ANOTHER huge suprise for me today!!! Just went back and re-read the Airtran policy on baggage. They changed it from travel date to booking date so we can now have TWO bags per person at no charge!!!

OH MY GOSH CAN THIS DAY GET ANY BETTER?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I would print that out (like now before it changes) highlight it and make sure you have two copies... one for the gate agent and one for you for every leg of your trip....

I vote for reminder cards - a gentle "poke" to remind me about it. I tend to look at the calendar AFTER the fact!

Amy, I did have the packing list but now trying to remember if it was on this thread or thread 1.....will keep looking....I think it was Jackie that posted it from someone else. Jackie, any thoughts????

Alas, his "500 duct tape uses" is gone to be replaced with The Duct Tape Guys website link. Oh, it was a great funny read! Some practical, some, well, let's just say the pharmaceutical companies had no worries from them...... and always remember: Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver!!!!!

Had a LOT of catching up to do with reading this thread! My thoughts are with the few of you who have been going through emotional times.

I have been very busy at work and with the kids' school/activities/sports kicking in. Didn't even reallize how CLOSE TO CRUISING WE ARE!!!

Reading about all that you all have accomplished in getting ready is making me reallize how UNREADY I am for this trip!!

Fish Extender--waiting to order one. Person who will make it is on a cruise now. Lucky her!

FE gifts-sort of have some. Not nearly done.

TOT goodies--Nada as well.

Cruise Documents: NOWHERE TO BE SEEN!!! This is Disney's way of getting even with me for transferring ressie to Costco no doubt!

Formal night? Just look for the most INFORMAL family there and you'll have my crew...unless I get some shopping done this weekend. Doubt it!!

Door Signs: Lots of downloads, but alas they are all in my computer and yet to be printed, never mind "Magnetized".

Hope all of my ill-preparedness makes everyone else feel better about how more organized you are than me.

Wow, rereading what I typed is making me even more disgusted with how little I've done!

The only thing that I have ready (well, 75% ready), is our Halloween costumes. I think it's an awesome group one, but I will not reveal it on here. (I know you will all be waiting with baited breath-NOT)!

OH, and saving the best (worst) for last--I still haven't told my kids' school that I'm pulling them out for a week. My sneaky friends who have done this have advised me to wait--less time for them to compile work for the kids. "Sorry, Principal, we just planned this Disney Cruise a couple of days ago. " This should go over well!

OK, thanks for listening to my rants. Sorry I can't be on here "Talking" with all of you more often, but I am looking forward to meeting everyone, and once again, THANK YOU for all the hard work you're doing organizing activities!!!!

HI Everyone

Firstly:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BETHANY BALSTER FOR YESTERDAY!



Hope you had a lovely day and sorry I didn't post this yesterday as I was at work until after 10pm and then I went straight to bed (no stamina).

Can't believe I have missed so much over the past couple of days with being stuck in work - I really want to stay home and join in all the fun and frivolity on here!

Yesterday was crazy .....I was in charge of a ward of 20 postnatal women and 21 babies ( one set of twins) and had only 2 student midwives to help out - I felt terrible as I couldn't give quality care at all. (we are supposed to have 2 midwives but one called in sick)

Tomorrow I have my OPD urology appointment and Monday I have my OPD gynae appointment, so fingers crossed I will get sorted out before the cruise.
Only 4 more work shifts before we leave (although 2 of them are 12 hour nights ) which is a good thing as I still have soooooooo much to do it's unreal!

Need to get on with FE gifts for list and sub-list. I am still waiting for one thing to arrive and am getting a bit frantic about that! Have finally got 2 semi formal dresses for the girls - and hope to get the lads their tuxedos at the weekend. Still need bits for Halloween and pirate costumes, but I am trying to chill out more about that. What I can do, I will do and what I don't have time to do, I won't stress about (in theory!)

I already have 5 families for group 4 of the FE exchange - so thats really good - any more wanting to join in with that group then please send me a PM with all your details.
