Hello Lisa. It has been really hard to keep it a secret from her. We are not going to tell her anything. We are in Virginia so we are leaving to go to Florida on the 20th. We are going to stay in Cocoa Beach. We are going to pick her up from school on the 20th in a limo. This is really killing me.... But I know it will be worth everything to see her face light up..... Feel free to PM me as well.... It would be wonderful for her to meet some friends and keep in touch with them. I look forward to hearing from you...... Thanks. Michelle

we are keeping our trip a secret from our kids (DS 4,8) as well. Our neighbors are going and are doing the same. we will all meet down there and put them on the ship, they will love it. It is so hard though, because we so want to talk about it, and frequently catch ourselves saying things we shouldn't! Luckily they have yet to figure that out

anyway, welcome! I can't wait to meet everyone!

Well we dug out the suitcases today. I started packing and putting up summer clothes. I need to look for a garment bag. I have a list going of things to pick up before the trip.
I am up for a meet the first day. I have our lime green mickey heads. I am working on a door sign.
We have first dinning. I am not sure I would be able to stay awake for the later seating.

I am going to start getting things organized too since I have really busy October. And since it is freezing cold here in MN I can pack all our shorts and suits. We didn't get a fall here, it went straight to winter. Now I really can't wait for the lazy warm days on the ship!!

Hi fellow cruisers! Been busy with the start of school and a new job, but I'm kicking it into high gear now!! DD5 and I picked up our lime green mickey heads - and a variety of other colors too! - and found a couple of great pirate shirts on clearance at The Disney Store. Found one for DH and one for DDad. The selection of dollar Disney items at Target are fun. I haven't started packing yet, but I have definitely started "piling"! DH thinks the cardboard drink carriers are going a bit too far, but we'll see what he thinks once we're on the ship! It has been a gloomy, rainy day here in WI, making us all more excited for the Caribbean sunshine.

I filled out all my forms on line this time, so I'm not sure if I will be receiving any documents. The only thing I have left to do is print out a one page form, have the adults sign it and turn it in upon check-in.

We have registered online as well, but my understanding is that we should still be getting our documents anyday now. MSR709, I would think you would be fine with your docs...I would think we would get them either this week or next. Good luck with the move.

No documents yet - but we are anxiously awaiting . We booked a cat. 12 gty. but since there are 4 of us we should get at least an 11. I hope the upgrade gods will smile on us!

I stopped at a dive shop the other day to look at scuba masks since we had problems with our cheap ones fogging and leaking last time. I ended up buying a mask cleaner and a bottle of defogger that the sales guy said will help significantly. Just thought I'd pass the tip along - we've had the same problems with rentals in the past. I guess if the masks aren't clean they just won't seal right.

Smooch, I booked a 12 gty for another family that is coming on the cruise with us. They got their cabin assignment a few days ago. It stayed as a 12. They are also a group of 4 people.

Can someone tell me if you have you cabin number listed on disneycruiseline.com or if they just list the category. I am a TA so I am traveling on a TA discount. I have listed: Verandah Stateroom and that is all. I have not received my docs yet, but was told my stateroom number would be listed on them. I thought it would be online as well. Do your cabin numbers show up when you log into your reservation? Thanks!!

bschiffler, I am doing the same thing you are, as well as a few others I know. We all have the same thing noted on the site. Ours say "verandah stateroom"
Guarantee, Cat 13 . Since we all know there is no such category, this must be an internal notation for DCL. We were told it is a cat 5. My faxed conf page says guarantee cat 5. None of us have gotten a cabin assignment. I am assuming you took advantage of the TA special they ran. In that, they state it is ROH (run of house) cat 5-11. I just want to see the cabin assigned so I can rest easy. As for 3 other families I booked on this cruise, they all have their cabins assigned, and they are all viewable on DCL.com

For those of you who have received your docs, did you book directly through DCL or through a TA...just wondering b/c we haven't received ours yet...hopefully today though. I am gettting a box ready to ship ahead and I'm so excited about it. My kids are going to be so surprised! Only a few more weeks to go! :

When we booked our cruise several months ago, we booked on the DCL site and did not go thru a TA. Anyway, we were allowed to choose which stateroom we wanted. It basically popped up several choices within the category we wanted, and we just chose where we wanted to be on the ship. I guess if you book far enough out, it probably will let you choose.....

As for the docs, as of last night, we have not received ours yet either...
