October 22, 2005 Roll call

The arrow is between the E and the X....I never saw it until just now. After that post, I went searching for the FedEx logo...could not see it (the arrow that is). Then I did a google search for the missing arrow. Aha!!! Gotta love Google.

:cool1: Just wanted to tell everyone.....WE GOT OUR DOCS!!!   .... But were still waiting to see if we can get our room ordeal fixed... Either way we've got everything we need now. We also got our ME tickets the other day from AAA...so now it's complete...and just about everything is in order.

Thinking back to where we were last year when we got our docs (DD6 was at Children's Hospital in Seattle)...things are looking much better. Matter of fact we just got back late last night...from a check up at Children's....and they gave her the thumbs up...everything is looking GOOD.

Of course except....right now I'm getting ready to leave and take our dog, Abby, to the vet....when we got back from Seattlel last night....one side of her face was all swollen. The soonest they could get her in was this evening..so now I've got to run off and see what's up with her.

Scrapperjill:

:cool1: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc Woo Hoo!!! Congrats on receiving your docs! I keep checking the front door every day as well, but no luck so far!

Glad to hear that Sydney got a thumbs up  !!!

Now hopefully Abby will get a thumbs up as well! Our cat had the same problem last week (swollen on the left side of the face) and I brought him to the vet Saturday a.m. He had some type of an abcess...nasty. He is taking antibiotics and is doing well.

Welcome to all of our new DIS friends!

Stacy

PS I just got done looking at all of the Navigators posted on Pdarrah's website...so exciting! Thanks for posting them!

Welcome to all of our new cruisers!

I still didn't get my docs yet either. :confused3 That is the first thing I do when I walk in the door at night. Oh well, I guess they will come soon. I know last year they took some time too since they went to my TA first and they are in Florida.

Scrapperjill - Good to here Sydney has a thumbs up!! I remember all of the excitement you had last year with her and then you trip almost being cancelled due to the hurricanes. I guess things are going a little smoother this time around, huh? I hope everything is OK with Abby. Poor puppy!

Kathy

:teeth: Just back from the vets....and it looks like Abby has some sort of allergic reaction to something...So now she's on benadrly round the clock..and taking some antibiotics twice a day (incase it was a bee sting or something like that)...Oh and she got some eye drops because her eyes (expecially the one on the left) is all puffed out, red and dry. :goodvibes

Anyways...I hope you all get your docs SOON also. ...Then we can all do the doc dance

Hi nbrannan - Welcome to the cruise meet thread! As you've probably seen, we have a website (see link in my signature) and if you want to be included in the "Who's Going", just let me know.

DIS Meets

There hasn't been much commentary the last few days ... does that mean everyone likes the Pirate Night meet/time/location or that you all hate it!

If we want to go ahead with a "grown up" meet one evening, does anyone have a suggestion for which evening?

Any futher thoughts on a daily Mickey Pool meet or not?

As soon as we get some sort of agreement, I'll put the info on the website where we can all get at it and print it out.

Docs

Still no docs here :( I also check everyday as soon as I get home. Since we booked directly with DCL this time, I can't even bug a TA about them!

Also, my pirate costume isn't here yet. We ordered it from a costume maker on Ebay and it was supposed to be here before this past weekend - still no word on why it is late... I keep telling myself that we have 3 weeks until we leave - that is still plenty of time to get everything.

Hello to all our "new" cruisers! :)

Scrapperjill, how cool to get your docs. I am ready for mine to come, but figure it will be a while since they have to go through Allseas first. What happened to your dd last year that she was in the hospital? How scary. Alexandra went to the doc yesterday and they think she has walking pneumonia or something like that. She's now on breathing treatments and antibiotics. And, today was her birthday. Oh well, when you're 7 you don't notice anything BUT your birthday. :teeth:

Sounds like everyone is getting things together. We got our MNSSHP tix in the mail the other day (very exciting!) and today I finalized our ressie for All Star Sports (the only thing available on a resident rate for that night... guess one night will be a fun way to try a resort I probably wouldn't have booked otherwise as we prefer Pop Century for a value resort.)

Can't believe the Magic is on her last cruise before she heads to drydock. Pretty exciting!

MelissaE1- Happy Birthday to Alexandra! :cheer2: I hope she feels better soon. It is not fun being sick! We booked through allseas too, so that is why I am assuming they are later than most. We are doing MNSSHP on Friday night, which night are you doing it? I am glad you like the POP Century, we are staying there the night before.

Kathy

So who else is staying on property Friday night? We are staying at the Wilderness lodge. Does anyone know- should we be able to get a bus from there to the boat?

Nbrannan...American scrapper... We are also staying on property... Pop Century... Thursday and Friday before the cruise.

We will be going to the Magic Kingdom and The Very Scary Halloween Party on Friday. (FYI...Halloween tickets needed to be purchased seperately from your annuals or park passes.)

Wow, it's getting close, I better get busy. I haven't even begun to make my list or plan my wardrobe.

Hi Mike & Robin! - Did you get the email I sent to you yesterday? In this age of spam blockers and junk filters, I never know if my email gets through to anyone anymore :( If you didn't get it, please email or PM me and I'll resend.

It sounds like a lot of us our coming in early! :cool1:  We'll be staying on-site the 19th & 20th (Well, our flight doesn't land till 11:30pm, so I don't know how much of the 19th we'll actually be there!) at Port Orleans Riverside. The evening of the 21st we are driving to Cape Canaveral and staying at the Radisson. Our MNSSHP is on the 20th - we'll be 5 pirates (assuming my costume shows up!)

pdarrah

We are going to be at Radisson on 21st also, if some of our traveling crew doesnt' mess up our travel plans anymore than they are already trying. Pdarrah and who else is going to be there friday night? :drinking1

We are flying in on the Sunday before the cruise and staying at Marriotts Cypress Harbour our daughters are flying in on Wednesday. We have a limo booked to take us down on the 22nd - getting so close it is frightening.

We are going straight back to Fairfield Bonnet Creek Resort afterwards that they all say is better than Disney Resorts. Dont believe it myself as we own at Old Key West and just love it there.

So what can Brown do for you today? He brought our Doc's, upon opening our travel pack I found only 1 book with tickets and thought that part of my package was missing, I called Disney and found out that to conserve paper they are putting mulitple names on each ticket, sooooooo, Magic, here we come.

We're flying in on the 19th and staying 3 nights at the Doubletree Castle. We'll hit the Magic Kingdom two days and hang out at the pool the rest of the time. Don't want the kids to get exhausted before the cruise even starts!

Skallwag- glad you got your docs in time. Did you get your ?'s answered?

I'll be working on our posters for the door this weekend. First time so I hope they turn out OK.

I'm getting so excited! :bounce:

MelissaE1....Our dd was in the hospital last year because she was having some respiratory problems...and needed to be on some BIG IV antibiotics :guilty: She also had a couple surgerys done, one to place a PIC line for the antibiotics (wasn't really a "surgery" but they did have to put her completly under to do it) and a second was a sinus surgery to clear out and open up some additional sinus passages so she could breath and clear her nose better. In all she was in Children's for two weeks. :confused3 No fun... So were very excited that she passed this last check up with flying colors.

We're also going to be staying on property before the cruise...We'll all be staying at Pop Century on 10/19-10/22 :teeth: And were planning on going to MNSSHP on the 20th :earboy2: With most of us dressed like semi-pirates. Were not going all the way out in pirate costumes...but just tee shirts and sashes. I haven't even serched for eye patches or bandanas yet. I'm half way thinking of waiting until we get there...then picking something up at the POC ride.

hyandui...congrats on getting your docs!!  So all of your documents things came in ONE booklet :smooth: I guess that's cool...and I can see how it saves paper...when page after page of the books are the same for EVERY member in the cabin...Ours came all seperate so it must be something REAL new that they just started mid way through processing this sailings docs.

I was going to say...we booked directly through DCL last year while onboard...but then transfered our reservations to a local TA (who I WON'T be using again :rolleyes1 ). Anyway...I wasn't sure how long it would take us to get them since they had to go to the TA first. Looks like they were delivered by Brown :goodvibes and shipped 3 day.

As for the dis meets...I'm open to any of them.. I think the pirate night event sounds fun and hope we can get some sort of photo op as a group. Adult night sounds good...as for what night :smooth: that's a hard one...We could say Sunday night...after we have to be back onboard. I don't know. Monday is formal night...but I suppose we could still meet up that evening after dinners..and after everyone had a chance to change???

Oh..also now that were getting closer I wanted to bring up the photo swap. Last year when we sailed a group of us from the dis board cruise meet thread got in touch after the cruise and swapped photos. (well burned CD's) It really gave us hundreds of more pics of the ship, ports, and activites. It also gave us a chance to see areas that we may have missed...or photos of some things that we might have liked to have but for one reason or another didn't take. It was also fun to look through other peoples photos and just see what inspired them to take a pic. Anywho...I'd like to get a photo swap going again this year. Any one else game? It's really not something we need to worry about before the cruise....just something we'll do after we all get back home.

Oh...I also wanted to say HI to all the new people :wave2:

And to remind everyone once again  about the buttons....So for eveyone who recently joined us...I have a button machine and have offered to make "DIS" buttons for everyone who'd like one. I'll just need a little info...like everyones names :goodvibes and stateroom number. There is also information on this on the awesome web site that pdarrah made. If anyone is intrested just send me a PM. pirate:

Hi, :wave2:

Diane and I will be at the airport around 3:00 ish and taking Happy Limo to hotel ...... :earseek:

Will be available for some round of enjoyment... :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Diane just loves Margarittas... :cheer2:

I am a BUD guy, but can be persuade with exotic drinks now and then

Hope to see you and others there. :bounce:

Name a time and place... :rotfl:

No documents yet :hourglass

Walter and Diane.... :earboy2: :earsgirl:

We will be doing MGM on Friday then driving to the Radisson at the Port. We won't be there until around 10pm or so. Anyone else booked on the 10 am shuttle to the port with us????

We are also going to MNSSHP on the 20th but we won't be dressing up in our pirate costumes that night mainly because we will be with our friends and it's the only time they will get to do MK so we will be doing all the rides and we don't want our skirts and stuff to get in the way. We are also doing MNSSHP on the 31st, however, and we will be wearing our pirate costumes pirate:

Pirate night DIS meet sounds wonderful and I would LOVE to get a group photo with all of us in Pirate gear!

No docs yet (sniff) :guilty:

Hi, welcome new comers!

I was able to re-book our flights from Sat morning to Friday morning last night, so we will arrive early!! :cool1: :sunny:

We are staying at the airport, but we will drive over to Disney for a while on Friday (AP holders) so I even managed to sqeeze in a few hours in the worlds most magical place :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cheer2: I know I want to go to MK, but not sure where we will hop to since MK closes at 6pm.

We still do not have our documents yet :( we booked thru DVC, so I think they may take longer than average.

We are not dressing for pirate nite, and we are going to Carlos n Charlies, so I will probably not be in a place your kids all need to see after that :drinking1 , so I will skip that meet! But, an evening bar meet sounds good to me.

Anybody want to join us at Carlos n Charlies? I do plan to be back on the ship for the entire pirate party, but we will be skipping our late dinner seating. I think we will go around 6pm until close to 9:30 pm.
