Yeah, Tori is excited about this! Some how we heard a few months ago about the release date of the movie and realized it will probably be shown on the cruise....much to Ed's "delight".....we're flipping a coin to see who gets the "joy" of taking her!!! Anyone have a trick coin I can use?!?!

We had a Nov. '06 Double Dip reunion lunch onboard with Jackie and flymv. Jackie shared how much fun she had with you as a tablemate.

I think you're right.

On our recent cruise, they premiered Narnia - Prince Caspian at sea with a midnight showing, then showed it several times during the cruise.

Hi there! We were thinking of booking non disney for the dolphin encounter in Cozumel and for the ruins/beach thing at Costa Maya. My son will be 12 and my DD will turn 10 on Oct 28th during the cruise!

sounds great, I was just looking at the Disney excursions for Cozumel and they only have 1 listing for 3+ up and 1 for 4-9 for our little one. Both dolphin type encounters for around $100 ea

Do you have a link to the excursions you mentioned?

What a great resource. We (myself, DH, DD (10) and DS (6)) just booked our cruise and we are all very excited. We'll be flying in from Denver the night before and staying near the port. We've just started looking through the posts on this board and are beginning to research shore excurions. Has anyone gone to Xcaret eco-archaeological park near Cozumel before? We were also thinking about a dolphin swim- any thoughts?

I went when I was little with my parents and returned on our honeymoon trip to Cancun in '96 - it was beautiful and we have always wanted to return if we ever made it back to Cancun. We also went to Xel-ha which is also the same sort of park experience from what I remember and is also close to the ruins of Tulum.

I had thought about possibly doing Xcaret but since this is our first visit to Cozumel we'll probably look for something to do there this time around.

btw, we also have DD10 Raquel & DD4 Sophia which might be a good match - we just found out about HSM3 being released when we will be on board so I'm sure she will be in heaven

I booked breakfast yesterday morning at Boatwrights the morning we head to the ship! They asked if we had anyone under 17 in our party -- I said no, just big kids at heart.

DH and I figured we would get a nice walk from POFQ to POR (since our shuttle doesn't get us until 12:15, we thought it would be a while till we had lunch).

We also checked out the menus at Earl of Sandwich & Ghiradellis for the night before ... thanks to my Disney Dream Dollars, we're covered! Wahoo.

I cant believe we are getting so close! I wasnt nervous about it until everyone started making plans again!

We are not doing any Disney excursions this time. Has anyone heard if we are actually stopping at Costa Maya yet? With the hurricane last year, it will be hard to plan ahead too much. Many of the travel websites may not have been updated since the hurricane and may actually be out of business.

We are not sure what we are going to do in Cozumel. We were there last year but it rained. Not sure if we want to travel around the island or go to Xcaret. Our kids will be 3yrs and 5yrs then so Xcaret may be too long of a trip and not so enjoyable at their ages. I have been there before though and it is wonderful. Cant wait to go back again either this trip or the next!

Time to start making door magnets and seperating packing piles in the guest room!

We are thinking of doing Discovery Cove and Chacchoben Mayan Ruins with NativeTour.

I would love to go to Xcaret but our kids are young (6,5,2 at cruiser), long bus rides would not be fun.

Funny this should come up! I just requested late July off at work as I was thinking of taking DH to Cancun for 5 days to celebrate his big 4-0 in style.

I was thinking of headed over to Xcaret during our trip too!

But then, leaving the all inclusive?


Not sure I want to.

I'd rather eat, drink, and soak up some sun!
