought tonight I'd peruse your trip report from last year to find out what all the chatter on this link has been about (you Moonie folks!).

So, like many others, I was moved to tears by your story...you GO girl! I happen to work at an infertility clinic, staffed by very fine doctors and staff. Not sure if that's how you got your miracle, but they really are ALL miracles when you think about it.

It looks like you all had such fun last year, I only hope I can join in and keep up...I feel a bit like I'm trying to join the popular clique back in high school! Planning is SO much fun before a trip like this...

Are you still trying to lose weight? I am so proud, I actually got my bottom out of bed and walked for 30 minutes before work...woohoo! The hardest part was finding my shoes, sweats, ipod, hat, gloves, dog leash, etc and laying it all out last night. Not sure yet about tomorrow morning as I'm up late now posting to y'all!

So, thank you for your wonderful report...it made for some great reading on this late night in San Jose.

Disneycruiser, another beautiful family cruising on Magic. I love your DD's t-shirt so cute.

That list thingy you made it awesome. I am not honestly sure if someone is doing a list up like that, I just booked this cruise I think about a month ago so not sure what was planned before that. There is a website out there, that I do know

Was there mention that someone who is cruising with us does the Fish Extenders for $12? I would like to contact them to order one, I don't think I can figure it out to look as good as the ones I have seen on here. I will just be glad to get halloween and pirate costumes done in time.

nice to see more people coming back and chatting, I think this is going to be a really fun group.

Laurel, of course you may call me Pam , and thank you for your lovely comment. I did not have infertility problems, I have a chromosome defect that kept my body from allowing a pregnancy to go to term. With steroids ( can't remember the type) I was able to carry and give birth naturally to my DD. She is my miracle girl!! You must have a wonderful job!! I am sure we will become fast DIS-friends, Dizz and I became great pals on our last cruise and our families hit it off perfectly. No fear there is always room for more DIS friends, the more the merrier!!!


HockeyChic, Thank you for the compliment. I am out of the loop too, we have plenty of time to plan though so I am sure we will become great Dis-friends. The lady who made the fish extenders was 101dalmation fan I am not sure if she is cruising with us this time or not. I made mine with a NO SEW technique and I think I will do MUCH better now that I have practiced. If mine turns out ok I would be more than happy to make one for you if no PRO's step forward

Thanks Pam for the offer that is so nice. They look really neat, they didn't have them when I last cruised Disney back in 2005. I am on the lookout for really neat things to put in them.

I also went back and read your trip report, wow wonderful to have your miracle baby so happy and healthy. I have a friend who had to go through the same shots you speak of and it was horrible on her but she now has 2 beautiful boys so worth it all. Also congrats on your weightloss, you look fabulous!!!!

Where is everyone else today??? I guess everyone is working...well I am suppse to be to, but just can't get it together today so why try

I am here, just chillin after a 101/2 hour shift at work!!!!!
And another tomorrow!!!!

i think i told you guys i am planning on redoing my Living room before i start on my halloween costumes, so as soon as i rest i am going to start on the curtains........... I get my new furniture TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think i might take before and after pictures to post i feel like i am playing TRADING SPACES all on my own!!!!!

it is a system ....( cute little thingy you hang on the fish out side your door) ......... that holds cute little things that other dissers bring to you as little surprise gifts.........


we got so manyy cute things.

candy and magnets and pens and pencils and gifts from hometowns. ETC!!!!

great news guys - we have now passed 1000 posts on our thread, and more importantly we now only have 289 days to go until we're on board the Magic!

I am going shopping with a friend to the sales on Friday to see if I can pick out any cruise clothing bargains!

Pam - it would be fantastic if we could do something like a scavenger hunt for the kids on Halloween - even though my kids are all too old for it they would love to help out with the clues etc. I really enjoyed your last trip report by the way! You all seemed to have so much fun on that cruise!

Lynn - I would love to see your before and after photos - we are very slowly doing up our house and we have taken lots of before and after shots as we have made progress - it's amazing when you look at the difference!

Sorry, I lurk a lot but don't post that much lately, but wanted to offer prayers and sympathies to those in Lakeland, FL (someone on here is from Lakeland, but I can't remember who..sorry!). Hoepfully our fellow cruiser was not affected by this.

Thank you for your prayers. We are ok. My daughter and I travel that area EVERYDAY on our way to her school. We alternate driving with a friend of mine and today was her turn PRAISE GOD that the accident was 2 exits away when she got off of I-4. We feel truly blessed as it could have involved us very easily. Several of my daughters classmates were involved in the gridlock but to my knowledge no one was actually involved in the many accidents that occured. My prayers go out for those who were affected.
